Note: Short chapter
April 25th, 2000 [Forest]
The three walked through the forest and entered a clearing near the lake and waterfall. Ezra looked around making sure no one had followed them. Coast was clear. He led them closer to the water.
"Stay here. I'm going to receive it," he told the other two.
Kaizu and Valerie nodded as Ezra jumped into the water. Kaizu attempted to try and find him under the water.
"What is he getting?" Kaizu questioned.
Valerie shrugged as she paced back and forth. Kaizu sat on a nearby boulder gazing at the noisy waterfall.
Splash!
They turned toward the lake. Ezra had surfaced, breathing heavily. He walked back onto land with a rope. He tugged the "thing" he wanted to show them. Kaizu got off the boulder and helped Ezra pull it onto land.
"You wanted us to see a cross?" Valerie asked.
"Wait, there's someone attached to it!" Kaizu exclaimed.
"That's-"
"Drew Casey's body," Kaizu cut her off.
The two stared at the cross in shock. Valerie stood behind Kaizu as he stared at the body. He was processing what he was seeing. Who'd do such a thing to a student, he wondered.
"Let me guess. Gabriel did it?"
Ezra slowly nodded, before he pushed it back into the water. They watched as it slowly sank back down. Thoughts flooded his mind. They needed to either fend him off or end him once and for all.
"We must be wary. He could strike any day," Ezra said, turning toward the trees.
"Yeah, we do."
Kaizu sat down thinking about how he could defend everyone from him. He had lost to him easily just hours ago. He couldn't protect anyone. He was done for. He hated that he couldn't.
Suddenly, four figures came from the trees. All with familiar-looking faces. The Top 4. Katso, Saikona, Daniel, and Kazama. All four stood side by side.
"So, I take it you all heard us?" Ezra asked the four.
One stepped forward, Daniel Dybala, he looked at the three in front of him. He only thought about who this Gabriel person was. As a top student of Zone A, he wants to defend the school as much as anyone else.
"We want to help protect the Academy as well," he said. "We'll team up to make sure nothing happens."
Ezra nodded and walked forward. He was right in front of Daniel.
"Welcome to the Defensores, Top 4."

[Medical Bay]
Kaizu stood in front of the room where Hyuri was in. The doctor had told him Hyuri was awake. He hesitated. He was thinking of telling Hyuri about what he and Ezra talked about.
"No, I don't want him getting caught up in this," he told himself under his breath.
He opened the door and walked into the room. Hyuri was there sitting on his bed. He wondered why he was in a bed in the Medical Bay.
"Look who's awake."
"Kaizu? Why am I here?"
Hyuri was very confused. What felt like 20 minutes really had been days. Kaizu just smiled as he sat in a chair next to him. Hyuri's mind was scrambled. He began forcing himself to believe it was all a dream.
"You were asleep for a few days. I found you in the school's basement," Kaizu told the black-haired boy on the bed.
Those words contradicted Hyuri's thoughts. So it wasn't a dream, he thought. Hyuri threw his body into a lying position on his back.
"This place is weird," Hyuri mumbled under his breath.
Kaizu smiled as he now knew Hyuri was safe. But his mind jumped to another matter. Gabriel. Kaizu and Ezra now had a team that would go against any threat that went near the Academy.
"This place is weird, huh?"
They both were staring at the white ceiling. Hyuri was thinking about why this place was so odd. Kaizu thought about protecting everyone. He didn't think he had the power to do it though.
He slowly began doubting himself. Negative thoughts infiltrated his mind. Slowly, he doubted himself more and more. He needed air.
"I'm gonna go outside," Kaizu said leaving the room.

He stood behind a building. His mind still repeating negative thoughts. He couldn't stop them. He remembered back to a few years ago.
When Kaizu was eight. His father and younger sister were murdered. Kaizu tried to stop the man, but he couldn't. He's been training ever since so that wouldn't happen in his life ever again. Even now, he keeps blaming himself for not being able to stop him.
Tears began to form in his eyes. He wiped them away but more quickly appeared. He couldn't stop them. Soon, tears flowed out of his eyes, down his cheeks, and hit the ground.
"I'm so weak! I won't be able to protect anyone!" He screamed in frustration.
He punched the building behind him. It was a mix of emotions that even left him confused. He broke down. He sat against the building still crying.
"I'm weak..."
