"Isn't this unfair? Three against two?" Alen asked as he looked at them. He really had the balls to say such things with a straight while hatching an evil plot.

"Why don't you stop letting out your poison first?" Ren said as he raised his sword and a wind avatar formed behind him.

The next instant, he thrusted his sword and a gust of high-speed wind shot out, blowing away everything in its path.

Alen hastily moved and managed to dodge the attack in time but his poison which he had scattered around was all gone.

"I will handle him…" Ren said as he took a step forward. Even though he was a bit weaker than Alen in terms of Tier, his sword skills were enough to fill the gap.

"So, which one of you is fighting me? I don't mind taking you two at the same time..." Kain said as he looked at the two.

"Can you handle him? I want to go ahead and stop them from whatever they are planning to do..." Faryl said as he looked at Max

"Sure…" Max nodded. He could tell that the guy was strong, but he wouldn't be able to hold on if Kain became serious.

"You are not going anywhere…" Kain spoke as he saw Faryl move and immediately attacked, but Max moved as well and flames shot up from his body forming the figure of a Phoenix as Max's flaming fist landed on the destructive energy.

"Boom!"

The explosion made Max take a step back and he was surprised once again, it was stronger than he thought it to be.

Kain's eyes started to flicker with a strange light. Faryl was gone but he didn't have plans to chase after him because he suddenly began to feel a threat from Max.

Just now, he had clearly used enough strength to make Faryl retreat but Max had taken it head on and only ended up taking a step back.

«I am leaving Nathan to you…» Max didn't like depending on people whom he didn't know. So, he messaged Wilson who was closing in on the place as well.

«Wilson: Well, I was supposed to deal with him from the very start…»

Max then shifted his gaze towards Kain before moving.

Kain's eyes constricted and he immediately exploded out with his energy not daring to hold back in the least.

"Bang!"

Max struck hard, his fist sunk in Kain's muscle as the guy raised his arm to guard.

"Flare!"

Flames suddenly burst forth from Max's first once again and he sent Kain flying through the debris of the building.

Alen and Ren paused for a second as they looked at Max clearly not expecting him to be so strong. The two had no idea that the Kain who was blown away was much stronger than them which made Max even stronger than they could think…

"Boom!"

Kain shot out from the debris with destructive energy exploding outwards. He seems to have activated his true spell as a translucent halo formed behind him which was filled with an intense destructive energy.

"I wasn't expecting you to be so strong. I wonder which one of us is the stronger one here…" Kain said as he looked at Max.

'It's me…' Max muttered inwardly but he honestly had no intention to show his strength right now.

There were several reasons but from the competition's context, he didn't want to force people into the corner. After all, he couldn't appear too terrifying. This was still the first competition, if he pushed them into the corner there was a chance they might come together to fight….

And then, they had already pissed a few Academies but the only thing that prevented them from truly coming together was their thought that they were capable enough of taking revenge on their own. If they knew it was false hope, they would definitely look for other ways like alliance..

Even if Max somehow could manage to survive in that situation, he wasn't sure if others could.

And it wasn't like he had to be a one man army here. He had people who were capable of handling things. Besides, being a one man army would do him bad instead of good as he wanted to put his team members out in the front.

Hence, he only needed to hold him here and let others do the work.

Wilson was on his way and Max could also feel several other presence heading towards them.

It didn't seem like he had to do much. Let's just hope the Horde Commander would not enter a frenzy state if not, Max didn't think he would be able to sit back calmly anymore...

Wilson wasn't much far away from Max and took another route to avoid getting into his fight and headed straight towards the place where the Horde Commander's nest was.

As soon as he arrived near the place, he heard clashes and the next instant, he saw several people from Orca surrounding a guy.

It was Faryl Zen. He hadn't expected Orca to actually deploy so many people. It was as if they were a suicide squad.

It was because they would be the first one to face the enraged beast at such a close range.

Wilson only gave him a glance but didn't stop to help him. He took the advantage of the opportunity and flashed past them at lightning speed.

"Shoot! Someone passed!"

"Hurry up and stop him!!"

Two guys immediately separated from the group and sped up after Wilson. Both of their auras were strong and they were at Advance Tier.

Wilson didn't pay attention to them, but suddenly a rapier came pierced toward him from the side as he moved through a narrow path.

Even though taken by surprise, Wilson immediately bent backward and tucked in his knees and did a knee slide, barely avoiding a hole in his head.

But, the person didn't seem to plan on giving him any rest.

"Overlord's thrust!"  A sweet feminine voice rang out as a giant crystalized sword from the sky came crashing down on Wilson.

"Boom!"

This attacker was very familiar to everyone, it was Aria.

She looked at the half-sunken sword in the ground nervously when the two people behind caught up.

"Good job handling him…" One of the guys said with a smile and praised her. Whether it was genuine or just an attempt to earn some points only he knew about it. But Aria's reply to him was a simple nod.

At this moment, a purple current ran across the crystalized sword and the next instant shattered falling into pieces.

Wilson walked out of the trench and cracked his neck before wiping the blood from the small cut on his forehead.

Wilson looked at Aria, he was a bit familiar with her having seen her before. "Forfeit while I am being nice, there won't be a second chance…"

It was very unlike Wilson, but since she was an acquaintance he gave her a chance.

But Aria only raised her rapier and crystals conjured around her in mid air.

"Good! If you don't even dare to fight then you didn't even deserve to be tested that day…" Wilson said with a smile as lightning began to conjure around him.
