Yan Wei picked up her phone and scanned the barcode yet again. Her frown deepened as the results flashed across her phone, and the grip she had on her phone tightened.
The results were still the same!
The book was authentic!
How was this possible?
As soon as the students of Class 20 saw Yan Wei’s expression, they already knew what the results were. Some of them relaxed in their seats, and a few of them even had the courage to snicker.
Meng Yang snapped his fingers, attracting their attention.
“Hey, Yan Wei, how’s the verification going? Are we still lucky?”
Her cheeks became even more flushed.
Turning to Li Ruo, she gritted her teeth. “Help me out here! We’re going to check every single one of these books.”
Could it be that all these books had been bought through official channels?
How could this be possible?
Perhaps this was just another coincidence! Maybe the rest were reprinted versions.
She gritted her teeth. The last thing she wanted was to be disturbed by the other students. She wanted to ensure that they’d all be humiliated for taunting her like this.
Li Ruo immediately rushed forward.
This was such a waste of time, but it wasn’t like she had any other choice! There was no way that she was going to be bested by these students.
She scanned another one copy after the next.
Yan Wei continued, but every single time she scanned a bar code, she was only met with unfavorable results. What the hell was going on?
How could all of these books be authentic?
The book she had just scanned was another authentic copy.
They’ve really been sold through official channels. How was this even possible?
Her expression became even more gloomy.
It was just a cycle of grabbing a book and being proven wrong all over again.
Yan Wei lowered her gaze, unsure of what to think. Her grip on her phone tightened and loosened, and her mind had entered into a state of trance.
“Weiwei,” Li Ruo said cautiously. “Maybe there’s something wrong with your phone? I mean, it couldn’t be possible that…”
For the first two books that she had scanned, Li Ruo was willing to believe that the books had been legitimately bought by the students of Class 20.
However, she didn’t believe that all of them were bought officially. There must be something wrong!
“Have you tried it on your phone? Or maybe try grabbing our classmate’s phone and have a look through there?” Yan Wei said quickly.
Li Ruo followed her orders and scanned the code herself.
The results were really not on their favor!
The book was authentic!
“There must be a problem with the school’s system,” Li Ruo stammered, nervous. “How could this be, right? There must be something wrong with the admin.”
“Okay.”
Yan Wei swallowed her anger. Only after calming herself down did she finally walk back to her seat.
In her bag was a revision book from her own school.
Maybe she should use hers as a verification device.
Yao Tang’s finger swiped across the interface of her phone as soon as she saw this small act. A certain light flashed across her eyes as Yan Wei reached for her book, but she remained calm. Everything, after all, was already set into stone.
Yan Wei scanned her own book.
Her gaze was fixed on the information on top of it. However, as soon as the screen flashed, she froze.
It stated that the book belonged to her! That meant that the system wasn’t down at all.
Every single one of the books she had scanned earlier was right! And they had all gone through the official channels. What was this?
That meant that they were all legitimate copies!
Meng Yang stretched his head to see the content of Yan Wei’s phone. The corners of his lips lifted up. “Do you really think there’s a need to continue sweeping through the books one by one? We’re still in the middle of class?”
Just then, he waved his hand.
Immediately, everyone in Class 20 pulled out their review materials and threw them on the ground. The sound of their covers slamming against the floor echoed across the room.
