Competition Ground, Capital.
Lear and Arnold stood there in the middle of the chaos as spells rained around and sounds of human screams and beastly roars filled the place.
The two stared at each other as a deathly silence pervaded between them.
"Clang!"
Suddenly, a metallic noise rang out as Lear pulled his sword with multiple flexible blades out.
With a single swing from his hand, the blades of the sword lashed out towards Arnold like a snake and chased after him.
"Whoosh!"
Arnold smiled as he immediately slammed both his hands down on the ground and a wall of magma rose from the beneath up into the sky.
"Tsk!" Lear clicked his tongue and the blade immediately changed courses.
"You are not going anywhere." Arnold laughed and the next instant, the wall of lava rose further up high in the air becoming a tide and came crashing down on Lear.
"Boom!"
The ground shook from the impact of the crash and Arnold smiled at the sight of everything being covered in lava.
There was no sight of Lear around. It seemed he had been buried underneath it or was already eliminated.
"Swish!"
Arnold's expression changed and he immediately leaned towards the side as a red heated blade emerged from beneath the red hot ground covered in lava and tore through the side of his face splashing blood around.
A second late, he would have his head at the tip of the blade.
The guy's face turned dark and he looked toward the place where the lava seem to have bulged out for some reason. Even though it seem impossible, you couldn't tell it after that attack.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, mana exploded and lava splashed all around revealing a figure with a shield in his hands. The shield seemed to have a high quality formation embedded in it which was partially lit up forming a dome around Lear.
"You seem pretty confident, I guess I would be disappointing you today," Lear said with a smile as the dome disappeared and he kept shield on his back while slowly walking toward Arnold who held his palm over the cut on his face.
The first to bleed was Arnold and it had shown that Lear was the one in a dominant position.
"You are too cocky after getting a good weapon, Lear." Arnold shook his head but the jealousy and anger in his eyes was visible. He had not considered Lear as an opponent until now but now suddenly this guy jumped out of nowhere. And why did he have such high quality weapons? It was clear that there parents were showing difference in treatment here.
'They are a bunch of hypocrites after all,' He sneered inwardly before a smile leaked out on his fact remembering that one of those hypocrites would be dying soon.
Lear frowned seeing that smile on his face. It really made him have a bad feeling about it. After all, what good could come when your enemy was smiling?
Arnold suddenly raised his hand and magma shot out of them like a jet heading straight towards Lear.
"Whoosh!"
Lear had no choice but to move. Arnold's ability were indeed strong and annoying. He had to constantly dodge if he didn't want to get burned by it.
"Swish!"
Lear's hand suddenly moved as well and he grabbed a nearby concrete slab and slammed it in front of him to act as a shield. The reason he didn't want to use his own shield was because it consumed too much energy to activate the formation on it and if he were use it normally, he probably wouldn't be able to cover his entire body with it.

"Go!" He shouted and the the next instant, the blades of his other sword hanging on his waist rushed out like homing missiles and curved around the concretes end before heading straight towards Arnold.
Arnold immediately separated one of his hands and the lava on it solidified to become black colored rocks and with his left hand transformed into a giant monster like one, he easily deflected on the coming blades with it.
"Clang!"
Lear couldn't help but frown after realizing that the concrete slab in front of him was cracking from the impact and wouldn't hold long before shattering by the onslaught of Arnold's attack.
"You won't be able to hide long, Lear!" Arnold said with a laugh as he lifted his leg and stomped it on the ground.
"Rumble!"
Lear suddenly felt the ground shaking and the next instant, he realized that a crack had appeared in between his feet. As he was thinking what was going on, he suddenly felt a heat rushing towards him.
"Whoosh!"
The red molten liquid splashed out of the ground like a fountain and the place was soon covered by it all around.
Arnold looked towards the place but didn't find Lear. But before he could celebrate his victory, he heard a sound of a sharp object tearing through the air and he immediately moved.
"Bang!"
Lear crashed into the ground from above as his blade ran down across Arnold's chest but the only unfortunate think was that it wasn't deep enough to end the fight. The guy had moved on the right time barely avoiding his elimination.
'Tsk! When did he got so strong?' Arnold looked at Lear with a grim look on his face. He never thought that Lear had become so strong. As for the fight with Arthur the other day, he didn't pay it any attention thinking that Arthur hadn't taken it seriously letting Lear win.
'Only if I could have remove my limiters and activate the demon heart..' Even though he wanted to do it, Arnold wouldn't dare to.
He was actually confident in fighting off Arthur and even had made plans to achieve an easy victory on him but this had led him to neglect Lear and now he seemed to be paying for it.
Lear hand's suddenly morphed into that of a metallic one as he activated his true spell partially and all the metal object came flying towards him. The next instant, a he clenched his metallic fist and then took a step back before throwing it ahead.
"Bang!"
The punch landed right on Arnold's abdomen and blood spewed out of his mouth.
"Yaahhhh!!" Lear roared and with all his strength send the guy flying away soaring through the air while breaking sound barriers.
"Boom!"
Arnold crashed into the distance and even more blood gushed out of his mouth as he slowly raised his head to look at Lear walking towards him.
"It seems you have lost, dear brother." Lear said with a snort as he grabbed his head and raised it up before pulling his metallic arm behind planning to smash his face.
It was one extreme thing to do among brothers but it was also a way to show that they hadn't hold back just because they were brothers as well. People could do debate about it forever and there would be no results about it.
"Why don't you forfeit? You are my brother after all, I don't want to kill you if possible.." Lear said with a concerned look but his word choice n didn't escape Arnold's ear. He had used 'Kill' instead of 'Eliminate'. People would say that it was in the heat of the moment but was it really?
Of course, Arnold wasn't going to give in as that would be the end for him. His fist suddenly burst forth with a radiating heat as molten liquid poured out of it but Lear was prepared beforehand this time.
"I gave you a chance," He said as his metallic fist suddenly smashed towards Arnold face and he was definitely the faster one here.
But suddenly, Arnold's lips moved and he spoke, "I wonder how mom is doing."
Those word's indeed caused a slight change in the situation, Lear couldn't help but react to those words and his face immediately turned dark as his body slowed down for a second.
"Bang!"
