I guess I’ll have to fight.

I made my way through the cemetery. The hard, flat ground is easy to walk on and seems to be leading people deeper into the ground.

Strangely enough, there were no monsters wandering around. After walking for a while without encountering any monsters, I saw a western-style building to my left.

Part of the walls had collapsed and there was a hole in the roof, but it was a two-story building with a luxurious feel, as if a nobleman had lived there. It was large enough to house dozens of people and had a maze of gardens.

The cemetery is only around the dungeon, is that western-style building the real entrance? Or is it somewhere else?

There is no one who can answer this question. So I had to find out.

I turned off the road and headed for the Western-style house. I didn’t even enter the garden but it was too dangerous and I stopped.

「Is there a 〈Ghost〉, is there also a 〈Wraith〉?」

Both are beings whose souls have been separated from their bodies. The 〈ghosts〉 only attach to the human body and take away its strength, but the 〈wraiths〉 are powerful monsters that even use magic. Since they don’t have a body, they are immune to any physical attacks made by ordinary metal. And I don’t have either of those. I have no means of attack.

It would be too reckless to go in there and explore. I’ll have to give up in order to return alive with information.

There might be other places similar to the Western-style house. I decided to go back to the path I had been walking on earlier and proceeded to the back.

For a while, there were no new discoveries, just a path surrounded by gravestones.

With a thumping sound on the ground, a cloud of dust rose up.

I spun around and readied my sword. In front of me stood a skeleton knight with a thick sword that was 3 meters tall. He had a physique to match his sword, and was more than twice as tall as me. The path I was walking on was unusable because of the huge Skeleton Knight. Behind me is a hole that leads into a dungeon. It’s going to be …… difficult to escape.

「I guess I’ll have to fight.」

I was hoping to proceed safely, but it seems to be impossible.

I made up my mind and decided to defeat the enemy in front of me.
