Day 102,
The first thing I did upon arriving in the archive this morning was deposit my original journal in the drawer in the hidden archive room next to that old yellowed notebook.
Saw some dark clouds out this morning for the first time in a while. No actual rain yet though.
After the talk with Pat yesterday I wonder if I should try hiding the documents from Priscilla’s. What’s the better place to keep them? The hidden archive room or my house? They’re split between the two at the moment. Or maybe I should find someplace else altogether. But where that I can still get to and reference?
My first thought was to send them home with Cass. Her apprenticeship could work as a plausible explanation for why if her family asks questions. But then again, that’s a lot of people that are asking questions and might mention it to others. Asking Lin to hold on to them presents a similar problem since she lives with her parents. Vernon maybe? He lives alone, his house isn’t too far from the library, and between him not having actually gone on the floating island trip and his status as junior mediator it’s a less likely place to go poking around.
One of those tailors (or is “seamstresses” the more accurate term?) called in that favor we bargained the clothes on. Going to be providing storytelling entertainment at a private gathering in a few days.
