With a thunderous noise, the hammer crashed onto the top of Golemn's head, and the recoil from the impact sent a jolt through Tia's body and she immediately lost the grip on her hammer as her face twitched in pain.
"Aahh…" A painful squeak escaped her mouth. She had no idea that this had put his entire mana into strengthening the golem after it went down on its knees.
Tia almost felt like her shoulders had dislocated after that attack.
"Crack!"
But, it seemed that Arthur had underestimated the brute force of the girl too.
Cracks began to slowly spread from the point of impact, and the next instant, the head of the golem busted, sending sand flying around everywhere.
This immediately triggered some kind of chain reaction, and the whole body of the golem seemed to become unsteady as the sand began to loose from different parts and slowly slip away.
"Whoosh!"
But, Arthur immediately tried to take things back under his control as his mana erupted, forcefully stabilizing the giant structure and holding the sand around its body.
"Don't let go of this chance!!! Attack!!" Faryl shouted from behind as sweat slid down his face. He had been holding the ground too, fighting against Arthur for its control. And, it didn't look like he would be able to continue it much longer in front of Arthur who seemed to have an almost endless supply of mana in his current form.
His words were like thunder, and as soon as it entered everyone's ear, they reacted as fast as they could.
Within a second, the golem was practically attacked nonstop for a whole 5 minutes. It's body was barraged by a rain of attacks from Melan and August who had a lot in their arsenal when it came to long range attacks.
Tia on the other hand, didn't have much to contribute here. Not to mention, she was outbreath and seemed to have reached her limit.
"Damn! This is never ending…you guys handle this for me...I need some rest.." She calmly got out, and went in the corner to have a seat.
Her actions really left people speechless. But, it now made sense, why she was Mr. Cool's girlfriend. The two weirdos definitely were a match for each other.
"Bang!"
"Crackle!"
"Boom!"
On the other side, the golem was totally engulfed in smoke and dust after a continuous barrage of attacks.
"Is it over…." Melan asked while panting when he failed to detect any more movement from the smoke.
August on the other hand was still looking at the smoke with a concerned look on his face. He was truly being serious right now, and there was only one more move left in his arsenal which he himself didn't want to use at any cost.
So, you could say that he already had done his best, and with his initial estimation, it should have been enough. But, he was having a bad feeling about it, 'Do I really have to go all out?'
"Careful!" August screamed at Melan as he suddenly noticed a movement in the dust, and Melan being lightning quick immediately reacted.
But, a surprise was waiting for them.
A giant arm indeed had moved from the smoke, but at the same time, Arthur had appeared behind Melan as well. He actually had abandoned the golem for a sneak attack.
And, it worked. Melan definitely wasn't prepared for it. He had his entire attention towards the golem which was definitely the biggest threat, and in that situation, he failed to notice Arthur who had emerged from the sand beneath.
"Damn it!' Melan cursed as his body flew from the impact on his back. And, before he could do anything, he realized that the golem's fist was heading straight towards the direction where he was flying to.
Arthur had calculated it.
Even though controlling the Golem from outside would cut its strength and speed in half, in Melan's current situation, it was more than enough to send him packing.
"Boom!"
The fist landed, and a white light immediately emerged underneath it taking Melan out.
August's face was looking worse by now, and he immediately dashed towards the golem. His aim was to cease the core within it before Arthur could return back into it.
With a single leap, his body flew into the air, and flames immediately burst forth from his right arm.
"Origin fist!"
The flames immediately expanded, forming a huge fist of flames almost equal to the size of the golem, and the next instant he struck with all his might. Earlier, it might not have worked, but now with golem in weakened state, things were different.
"Bang!"
The fist exploded into the Golem's chest blasting a huge hole through it, and revealing the core hidden within it.
"Finally!" August's eye lit up on the success and he immediately grabbed the core, as the golem turned back into small grains of sand.
"It's over.." August felt relieved, but at this moment, he suddenly caught a flash of light from the corner of his eyes and on turning his head, he saw Arthur standing at the place where Tia earlier was.
"Y-You!!" It was only now that August realized it. Arthur never planned on saving the Golem, he was instead targeting Tia. But, was this trade worth it? It wasn't in August's eyes, and hence it didn't make any sense to him.
Farly was similarly confused as well.
"Crack!"
The sound of cracking horrified August as he slowly lowered his eyes onto the elemental core.
"Are you crazy!!" He shouted at Arthur in anger before letting go off the core, and backing off.
"Whoosh!"
As soon as he did that, the cracks expanded, and the mana in the surrounding suddenly plunged into chaos.
All three of them immediately came down onto their knees as they felt a pressure on their shoulders. It was the raw power of the beast which had the potential to reach the level of Supremes.
It was obvious they couldn't take it.
"It's going to explode!!" Faryl shouted with a helpless look on his face.
Without a medium to channel the energy and peacefully let it out, that thing would definitely explode. After all, it was no longer in the sealed within the core in its natural state.
"You idiot! How does this suicide attack help you?!!" August really wanted to rip this guy apart right now. After all he had done to assure his victory over Anrold, this guy came and performed a suicide attack.
