I quietly walk behind grandma as she enters the grand hall, many thoughts swing in my head as I follow her, as I enter the hall I was surprised, everyone was present,
The three princesses Sharon, Molina, and Shelly with princesses from other tribes.
And others women I'm yet to identify.
"Come here Nancy, look at these fabrics, choose as many as you want," grandma whispers with a smile showing me a piece of fabric with a shade of pink and shining sparkles.
"Grandma, what's the occasion?" I asked walking closer to her as the other princesses slightly bow their heads.
"Sit here beside me, your birthday is tomorrow silly," grandma said making room for me to sit even though the others were standing as she spreads the fabric on my shoulders envisioning how a dress made of the fabric will be on me.
I was happy to see her this excited but why do I feel restless as if something was wrong.
"Yes grandma," I hissed leaving all the decisions to her to make.
"All of you come around, pick any fabric you like the royal tailors will sew everyone a dress for tomorrow's grand celebration," Grandma mumbles as the princesses obey picking out their choice of fabric, every princess loves to look glamorous all the time so I can understand their excitement.
If it was up to me I will wear one of mum's clothes but I don't want to break grandma's heart by refusing her, I let her have her way agreeing with everything she says.
I smile as she shows me another piece of fabric.
"Take this too, and this one," she said pointing out the fabrics.
I wish I could hold Leo one more time, I had promised I will avenge him yet his murder gets powerful by the day.
Speaking of the devil here he is, Nico just strode in with his lag dogs of tribe leaders, that support him, I frown as I spotted a girl probably a princess behind them with her head bowing down, I could hardly make out her face, with her blown hair covering most of her face, adorn in heavy ornaments as if she was the queen well only in her tribe that is, I chuckled.
"Hello mother," Nico greeted slightly tilting his head more like mocking grandma.
Grandma forces a smile. "I can see all the princesses in the palace are gathered here, but my to-be wife is not part and I feel extremely heartbroken for leaving her out of such an important gathering," he smirks as my blood boils wanting to wipe the stupid smile off his face.
"Of course, join us dear pick any fabric you desire," grandma mumbles with a smile as one of the leaders push the princess slightly, as she comes to join us. I don't know if she is stupid or acting dumb.
"Yes your highness," she whispers as she walks towards us. There was an empty space beside me and I can see her walking towards me.
"Princess Sharon," I called with my gaze still fixed on her,
"Yes my princess," she replied sharply.
"Come sit down beside me," I mumble as the princess stops mid-way. Sharon giggled and quickly takes the seat next to me.
Nico let out a chuckle as he gazes at me. "You can stand by the rest of the princesses," I rolled my eyes as she nods and smile walking to stand by the other princesses with her hands set on each other in front of her.
"And what do they call you?" I said, couldn't help but sound oddly unoptimistic.
"Princess Adela, from the tribe..." She mumbles as I cut her short.
"Oh, I see princess Adela," I chuckle nodding my head clearly making it known, I wasn't asking because I was interested but because I wanted to know the name of my future enemy.
"We will leave you, ladies to do your thing," Nico beams staring at me, "And oh princess Nancy my marriage ceremony is in two days, I think it's about time we find you a groom too what do you think mother?" Nico grumbles directing his gaze on grandma.
"There is still plenty of time for that Nico." grandma hissed holding my hand not to utter a word, I hold my anger in as it burns me from inside.
"Thanks, uncle for thinking about me," I mumble as I take deep breaths to ignore the pain and anger I was feeling.
He smirks at me one more time before turning to leave. Hell, one thing I'm bad at is pretending, I can't keep faking smiles as if everything was okay.
For a while I couldn't hear the giggling and whispering of the princesses, I wondered if I couldn't hear because of the anger piling up inside me, the only thing I could hear was the sounding of my heartbeat.
"Nancy, get up and let them take your measurement," grandma said for the third time before I was able to snap out of the shade of darkness I was under. That had been the toughest several minutes of my life after spending time to select and have my measurement taken, I excuse myself and head back to my room.
Outside the hallway leading to my chamber stood Nico and Zenab. My heart raced when I saw them together, thinking I have gotten away from the pretentious princesses, well I feel sad for grandma she has to deal with them alone.
But seeing Zenab and Nicobolmo together made me feel worse than I was feeling before. "Zenab," I snarled as I reach where there were.
"What is going on here?" I glare at Nico, he is testing my patience.
"Nothing Nancy, just stay out of this," Zenab whispers pulling me back as I roll my eyes. The persistence of some of the tribe leaders is annoying, I'm wondering what hidden goals they have that we haven't known yet.
I don't understand how they will trust Nico over Zenab someone that grew up right under their noses.
"No Zenab," I pressed for him to tell me why he was arguing with him. He knows I wasn't going to stop demanding until I hear the whole truth he gave in letting out a sigh as I still fix my gaze on Nico.
"Uncle here without requesting from anyone transmits hundreds of deadly weapons to other nations that agree to start a war in the name of Zamuniland," Zenab pouts blushing his hair back with the hand.
Even with all this the leaders still support him, someone putting the people of Zamuniland in danger.
"I'm acquiring more lands for Zamuniland, the rest of the world needs to fear us, something you don't have the balls for, my dear nephew." He said poking his finger repeatedly on Zenab's chest.
Now I see what he is doing, trying to rule the world since he couldn't rule on the moon, what a dream he has. How wrong of him to think he can be the lord of humanity.
"You don't understand the people of Zamuniland come first, and with what you are doing, you are endangering the lives of our people." Zenab tries to make him understand trying not to raise his voice.
I let out a deep breath and hold Zenab's hand to take him forcefully from there, I never bothered to look back on Nico who was talking to himself, he has made up his mind to be a thorn in our lives, he acts as if he was untouchable, I just don't want to feel Zenab is a threat to him.
Zenab was boiling inside as I can understand his frustration. It all happened suddenly, just in the blink of an eye, everything turned horrendous.
"Zenab what is wrong?" I asked nervously as my eyes widened in shock as he holds his chest, and gradually falls to the ground as blood comes out from his nose, mouth, and eyes, he was groaning in pain.
I turned back to see Nico squeezing his hands and with a smirk on his face. "What are you doing to him!" "Stop!" I yelled as I hold Zenab in my arms.
Nico walks closer as he makes Zenab suffer the more. "I told you anyone that tries to get in my way will suffer the same end." He said as he looks down on us as his face held satisfaction.
I felt I moved out of my body and returned in seconds I hug Zenab tightly as I screamed out loud with lots of pain.
" Nicoblomo! go back to hell," There was a thunder sound as the whole place becomes dark and a strong mysterious wind blew around us, making Nico scream out loud as the wind and the dark cloud disappears it drags Nico along with him.
He fights to resist the force pulling him. After a few seconds, everything was back to normal, Zenab had stopped bleeding.
I cup his face in my palm as tears drop down from my eyes when I realized he was safe now.
"What happened," Zenab let out a moan.
Supporting his body up a bit for him to rest on my laps and brush the blood traces under his nose. He opens his eyes slowly and looks at me as he tries to wipe my tears with one hand.
"I'm fine now so stop crying," Zenab forces a weak smile.
Strangely enough not even a single guard was around the hallway.
"What happened here?" Grandma whimpers in shock when she saw us in that state.
