Edwinson House, Capital.

"Stop, right there!!" The guard shouted as he noticed a figure slowly moving towards them.

The city was in a state of alert now. It was obvious to be more cautious.

"State your identity…" the other guard said as he glared at the silver haired man.

"I am here from the Walker House on the Lord's order." The guy said as he took out the crest from his pocket.

The guard looked at the crest carefully before confirming it was the real deal.

"Can I know why you are here or should I call the elder?" The guard asked respectfully. He couldn't just allow him in as they weren't informed of any such arrivals beforehand.

"The Young miss has been staying with Miss Janet for the night. With the city in chaos, I have been sent to guard the young lady…"

The guard who had been listening frowned at his words. It was basically saying that they weren't strong enough to protect her.

"I will contact the elder…." The guard said with a glare before disappearing.

When he returned, he just allowed the guy to pass.

Mr. Cool quickly made his way towards the place Max had described and soon, he was in front of the manor.

He walked towards the gate and gave him the token with the crest, "I am here carrying an urgent message for the young miss…."

….

"Hasn't it been too long?" Janet said with a worried tone.

"It will be fine…don't worry.." Lisa assured her. But she herself wasn't any less anxious than her. She had tried to contact everyone but couldn't get through any of them…

Elly was sitting with her hands around her knees. Her hands were tightly clenched into a fist.

She was worried but couldn't do anything at all. Contacting her family was an option but Max'a grandfather had asked her not to do so.

They didn't know what kind of things they had got themselves involved into. It was better if it was solved on a personal level.

Elly knew what he meant and could only nod in understanding.

Twice was also in the room, lying lazily on the ground. He seemed to be the calmest of them all. But suddenly, Twice's ears perked up and with a leap, it disappeared into Lisa's shadow startling everyone.

The next instant, there was a knock on the door.

"You guys are still up this late?"

It was Vitni, Janet's mom.

No one spoke for a minute….

"I can see the lights beneath the door...now open the door…"

Everyone looked at each other.

"Let's just say she is in the washroom…." Lisa said before urging Janet to open the door.

Janet nodded and Elly got up as well. She couldn't just act like that and cause trouble for Janet's mother.

"Mom...why are you here so late?" Janet asked after opening the door.

"I was worried and just came here to check. Your father just had to go out. There seems to be some kind of trouble…." Vitni said before looking into the room. "Where is Aria?"

"She is in the washroom…" Janet replied.

"Ok...and why are you girls up so late…it's not good for your skin…." Vitni said in a stern tone.

When she finally left after saying good night, everyone turned to look at each other. The worries on their faces had seemed to multiply.

"Knock!"

"Knock!"

But before they could do anything, Another knock came.

Janet opened the door once again to see the maid on night duty standing at the door.

"Is everything all right?" Janet asked.

"Miss….there is a person from Walker House asking for Miss Lisa. He says he has an urgent message to deliver…." The maid said before passing the token to her.

Janet took the token to Lisa and the next instant, Lisa's eyes widened.

"Bring him here…..right now…" Lisa asked as she walked up to the maid.

"I am here already…" When the voice rang, people finally noticed that a person was already standing in the middle of the room.

The person looked at Lisa, "It's fine now…"

With those words he collapsed. He had already gone way past his limit. It wasn't because of injuries but more of exhaustion.

….

On the other side....

Max had just entered the spirit world and he was sent directly towards the place which seemed to be a place for prisoners.

'He must be doing his own things…' Max thought as he looked around and found two freshmen.

Werner was lying a few meters ahead and towards his side was another fellow who was dressed like the bunch who had attacked earlier.

'Andriel can you help me get both the memories and life force…'

'You are being too greedy. I don't have a direct connection with you. So it won't work consciously….how about forming a contract…' Andriel replied with a seductive voice.

'Stop talking like that…' Max said as he approached the two people.

He allowed Andriel to suck the other guy's life force to try and heal himself as much as she could.

But it wasn't enough to completely heal him. And it seemed it wasn't an instant heal as well. Max could feel the life force in his body drastically increase which boosted his regeneration ability.

