Max looked at the girl with wide eyes. He couldn't believe himself. The energy coming out of her had changed once again. It had certainly become something he was very familiar with.
It was Spirit Energy.
This had to be a joke.
"What's going on? Who are you?" Max asked her with a frown.
"I am the same person," Beli slowly spoke as she took out the hair pin from her hair, and a frown appeared on Max's face.
It was indeed an Artifact.
"We can continue this discussion if you sit down." Beli looked at Max, and he sat back onto his seat. He couldn't possibly leave after seeing that.
"Why do you have the Artifact? I thought the Spirits agreed to support only Humans?" Max questioned her.
"I don't know what you are talking about." She shook her head. She didn't seem to have any idea about the upper dimension. "But, if it is about being human to use it, then I might have some answer for you."
"My mother was a human.."
Max's eyes immediately widened. But, the next instant, he frowned, "Are you trying to fool me? Humans and Demons can't reproduce."
"That is only for the common populace. It's different when it comes to people like us who use a higher form of energy."
"And, the Royal blood allows us to use a higher form of energy."
"But, there obviously is a problem. The fertility rate is terribly low among humans and demons. Within the last four generations, I am the only child with traits from both sides."
"Obviously, my Demon side is more dominant since my father was very strong in comparison to my mother." She further added.
"You better not be lying?" Max observed her expression.
"We can try if you don't believe.." Beli calmly looked at him.
But, her words immediately froze everyone in the room.
"Oh my god!! Have you finally lost control over your desires, Princess?" Naze asked in shock.
"Huh?" Beli looked at him, and only then did she realize that they had misunderstood her.
"No!! I didn't mean that!!" Her face immediately turned dark as she shouted in anger, and glared at that fellow.
She then calmed herself down, and looked at Max who was giving her an odd look, "I mean, I can arrange someone from my Tribe if you want to give it a try."
"Well, you come in your tribe as well. So, are you available for him as well? Don't tell me you are deliberately offering yourself as well?" Naze asked with a laugh, and Beli's face immediately turned ugly.
"One more word, and I will slice your head off." Beli looked at Naze as a terrifying killing intent began to leak out of her, and he immediately shut his mouth up.
"Uhmn…I am not lying about it basically." She looked at Max,
Max being a smart guy went along with her act as if nothing had happened.
"So, if I am not wrong, your mother is someone from the Von family?" He calmly asked her, and a frown appeared on Beli's face.
Naze came from the Von family on the mission. These people were all very knowledgeable about the events happening around the Ancient Family. And, the Von family was the only one who wanted peace with Demons.
It was slowly becoming very obvious to him now.
Beli didn't answer, but at this point, Max didn't need her to.
"Anyway, I will believe you for now that you are half or a bit of human.."
Max had a reason to do so. If he remembers correctly, Ifrit, who worked in the Lorenz Mansion in Capital, too gave him a similar feeling like Beli. So, for some reason, he felt that she may not be wrong.
"This might be the reason, I have been able to connect with this thing," Beli said with the hair pin in her hand.
"I don't know what you guys call it. But, according to legend among us, these are the five keys that seal Vaccaria."
"It is similar to the legend passed down among the Ancient Families. The five chosen ones will defeat Vaccaria."
"So, we people had been asked to find all the keys."
"It is said that the Ancient Families hold the Five keys, but we think it's a bluff. They must have lost it, if not, it doesn't make sense that we have three of these with us."
Max's eyes immediately went wide. This was some crucial information there.
He couldn't help, but look at the girl with a frown. He knew that this girl was deliberately giving out information to build trust. And, Max couldn't deny that.
There was one more thing that Max felt clear about, it seemed that even the Demons didn't seem to be aware of the fact that there were 12 Artifacts.
Now, he wondered what this was all about.
"What do you think now? I am one of the key aspects in your fight against Vaccaria. Are you sure you don't want my help?" She asked, looking at Max.
"Well, I have heard you." Max got up from his seat.
"But, I don't think the decision can be made so hastily. Let's stay in contact for now." With that, Max left.
"Why didn't you use your trump card?" Naze asked her with a smile.
"Well, I want it to be peaceful. And, I want a relationship of trust, not a compromise of grudges." Beli shook her head, "But, if push comes to shove, I will use every method in my arsenal to force him down on his knees and surrender."
"You really can be scary, Princess," Naze replied as he shook his head, "You won't find a boyfriend like this. Not to mention, even the last one cheated on you."
"Hmph! It was your brother, I didn't expect anything from him even if it was an act." She sneered at him.
"You are hurting my feelings again.." Naze clenched his chest in pain.
But, she just ignored him and walked out of the house.
