I was really busy that day. I work from home so it's just like other jobs but the only thing is that it's not a place for those people who cannot work alone. It's often tiring and boring but sometimes we are just charged up with so much energy that even 8 hours work seems to be less to us.
I have my table set-up near the window. That’s the perfect spot for any Freelance writing work. You can imagine it right? Beautiful views of the mountains, then the nature surrounding us…
Nope. That's not what my window shows me.
I live in a city so the scene is most probably of people going in and out of the bar. Fights between couples and so on. Some people yelled while some ran to catch their buses.
Same monotonous life indeed. No one can get out of it. Often I tried too many times in my life. Like trying to live in a village with little money. It was a really good experience but still, I missed my city a lot. I still miss Jenny the dairy girl. I think she has a better life than me. She had a small dairy store, a cute boyfriend, and a nice small house. Yes, better than me.
Mostly they were all married and you know how it goes. How life becomes a little hell when you live with married people. They are all great but not for me. I cannot stand children screaming and running around me. And then those moms running after their kids and asking me a million times for help. If I were a mother it would have sounded nice to me but not now.
I am packed up in my four walls with my friend Lola. She has a coffee shop but now she is on a break as she has found the love of her life.
I really hate Arthur for stealing my girl. How many times do we get a good friend like her?
“Are you still talking to yourself, Tina?”
I looked towards the door and saw my friend Lola standing with Arthur. They both looked like such a beautiful couple. Now I am jealous.
I shook my head like a teen girl. “Nope. I was working on my story.”
“We thought you had left the ghostwriting work,” Arthur said.
“Yeah but I couldn’t say no. They were offering me a huge amount for writing a small story.”

My table was full of crap. There was no place to keep my new books that are waiting for reviews. I made some place for the tray that Lola was holding.
“So Tina, you are not seeing anyone.”
I looked at Arthur and saw that Lola was giving him a deadly look.
“What?” I asked. The coffee was amazing. Life cannot be better without coffee.
“You are alone here. You just stay in your place most of the days,” Arthur said.
I know what he was saying. “I just had a breakup, Arthur.”
“I know but still, I have friends who can..”
Oh no. I know what he is trying to do over here. I know Lola set him up for this.
I faced back to my little window. The roads were all clear and soon it was all calm once again. No voice. No one is screaming. That’s how my life has become after being single.
I shook my head. “Arthur, I really appreciate your help but my answer is still no.”
I never said I am not going to get married but for now, I would like to be single. I have to figure out about my life. Being in a relationship won’t guarantee me happiness until I am happy in the first place.
