Baby spends the rest of the night swinging on trees for cover. He needed a break from wallowing in self-pity because he can't be with Nancy and have Alina to deal with.

Nancy joined Roland and Betty at the cafeteria.

"What book is that?" Betty asked looking at Roland who was busy flipping through the pages of an old book.

"Nothing". Roland replied sharply as he shut the book and dive it into his bag.

"Nancy! Nancy" Betty called waving her hands in front of her to get her attention.

"Jeez, what's on your mind, Nancy? You seem lost" said Betty.

"Sorry, what did you say again?" She asked in a daze.

"What am I missing? Did Baby visit you last night?" Roland asked.

"Yes he did but left right away" Nancy answered.

"Then?"

"Nothing don't worry it has nothing to do with Baby but I need your help with something after school" Nancy announced.

"What is this about? Nancy" Betty asked concerned.

"Don't worry, you will get to know when we get to my house" Nancy replied she picks her bag and leave for class.

"Betty do you know something that I don't?" Roland shrugs.

"Who me? When did she ever tell me things? I should be asking you" Betty whispered while picking her bag.

Roland was still confused, he quietly followed her. The thought of what was going on with Nancy swirled in his head the entire time, he couldn't wait to know what was going on.

"Roland could you demonstrate the process of osmosis using a living tissue?" the lecture asked looking at Roland's face.

He called him because he realized he was not paying attention. "We are waiting for you Roland" the teacher repeated. Among his favorite subjects, biology was not a part of it. Roland walks the board to do the demonstration.

"Huh, Method: two thick slices of yam A and B are obtained and their skins peeled off. A large cavity is drilled into the middle of each. A strong solution of salt is poured onto A.

Yam B is left without salt to serve as a control. They are both kept in a trough containing distilled water and allowed to stand for some hours.

Result: after some time, it is observed that the level in yam slice A, rises tremendously while no water rise is observed in B. water molecules moved from the rough yam slice A.

Therefore we can conclude that living tissues have a semi-permeable membrane that allows molecules to pass through from the surroundings if they have higher osmotic pressure.

Water could not move from yam slice B since it contained no salt or sugar solution. It is therefore of the same osmotic pressure with the water in the trough" Roland explained. The teacher was dumbfounded, he couldn't understand how Roland answered the question word to word from the textbook.

"Well, Roland that was impressive. You can have your seat now" he said.

Roland used his powers to read the entire process from the teacher's book which was far-off from him.

He suck in air reprieve when the bell rang.

"Finally" Roland mutter as everyone rushes out of the class. Betty and Nancy join Roland as they exit the class.

"That was impressive Roland, I would have been dumbfounded if he had asked me more so I wasn't even paying attention" Betty sniffed while opening her snack.

"Sshh" Roland scoffs he knew what he did.

"That's true I was also not paying attention the whole time" Nancy muttered.

"Will you tell me what is going on now?" Roland asked.

"Relax, you will soon find out," Nancy said.
