Chapter 163: Pearls III

Finally, the pearl had reached me, and I took it into my hand, just as I did that overwhelming refreshing feeling shot through me, much more intense than before.

It was a good thing that just as I touched it, I sent to my storage ring if I had touched it for a second longer, I would have gotten lost in that feeling.

A bright smile couldn't help but spread across my face as I got the pearl. I don’t have to say anything about its preciousness, anyone who would touch it will know its preciousness on its own.

Now that I had gotten the first pearl, it was time to take another, and I had wasted no time sending my soul thread toward the formation. In the formation, there are nearly a thousand pearls; I would not feel satisfied until I take a few pearls for my own.

I was stretching my soul syringe out; I suddenly felt that difficulty had risen considerably as if it had been doubled, and it felt especially true when I touched the pearl which had almost been doubled.

‘This is quite difficult.’ I thought, and I started to pull the pearl, I am not going to stop until I took at least two child fist size pearls, so I began to pull with all my strength.

It was very difficult, but I continued to use all my strength, and slowly it started to come up. It is so damn heavy that I am pulling it at the snail pace, but I did not mind, as long as I could get Pearl in my hands, I would be ready to take any strain.

Finally, after god knows how long I finally had the pearl near me and learned from my past mistake, I did not grab it, I just touched my nail to it, and it disappeared into my storage. Though I get that feeling, it was just very intense, not as overwhelming as before.

This time I did not immediately cast my soul string into the formation but thought about the pressure I felt earlier; if I am not wrong, then the pressure doubled when the pearl is taken.

So, if I guess the pressure would have doubled like the last time, then this time, there is no chance I will be again able to pull the Child fist-size Pearl back, I have to focus on the last concentric circle which had thumbnail size Pearls.

These Pearls have the highest number in all the pearls in the formation, they are nearly 50% of all the pearls, I am confident I could take one or two, maximum three in this increasing pressure but I want more, I want more pearls, and I have a strategy for that.

If my plan worked then, I would have a lot of Pearls in my hand, thinking I was about to start when I looked back at the air bubble and heaved a sigh of relief seeing there is still enough air to be here for more than fifteen minutes.

I looked at the formation and calmed myself before stretching all the twelve soul strings I had at the formation. Yes, for the maximum output, I am going to use all the soul string I have.

When soul strings approached the range of the formation, they started to feel suppression, which was twice much greater than before, which made me sigh of relief as there was one possibility that suppression increased by the number of strings increased.

Soon the strings approached, the pearls started to attach themselves to the pearls, each pearl gave me an intense feeling, and when this intense feeling of twelve pearls came together, it was quite overwhelming.

So, I gritted my teeth and started to pull all my twelve soul strings together. If I had been pulling the single pearl, I would have pulled it in less than a minute, but I am pulling the twelve pearls which increases the difficulty quite much.

I started pulling the pearls; it is very difficult, but since I am giving my everything up to pull them, they began to come up at the speed that is the same as the snail, but I did not mind.

They slowly started to come up, and finally, after an excruciating ten minutes, I had twelve pearls swimming in front of me, they looked really beautiful and enchanting and they also are very amazing resources which would sell at an astronomical price if I were to sell them.

But I am not going to do that; selling such precious stuff would be like bringing trouble to oneself, and I don’t want to do that, not until I am powerful enough to ward off all that trouble.

I touched my nail to every single of the pearls and took them into my storage, I now could be said to have the genuine fortune, these pearls are very extraordinary and will help immensely in my practice.

Seeing I have enough air, I started to send strings for another try, but halfway there, they stopped as they encountered a barrier. They did not encounter a barrier; just the resistance had become great enough that it felt like a barrier.

I have taken the twelve pearls together, so, normally, resistance will increase twelve times. Like I had said earlier, it will be hard to take out more than three pearls if I took them one by one.

I gave one last look at the formation and pearls inside before swimming back up, it will be quite a while before I come back in this cavern, but when I do, I will be powerful enough to take the bigger pearls out.

In a few minutes, I swam back above and got out of the pool before I walked toward my cave. I am feeling quite tired right now, since the morning I had not taken a minute of sleep and now it is near dawn.

I need a good sleep before I leave tomorrow as my journey would be anything but easy.