But when it was the turn for Werner, a problem cropped up.

'He has a formation set up on his memories….it's not going to work….if I try like this, it might turn him into a retard...'

'I thought you were a Succubus, shouldn't it be easy for you…' Max asked with a wry smile.

'Yes it would be very easy for me if I had a medium in this world. Unfortunately, someone doesn't want to form a bond with me…'

Max shut his mouth up knowing where it was headed to. But at this moment, he suddenly felt two waves of familiar aura clash.

'You kidding me?'

Max looked in the direction.

He then called out his spirit snake to drag Werner along while he unfurled his wings and flew towards the place of the clash.

It didn't take him long to spot the two idiots….

"Tsk.." Max clicked his tongue and immediately shot down seeing that they were about to clash again.

"Boom!"

….

And that had led to the current situation…..

Bahamut immediately pulled his club away and Wilson pulled his leg too.

"That freaking hurts…." Max muttered before glaring at the two.

"What in hell do you think you were doing?!!"

And finally his anger erupted.

"What would you have done if we needed you two outside? You really didn't find any other time to fight!!!!"

Obviously they couldn't retort. Max was right after all…

Suddenly Max felt sweetness rise up against his throat. Wilson's kick had done him more than he had asked for.

"Splash!"

"You fine?" Wilson asked a bit awkwardly.

"Do I look like I am?" Max said as he sat down on the ground.

"M-Max?"

Max raised his head with a frown hearing the familiar voice. His eyes met with Aria and she finally confirmed it was Max indeed.

"W-What happened to you?" Her voice was a bit shaky seeing the gruesome state Max was in. But she still walked up to him.

She was clearly confused on what to say to him. She didn't remember to be ever on the side worrying for others. She could now understand a bit what her mother may have felt due to her antics..

Max looked at her and spoke in a stern voice, "What do you think were you going to achieve there?"

Aria was a bit startled at his words before realizing what he meant.

"I-I…" She couldn't say that she had been prepared for the worst at least not after almost crying in face of death.

"Learn to know your limits. You have people who care for you. Are you really that eager to die?"

Bahamut and Wilson gave Max a look, he was the last person who they had be willing hearing such sh*t from.

"Sniff! Sniff!

"Don't cry now…." Max felt a headache when she started to cry. He thought of patting her shoulder. But his hands were covered in blood…..it would not be a good combination with her white dress.

'Seriously? Console her. What kind of man are you making a girl cry? Take responsibility….' Andirel's voice rang out in his mind.

'I really can't understand you, Andriel….' Max replied with a sigh. Just what was going through her head.

"Why didn't you ask for anyone's help?" Max ignored Andriel and looked at Aria.

"No…one...believed me…." Aria raised her face. Tears still sliding down her cheek.

"Hmmn….who is making my sister cry?"

Everyone turned their heads to look at the person who had just arrived.

The silver haired guy looked at Max. His expression was clearly an ugly one due to Max's gruesome sight. Obviously he wouldn't be angry at Max even of he did as something to Aria.

But Aria didn't know their relationship and took it as something else. She thought he was angry.

"No, brother...he didn't do anything…" Aria immediately came in front of Max trying to protect him from her brother while trying to explain it to him.

She knew what kind of person her brother was…

Mr. Cool on the other hand was intrigued by his sister's behavior and a smiled formed on his face.

"Get out of my way…" He said as he walked up to her.

"Brother!" Aria protested.

"I won't stand anyone making my sister cry…." Mr. Cool said as he looked at Max.

'Hmmm...he was a sis-con?' Max thought inwardly.

"He is not a bad person brother….you must have some kind of misunderstanding…" Aria tried her best.

If she had been in her right mind, she would have realised something by now. But she was clearly shaken by Max's gruesome sight and words to realise anything.

"How can you be so sure?" Mr. Cool asked as he looked at her, expecting something interesting but Aria's next words blew him away.

"I lived with him, I know he isn't a bad person!"

Max groaned at her words as he felt everyone's gaze being directed at him.
