"In that case, did I really fight to kill my own nephew?" The bulky man spoke with wide eyes, and his hands shaking.
'Well, you kind of did..' Max muttered inwardly, but looking at the guy's face he didn't speak it out loud. After all, he had no interest in watching a grown man cry in front of him. And, it sure looked like that he was about to.
"It's not time to be blaming yourself. It was inevitable. We will discuss all of this matter in detail after we find Achilles.." The Old Viking Chief spoke up.
"Yes, we need to find them fast.." The Bulky man immediately got himself together. He knew that his nephew's condition was definitely serious after the last fight. Wasting a single second was too much.
"You go back to the base first, and ask everyone to move out in search of them in groups of three…" The Old Chief spoke as he looked at the Bulky man. The guy on the other hand frowned a little, but understanding the situation, he nodded and then immediately moved back towards the base at full speed.
"Whoosh!"
'That was fast..' Max muttered inwardly while looking at the man disappear before his eyes, 'No wonder they had it so rough..'
The Old Chief on the other side frowned as he looked around in all directions. He was trying his best to find some kind of track that would lead him to his son. After all, his natural senses were far from enough to locate Blinken and others.
"There…that direction.."
Max's voice suddenly entered the Old Chief's ear, and he looked at Max to see him pointing in a certain distance.
"Are you sure?" The Old Chief couldn't help but ask in a little surprise. He had no idea how Max had located them.
"Very sure, if you refuse, I will move there myself.." Max replied with a calm look on his face. He knew were the Twice and the other two his beast were.
"I shall believe you then.." The Old Chief grabbed Max's shoulder and with a leap, the two immediately headed in that direction.
…
"This place sure is weird.." Blinken muttered as he sat outside the cave on a patch of grass while looking around with interest.
He had only rested for a while, and his body was already showing signs of recovery. For some reason, his recovery speed here was greater than that in the outer world.
'But, why do I feel a little uncomfortable with this..'
To be honest, it should be something to be happy about. But, he really wasn't. This weird phenomenon was somehow making him uncomfortable, and he had a strange sense of foreboding.
His natural instincts seem to be warning that something was not right.
Of course, Blinken had no idea about the danger at hand. This place was not the kind to help him in the first place. Instead, it was slowly sucking his life force away.
The reason for which his injuries were healing faster was all because the life force in his body was reacting to the strange situation, and instead of getting eaten by the strange force, it seemed to be more keen towards getting used in healing the body to provide the body a better fighting chance of survival.
It was the same as people bursting out with power in times of need, but damaging themselves in return.
The same phenomenon seemed to be occurring here but at a more conscious level due to the strange force which was acting upon the life force of living organisms here.
"Hmmn.." Blinken suddenly noticed that the Shadow Leopards who had been quietly laying down all alone suddenly seemed to raise their ears which was followed by their head as they stared into the distance.
Their actions made Blinken frown. And, he too immediately turned his head towards that direction trying to see if he could sense anything.
"Gr!"
The ground suddenly shook a little and it seemed to be accompanied by a hum one could hear if paid attention too.
'What is that?'
Blinken slowly got up onto his feet as he barely managed to sense something in the extreme distance. It was really far away from them, but with his ability to manipulate the wind, he could really feel things at long distances.
But, for some reason he couldn't make out what this thing was. If it wasn't for it moving, then he would have really considered it to be some kind of mountain.
"Whoosh!"
A light breeze of wind suddenly swooped down towards Blinken's feet and lifted him up into the sky.
'Let me have a look..' Blinken thought inwardly as he pushed himself above into the sky.
But as he flew out of the forest cover, his pupils dilated as the thing which appeared in the distance, seemed to come out straight from the myths.
'You kidding me?' Blinken muttered as drops of sweat rolled down his forehead.
There in the distance, stood a huge figure on its four legs slowly moving towards the west.
The four legged figure was carrying a mountain on its back, which seemed to be its shell while its three heads peeked out of it and continued to chew onto the chunk of forest and land around which it passed as if it was some kind of snack for it.
This creature was actually a Giant Turtle.
"Don't tell me we gotta fight that thing.."Blinken muttered with a dark look on his face. He didn't know if his doubts would come true or not. 22:58
But, that thing appearing here doesn't seem to be a mere coincidence. Not to mention, that was probably the first beast he would have seen after coming into the center region of this place if he excluded the Shadow Leopards which belonged to Max.
"Hmmn.." Blinken suddenly frowned once again when he noticed something approaching him fast from behind. By the time he managed to react, it was too late.
Something suddenly seemed to grab the back of his head, and the next second, a deep voice entered his ears as they came descending…
no..more like crashing towards the ground.
"You got a death wish! Trying to attract its attention.."
