Chapter 215: Day 214

Day 214,

Tracked Vernon down after getting to town this morning.  Told him about updates with the boat.  He pointed out that we could technically manage two adults in one boat and two adults plus Cass in the other boat, if both he and Lin come along then people might ask about how all four of us, plus supplies, are planning on fitting in the one boat.  With trying to keep Maiko a secret, questions like that could get sticky.

Neither of us have an answer for that at the moment.  I’ll need to figure something out.  And talk it over with the others.

For now though, actual archivist work.  Especially since I didn’t really do anything in here yesterday.

 

I talked with Maiko about what Vernon said this morning.  She simply suggested that we just leave Vernon behind.  I mean, that does seem like the obvious and reasonable course of action.  Of the three of them, he has the least obvious explanation of why he should be there.  Still feels wrong though.
