“She’s throwing tantrums again,” Shen Luo’an thought.
Shen Luo’an watched her from behind but was unbothered. He then turned around and continued to change the bed sheets, pretending to be oblivious to her.
It was always hard to spend time alone. Shen Manting sat down by the side and began to use her laptop. When she noticed that Shen Luo’an was almost done with changing the sheets, she dawdled over with her laptop and laid down beside him.
She had become increasingly fond of watching movies ever since she watched “Gone With the Wind” with Shen Luo’an.
Today, she chose to watch “Inception,” a movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Shen Luo’an glanced at the laptop to check the time and realised that it was getting rather late. “Aren’t you going to bed yet?” he asked.
Shen Manting pretended not to hear him and continued to stare straight at the laptop as though she was very absorbed in watching the movie.
Shen Luo’an smiled and quickly laid down to sleep and shut his eyes.
However, he couldn’t fall asleep since Shen Manting was watching a movie right beside him and it was playing out loud.
As such, he began to devise plans for their future together instead.
“When Shen Manting becomes pregnant, I’ll put my lab work aside for a bit and put Lao Wu in charge of everything for that period of time,” he contemplated.
“I’ll only head back to the laboratory from time to time to check in on things. I could stay by her side during the rest of my free time,” Shen Luo’an ruminated.
Shen Luo’an worried a lot during the past two years, during which Shen Manting was in a coma.
He felt that he should take a good break for the upcoming year.
“I could head back to the lab again after Manting gives birth to the child,” Shen Luo’an mused.
“All will be well if Manting does not recover her memories until then or if she never recovered them,” he thought.
“Maybe if she recovered her memories during that period of time she may not hate me as much as up till then, I have been taking such good care of her and have been attending to her every need,” Shen Luo’an thought.

“Mabe if she saw how well I took care of Xiao Yue’er too, she may even forgive me for all the terrible things I have done to her in the past and she would no longer resent me…” Shen Luo’an wondered to himself.
Shen Luo’an laid under his blanket and his eyes remained shut even as his imagination continued to run wild.
After a long time, Shen Manting finally shut the laptop and placed it aside then she laid back down in bed carefully so as to not wake Shen Luo’an up.
However, just as she laid down, Shen Luo’an quickly reached over to hug her.
Shen Manting shuddered and was evidently shocked.
She instinctively reacted in self-defence and elbowed Shen Luo’an. She pouted playfully and said, “You’re so annoying. Why are you pretending to be asleep when you’re not!”
“Since when did I pretend to be asleep?” Shen Luo’an replied and his lips curled up into a smile. “You were the one who thought that I was asleep. I never claimed that I was,” he said.
Shen Manting was unhappy and retorted, “That’s terrible logic! It doesn’t make any sense.”
Shen Lou’an embraced her and whispered, “Let’s sleep.”
The heater had already been turned off in the Capital and the weather was slightly chilly today, so it was fairly cold in the bedroom.
Yet, at that very moment, Shen Luo’an’s chest felt strangely warm.
Shen Manting gently leaned into him and hugged him back as she closed her eyes.
Although she was still slightly irritated by him for scaring her earlier on, she still snuggled up to him; since she was very tired, she soon slipped off into a deep slumber.
As usual, she was haunted by a string of nightmares.
In her dreams, she was at a very lively wedding where luxury cars came and went.
The beautiful bride was clinging onto the handsome groom and people were crowding around them as they slowly made their way out of the venue.
She watched from afar and after they disappeared behind the door to the extravagant and luxurious villa, she backed off slowly.
Shen Manting was obviously of who the bride was but right then, her heart began to ache and she could not understand why; it was strange.
It was as if she had experienced this exact situation in the past.
After slowly backing off, she quickly ran off into the night and disappeared.
“Goodbye, Shen Luo’an,” she thought.
