"What in hell happened to you?" Lear asked Eren as he walked out of his room.
He was all dressed up for the party. It wasn't something fancy, but more than enough to make him look like a gentleman. Formal clothes really suited him after all.
"Didn't I say that it was an accident? I heroically saved a child on the street and took a hit from the car breaking my ribs." Eren looked at Lear with a proud look on his face. If he was going to lie, it was better to make it something that he could be proud of.
"Yeah, like in hell am I believing that."
Lear wasn't a fool, there was no way that it had happened in an accident. He didn't think that Eren would have broken two of his ribs if he was hit by a car. That injury looked to have been caused by the impact of something much smaller than a car.
But since the guy refused to admit, there was nothing Lear could do.
"What in hell are you guys talking about?" Axle came out from his room all dressed up as well.
Eren looked at Axel, and his expression changed a bit.
"Why the hell have you been giving me that look? Do I look like some cute Loli to you?" Axel frowned. He really had enough of it. This guy had been doing that since yesterday.
"What's a Loli?" Eren looked at Axel in confusion.
"Justice! Something that must be protected!"
Lear shook his head looking at the two as he went in front of the mirror to set his hair.
"Didn't he start preparing like an hour ago? He is still not done?" Eren asked with a frown.
"This is what happens to people, who fall for 3D stuff." Axel snorted with a disdainful look on his face.
"Hmmn? What about that girlfriend of yours then?" Eren asked with a laugh, and Axel's face immediately turned dark.
"Don't mention that girl. It was as if her brother was not enough of a misfortune that she had to come and join in as well." Axel shook his head as his face switched between anger and depression.
"Speaking about Wilson, where is he?" Lear asked, still standing in front of the mirror.
"He is in his room. He said he will come when he is hungry," Eren said with a helpless look on his face. It was clear that he wasn't interested in the party.
"August is not here as well." Eren further added.
"Yeah, the guy has been out most of the time. He has relatives around here it seems. So, he wouldn't be coming." Axel sighed.
The rest of the people had already gone ahead. To be honest, these people were all enjoying their time as if the on on a tour.
Well, they weren't wrong in being carefree. Only three people were needed for the next competition, which had already been decided. So, there was not much for them to do.
"Let's go," Lear said with a smile as was finally done.
…
Lorenz Residence, Trinity.
"How does it look?" Rias asked with a smile, as she came out wearing the dress that she had brought the previous day. It was a sleeveless dress which came down to her knees, and she had paired it up with a shrug above that.
"Yeah, it looks good." Lisa smiled at her as she walked in from the other room. She looked gorgeous as well and seemed to have chosen something much easier to move in.
"Everyone is here?" Elly came up from downstairs while wearing a high neck skater dress. She was looking great, and even Rias had her mouth hanging down for a second.
"Max is really lucky…" She said with a teasing smile, and further asked, "How far have you guys gone?"
Elly froze for a second, but quickly recovered from it.
Lisa looked at Elly. She didn't know what to say. With Max being like that and Elly herself being no different than him in terms of physical contact. There was probably nothing that had happened between them
As the two waited for her to reply, Elly just turned around to walk down the stairs. She didn't pay any interest in the conversation. "Come fast, the rest of the people are waiting below."
The two of them could only helplessly smile as they went down after her.
….
Roxley House, Trinity.
"You sure are not coming?" Melinda asked as she looked at Max, but he just shook his head.
"Stay around in the house. It might be dangerous outside." Roman warned Max before the two of them left the place.
"They sure are nice people…" Max muttered to himself. Even though there was a relationship between them that had formed from mutual benefits. They treated him genuinely with care. This was enough for Max to tell that they were nice people.
"Well, then it's time I guess...:"
….
Somewhere in Trinity…
"Are you ready for it?"
"I had been waiting for it for so long. Of course, I am ready." Arnold smiled as he looked at the person in front of him.
This person was the one who had given him everything, and let him achieve the position that he was currently in.
Yes, it was James Ovens.
The guy was finally in Trinity.
"Good, I will be waiting for the good news then," James smiled, and waved for Arnold to leave.
He then picked up the glass of wine, and stared at it, "How about you joining me for a drink?"
His voice rang out in the empty room.
"..."
"Too bad I guess. It seems you are not someone who appreciates good wine." He further said in pity.
"Only a fool will drink with an evil man like you," A familiar voice rang in the room, and the next instant, Naze's figure appeared in front of him.
"Well, if you are not here to join me for a drink, then what are you here for?" James asked with a smile.
"Well, I just wanted to see if I had lost my patience or not. But, seeing that I didn't slice your head off. I must have not lost it yet." Naze smiled with an honest look on his face as he leisurely took a seat in front.
