Grandma insist on throwing a birthday party for Zenab and I even though we both didn't want any party, we both have our own reason not wanting to celebrate. I don't know of Zenab's but a birthday without mum and dad is not a birthday.
We just agree to let her have her way, it was nice to spend some time together just the three of us.
Baby is with the twin so I'm relaxed, I know they are safe.
"Grandma, is there no belonging of mother that I can keep?" Zenab asked as his eyes envy my dress.
Grandma chuckled, "don't tell me you want to wear a dress?" Grandma teased.
"Your mother was both a princess and a prince if she was to be alive she would be the queen to rule all this land so therefore she had the finest of everything, down from clothes to jewelry," grandma's eye tears up as she spoke of mum.
"Come, I will show you, the green palace belong to her, and Zenab you will know it is a forbidden place for everyone in this palace," grandma muttered as her eyes lighten up now getting up on her feet.
She took us to the green palace, grandma make sure everything was kept the way she left it, first she thought mum will return back soon to find her room the same way she left it and later it before a habit of cleaning the place up every day.
She opens mum's closet full of clothes, and her jewelry collections.
"Grandma I want this bracelet," Zenab said picking up a red diamond bracelet, made up of 15 small stones. It was elegant and beautiful.
"That was her favorite bracelet, it was her 13th birthday present and she never wanted to take it off, she wore it throughout that month," grandma huffed looking at the bracelet as old memories flashed back to her.
"This will one day belong to the woman that will one day steal my heart," Zenab muttered after she heard how much that bracelet meant to mum.
I, on the other hand, pick her crown, it was simple but incredibly beautiful, a 15 pearl crown, I picked it up and quickly set it on my head as I watch grandma and Zenab comment, "Wait how come I didn't see that?" Zenab murmur trying to take it from me.
"I picked it first so it mine," I whimper.
"Oh that, I remember it was her first crown I made for her when she was appointed as the Crown Princess, she was just 17 years old, you see how elegant she looked that day, every prince of the land fell in love with her beauty," grandma grins, yes mum was incredibly beautiful even though she hid it behind her nurse clothes.
We laugh at Grandma's funny jokes about mum and her stubbornness.
"Zenab you should go to your chamber and do your duties," grandma said turning to look at Zenab, duties she meant she should go get his wives pregnant, "and Nancy go have some rest," grandma instructed as we both head out leaving her behind, we realized she just wanted to be alone with her thoughts.
Even as the moon goddess she miss a lost soul that had dispersed.
I only hope she is fine, I thought as I head back to my chamber, Baby was waiting for me inside. "Nancy, something happened at the pack headquarters I need to head back, I promise I will be back as soon as I handle everything, please keep me informed," Baby said in a calm voice.
"Alright Baby, I will keep you informed, please come soon," I sob. I wanted to hold him while falling asleep but it seems that is not happening I was disappointed but couldn't show it.
"I will," he hissed planting a kiss on my forehead as he walks away, I reluctantly let go of his hands as he gives me a soft smile.
"I will be back before you know it," he whispers blowing me a kiss as I brushed.
I watch as he walks out of the room, I took a deep breath on the bed as my eyes surveyed the empty cold room, it felt lonely and I thought I could use some company, who else than to disturb Betty and Roland.
I smirk as I went on to their chambers, Roland and Mary-Anne shared one chamber, grandma will freak out if she finds out while Betty was in another chamber opposite theirs.
"Knock.. knock," I knock on Betty's door
"Betty are you asleep?" I asked waiting for an answer.
"No Nancy, I'm up," she replied almost immediately coming over to open the door.
"Come on let's go call Roland we can have our get together like always," I mumbled.
"Of course, I can't sleep anyway," she agreed.
We both head-on and knocks on Roland and Mary-Anne's door and just as we expected they were in the middle of it.
Betty looks at me as we both smirk as if we could read what was on the mind of each other, we push the door open staring right at them as they stop to look at us.
"Seriously, can't you see we are busy?" Mary-Anne pouts, she wishes she could rip our necks off that instant. She falls back brushing her messed up hair back with her hands when she realized we weren't looking away.
"I want to talk to my best friend," I mumbled folding my arms as Betty follows my lead.
"Seriously Nancy can't it wait?" Roland let out a chuckle.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, I promise we will continue this later, wait for me here," Roland whispered looking for his shirt to wear as Betty and I smiles, we enjoyed the frustration and disappointment look on his face.
"I coming along too, I'm not going to stay here," Mary-Anne snaps as Roland looks at me as if he was asking for my permission if she could come.
I smile as Betty and I take the lead out of the room.
I lead them to the terrace, Betty and I sat under the shade staring into the gloomy skies, as soon as Roland and Mary-Anne stepped out the rain started pouring down like it was they were being tested of their patients after their intimate moments were ruined by us.
They joined us under the shade, "did you call us here to scrutinize into the skies?" Mary-Anne pouts as she realized we weren't saying anything, Roland lay beside us and gape into the skies with us.
"Yes and for the record I didn't call you here," I mumbled not looking at her she must have frowned her face by now.
"The stars are disappearing," I complained.
"Yes Nancy it raining what do you expect," Roland said softly.
"The sky is feeling lonely like me," I sob.
"Yeah right, where is that annoying husband of yours?" Roland asked tilting his head to gape at me.
"He needed to go back to the pack," I let out a murmur.
"Oh yeah don't worry he will be back soon," he consoles as he squeezes my hand gently.
"Oh geez give me a break, is that why you ruin our moment?" Mary-Anne complains laying next to Roland.
"Guys I think I'm soon going to break my virginity," Betty whimpers looking away.
"What?" Roland and I exclaimed we all know Betty doesn't have a boyfriend and well she never had one.
"Can you explain what you mean by that?" I asked sitting up straight as Roland also gets up.
"Come on guys, is it a big deal? See I saw this guy in the palace, he must be a guard or a worker, but who cares who he is, when he looked at me my heart melted right away," Betty exclaimed now I see why she couldn't fall asleep.
"You are serious about this?" Roland asked looking at her with keen interest.
"Yes I am," Betty said firmly.
"Tell me how he looks and I will go bring him to you right now, that way I can get rid of you and have my Roland back," Mary-Anne grumble trying to read Betty's mind with her vampire ability, forgetting Betty herself is a mind reader she blocks her right away.
"Try me," Mary-Anne said ask looking confident as Betty let her read her mind.
She disappeared shortly and return with the guard, looking at Betty's face turn red I suppose it's the same one she was talking about.
"My royal princess," he greets with a bow.
"Forget about the bowing, do you like that fat soul over there?" Mary-Anne asked with no emotion on her face as Betty rolls her eyes at her for calling her fat.
"She is very beautiful and gentle...and... " The guard mumbled lost in Betty's eyes.
"Well good then, take her away," Mary-Anne said coldly as he pushes the guard to Betty.
"You mean that?" Betty brushed as her forehead wrinkled.
"Yes my lady," he replied as Betty giggled.
"Go already," Mary-Anne snaps.
Betty and the guard walk away from the terrace, he uses his shirt to cover Betty so she doesn't get wet, how sweet of him.
"Oh wow," I let out a sigh.
"Now how do I get rid of you?" Mary-Anne said looking at me angrily.
"Alright, you two go do your thing," I let out a murmur.
"No Nancy I'm not leaving you here all by yourself in this cold," Roland mumbles.
"Hey," Mary-Anne gives him a cold look.
I assured him it was okay before he was able to leave with Mary-Anne.
