Chapter 11: His Little Cub

Nancy's POV

Days went by so quickly and I enjoyed going to school. Baby has placed it upon himself to be my guardian angel.

We were seen almost everywhere together on campus.

He has become my bodyguard. I had people who wished I would disappear and those who wanted to be my friend.

His brothers hate me. Well they may have not said it out loud but it was obvious.

Betty and Roland have become my two best friends. I know it has been just a week but they are the best.

I had to apologize to Roland for calling him a freak that was obsessed with science.

You can't blame me because I'm not entirely wrong.

"Roland, you know when I first met you, I thought you were a science freak," I whispered to him while we were having lunch at the canteen.

I tried not to sound mean.

"He is a freak obsessed with science, no doubt about it. So you don't need to apologize for it," Betty said with her mouth full. She had a chuck of meat in her mouth.

"Really you think I'm obsessed with science, come on you two, science is magical and it is part of our daily life. It gives so much meaning to our existence.

Can you believe what I discovered last night while trying to study the myths that exist between…...?" Roland is indeed obsessed with science and it's all he talks about.

Betty stops him before he could finish his long discovery, none of us were interested anyway.

"There you go again Mr. Scientist please hand me that burger," Roland handed her his burger, not knowing what she wanted to do with it.

He quietly obliges so he can continue talking.

"So as I was saying before she annoyingly interrupted me…." Betty digs the burger into his mouth, that way he gets to stop talking.

"Eat that!" she said as she dive into her own meal.

"Betty, that's rude. Are you okay Roland?" trying hard not to laugh and moreover not appear to be happy because he got to shut his mouth.

"Thank you Nancy this burger tastes delicious than yesterday's own, do you know that about 99% of burgers are made …"

There he goes again "Roland that's enough just eat your burger besides you are not supposed to talk with your mouth full," I shut him up nicely.

"I told you not everyone is interested in your silly science talk," Betty taunts.

"That goes to you too Betty, no talking when your mouth is full. Roland don't mind Betty you are a genius when it comes to science,"

looking everywhere for Baby, my two friends won't let me do that in peace.

Betty can never stop eating "Nancy can I take chicken? You haven't touched it yet. I'm super hungry today," she asked.

''Sure Betty, you can have it" I handed my plate of chicken to her.

"Thank you girlfriend," she couldn't wait to start eating.

"You are always super hungry," Roland said with an angry face, he offered me his plate of chicken.

"Thalat's okay Roland, I'm really not hungry,"
