Hyuri's POV
March 11th, 2000 [5:25 PM]
The south hallways were empty. I've only seen one or two people. I was leaning against a wall with one foot on it. I was waiting for Kensho and Rei to finish using the restroom. It was strange. Kensho needed a guard for whatever reason.
"You two should hurry up! Isn't time for you to get on your game, Kensho?!"
Rei walked out grabbing Kensho's arm. I glanced at them and wondered "What the hell?".
"What's up with him?" I asked genuinely worried.
"I don't know. Ever since we got to this area he's been afraid of something."
I looked at Kensho. He seemed traumatized. Is that why they were taking a long time? Was he afraid? Afraid of what though. He began talking. It was faint but I was able to hear him.
"It's just a matter of time. Until they come after me," he said.
"Until who goes after you?"
He looked up, and his eyes widened.
"Them," he pointed in my direction.
Rei looked in my direction. I turned around. Four boys stood there a few yards away. They all had wide grins on their faces. They walked toward us a little.
"It seems like you have backup this time, Yaki," one of the boys in the middle said, arrogantly.
"Who are you? What's your business with, Kensho," I asked boldly.
"You actually care about that pile of shit? Jus' look at him. Quivering in his uniform."
"Hey! Why don't you shut it and deal with me first!" Rei yelled at him.
"Wait, Rei!" I whispered attempting to get his attention.
"I only have business with Yaki and Katsuyo. No need for you to step into the picture."
Business with me? What had I done? Kensho as well. What had we done to get these guys after us? It was confusing, to say the least.
"So move aside, Shojin."
I think that set him off. Because next thing I know he ran at the guy straight on. No thought in his mind.
"First, think before you throw yourself into a fight," he said as he grabbed Rei's arm and lifted him off the ground.
"Hey! Put me down!!"
"Sure," he threw him back to his initial spot.
"Leave them out of this. You said you have "business" with me, right?" I asked.
"Yeah, I do."
"Then, fight me.
I was riled up. Even if I had only known Rei and Kensho for eleven days. Being with them for those eleven days in that dorm bonded us. And I wasn't gonna let that bond-
Thud!!
I felt the pain of the painted brick wall as I slammed against it. My back felt weird. Before my feet could even touch the floor I felt a fist hit my stomach.
"Guess the fight's done," he laughed.
I was angry. I gritted my teeth hard. It felt like they'd break.
"Karai-!"
Unfortunately, he grabbed my hair and slammed my head into the wall.
"Hyuri!!" I heard Kensho and Rei scream.

The back of my head felt warm. I slowly touched it. It was blood. This guy made me bleed.
"Ka...Ra-"
He did it again. Slamming the same spot into the wall. I felt the back of my head get warmer. I was useless. He got closer to my ear.
"Guess Aiko's precious body and soul are all mine..."
What had he meant? I didn't like her. Was this all because he thought I did.
"Bas...tard," was all I could slip out before being dropped forcibly.
"Now, to finish off little Kensho over here!"
I heard the sound of fast faint footsteps. Someone was running toward us.
"Lightning Resonance: Paralysis Shot," someone said.
The three other boys fell to the floor. And standing behind them was another boy.
"You're in the wrong area. Aren't you supposed to be in the Northern part with Drew?"
"Kai. H-hey didn't see you there."
"Don't act. Get your boy band and leave. Release Paralysis," he said calmly.
The first boy scurried off. The other three boys followed.
"Are you three alright?" He asked.
"Yes," we all said.
"You guys don't look familiar which area are you from?"
We didn't know there were areas. We all just shrugged.
"First-period teacher?"
"Professor Tanoji," Rei blurted out.
"You guys are from the East, huh?" he told us. "Daniel's side."
"Sorry uh..."
"Kai. Kai Ryugin."
"Sorry, Iker. We never knew there were sides."
"Most people don't. If you know certain people you'll know everything.
I was interested. So much so that I had forgotten that I was bleeding.
"Well, first thing's first. You guys have to know each domain and its 'leader'. The North Domain and its leader, Drew Casey. East Domain: Daniel Dybala. South Domain: Iker Kazama. West Domain: Saikona Akayo. And the Central Domain: Katso Midorikatchi."
Five areas in this building. I had never known.
"These five along with five others from Zone B and C make up the Masters' Circle. Fifteen students ranked above everyone else."
So we were in Iker Kazama's domain.
"Anyway let's go get that head if your's checked out."
Author's Note: Katso Midorikatchi, Saikona Akayo, Daniel Dybala, Iker Kazama, and Drew Casey. Guess which one you'll meet first.
