Alright mum I'm tired, I'm going to my room," Nancy said as she walks upstairs.
"Are you not going to eat anything?" her mum asked
"No mum, I'm OK" she said as she realized she left the books she picked from the library on the dinner table.
She walks back slowly to pick them up. Her mum would throw a fist if she was to see them.
Too bad her dad had already spotted them. "That's cool, is this for you?
Not bad honey. I love adventures like this," her dad compliment as he picks the books.
"Did you pick these books from the library?" her mum asked.
"Honey"
"No stop Travis don't encourage her, you didn't get to pick any other book from the library than that of werewolves and vampires huh Nancy?" her mum snapped getting all work up.
"Yes mum I did. Why are you so angry they are just myths?"
"Why would you pick such kinds of books?"
"Mum, it's just a book, why do you look so terrified by it? Do you believe vampires and werewolves exist?"
Nancy asked the only way to get her mum to drop the topic was to make her feel she already knows all about it.
"Cut the crap! Return those books tomorrow and don't read those terrible things," her mum instructed.
"Come on mum, they're not terrible, they are fascinating. It's quite amazing," Nancy explained.
"I don't want you reading these books any more. You should be concentrating on your books and not reading nonsense like this ones,"
"Mum don't worry I'll return them tomorrow so stop being all worked out. Dad, do you believe in werewolves and vampires?" Nancy asked her dad with keen interest.
"I just asked alright, fine I won't ask anymore since it terrifies you that much but I think it would be amazing if they really do exist. Can you imagine a human turning into a wolf, wow that will be great right dad?"
"Enough Nancy!"
"Alright fine I was just pulling your legs. I'm going to my room now," she said as she ran off.
"Will you stop trying to oppose her all the time? The more you try to forbid her of something the more she wants to do it. You should have known that by now," Travis whispers to his wife.
"I'm still her mother and I can't stop worrying about her mental health since she doesn't talk much to anyone," Cindy whispered back.
Nancy finished doing her homework. Her dad brought her dinner to her bedroom. He stayed with her for a while before leaving to do his work.
She was left alone, she doesn't have access to the internet. She only reads and listens to music when she is bored. She couldn't help it but ignore her mum's advice.
She became curious. All she wanted to do was know more about werewolves and vampires.
The more she read the more she was intrigued to find out more. She is curious if they really do exist.
Late at night the pains kept growing stronger that made her unable to sleep.
She went running in the woods not knowing what she was looking for but with the hope of finding something or someone.
"You again?" a voice said.
Now she was familiar with the voice and she wasn't scared. "Yes it's me again and it's you again?" she murmured.
"Why do you always come out so late at night?" Nancy asked.
"I should be asking you that same question, you are a girl and something bad could happen to you out here you know that?" Baby tried to scare her.
"What? What could possibly happen to me here? I was told it's the safest place in the world," she limped.
