Princess Procrastia languished in straits most dire.

"There is no greater sacrifice I can make than I do now!" Princess Procrastia declared, holding one hand up to her third best tiara and sighing dramatically. "For on the very day of my wedding, I find myself in the barren wilderness, helpless and without aid!"

"..." Maiden Vajin spied a bit of lint in her fur, plucking it off with a precise claw and flicking it to the ground.

"This journey I am set upon shall be a trial never before taken by any demon, great or small! Though every step shall weary me beyond comprehension, I shall press ever onward!" Girding her fortitude, the princess looked forward to the journey ahead, resolute.

Maiden Vajin adjusted her legs on the plush cushion, seated across from her charge in the spacious carriage gifted to Procrastia by her great aunt three times removed, Empress Wroth of the Horrid Lands. Less dainty than the princess was accustomed to, it had the appearance of a metal hedgehog placed into a blender and then pieced back together by a madman. On the outside, at least, drawn forward by a pair of restrained sloars. The interior was quite lovely.

"Utterly alone!"

Maiden Vajin pointedly did not glance behind the princess through the window of the carriage towards the line of carts and others riding upon tamed torbs. Between the common retainers, the uncommon retainers, those of the Sleeping Army's most elite acting as guards, Princess Procrastia's personal chefs and other needed staff, Maiden Vajin was content they were able to keep the collection of minions to under a hundred. She was really quite pleased with herself, and decided that she would treat herself later today.

"...Vaj, I'm tired." The princess slumped into her cushion and wilting from all the effort. "Tell the driver to stop so I can have a snack."

"Of course, Princess." The Wolvine woman rapped her knuckles on the plating behind her head in precise sequence, the carriage immediately coming to a halt as the driver understood the message. The entourage also slowed and began bivouacking, the cooks taking this as their cue to immediately open the enchanted chests and pull out a few cakes and fresh milk expressed earlier today from the Royal Brothels. This was all made easier because they were still in the courtyard of Castle Indolence, the open gates a dozen feet away.

"PROCRASTIAAAAAAA!!"

"On second thought, we need to go. Right now." Procrastia didn't appear nervous, but she was sweating more than was usual in the heat of the Infernal Realms, adjusting her second best tiara.

Vajin needed no other instruction, immediately smashing through the side window of the carriage and crawling over the jagged metal of the exterior to land beside the driver and taking the reins out of his shaking hands. "Ride, you worthless dogs!" she roared to the train behind her, snapping the reins down on the skittish sloars and licking the blood leaking from a bit of glass in her snout. "Ride, or face a fate worse than death!"

For as the company of Princess Procrastia flew out of Castle Indolence towards the lands of the Alliance, a storm of fire and plagues swirled atop the highest tower, the anger of King Slothe kindled upon realizing the princess had left Prince Premajak standing at the altar.
