General Ironwood sighed for the umpteenth time as he led two people down a long corridor to where the sounds of fighting started to pick up.
He looked back to one of the people he was leading and said, "Are you absolutely sure about this, Ozpin? I know her Semblance is… well frankly unprecedented in its utility… but she's not… well"
Ozpin was about to answer when the other person with him let out an annoyed huff and glared at the General.
With venom in her voice the woman said, "And who's fault is that, Ironwood? We went over her file. Well, what we were allowed to read anyway. And her treatment is barbaric. That is the only word I have for it"
With another sigh General Ironwood nodded his head and returned his focus to the front as he said, "Yes, on that we agree. You have to understand, I had no part in this. We're still looking into how exactly it was permitted to have gone this far. Just between us three? I fully expect a few people to get executed for this"
Ozpin let out a surprised hum while fixing his glasses before asking, "That bad?"
General Ironwood seemed to deflate a bit before saying, "That bad my friend. The report just doesn't… portray the reality enough; you'll see"
As he finished talking they had arrived at a closed door that was guarded by eight soldiers in what appeared to be riot gear, fully armed too. He turned back to his long time friend and his feisty secretary and gave them a weak smile.
Closing his eyes as he shook his head slightly he said, "You'll see. She's not a danger to others normally. But… well, take a look"
Turning back to the guards he gave them a nod, and one of them saluted before inputting a passkey into the num-pad behind him. Soon after, a hiss was released from the large door as several massive metal beams started to pull themselves away from the door.
As the door was slowly unlocking itself the woman, Glynda Goodwitch, asked, "Is this really needed? Seems a bit… much no?"
One of the guards released an unamused huff before she quickly schooled herself when General Ironwood glanced at her.
While it was clear she was expecting a scolding from the General he instead said, "Explain to her why this is needed, soldier"
She quickly snapped a salute before saying, "Sir, yes sir. Pardon my outburst ma'am but this is one hundred percent needed to contain Private Alter should she get annoyed"
This caused both Ozpin and Glynda to tilt their heads in confusion before Ozpin asked, "Explain?"
With a nod the soldier said, "Sir, if Private Alter gets annoyed at the lack of challenge from her regulated combat tests, she will go out of her way to find new targets. Before we moved her tests to this reinforced arena, she had gone on a rampage twice. No-one died, but over 40 soldiers were permanently discharged from the damage she had done to them. And she had caused massive amounts of property damage"
Glynda turned her head to Ozpin with a scowl on her face and said, "And you want this person in a team, Ozpin? Are you trying to give me an early death? Are you bored, is that it?"
With a gentle laugh Ozpin said, "No no. Nothing like that. I am sure she just needs… a proper outlet for her to work on. The Grimm would be perfect for her. She could rage as much as she wanted against them after all"
General Ironwood hummed before the last beam had finally removed itself from the heavily reinforced door. As the door released one final hiss of steam it started to slowly open inward.
As General Ironwood started to walk he said, "Oh, one last thing. Do not expect any respect from her. You have to earn that, and to say that that is a hard thing to do would be an understatement"
As they entered the room the sounds of combat had increased in volume and intensity. Soon, the three had entered a sort of observatory that had a few scientists looking down at the spectacle below them with dumbfounded faces. This did not go unnoticed by the trio and they quickly followed their gazes. Below them in a metal arena of absolutely massive size was a surprise, to be sure.
A rather tall woman, with blonde hair was currently fighting what looked to be a mech suit. The surprising thing however was that there were already seven more of said suits ripped to shreds with their pilots groaning in pain among the ruined metal.
While the woman herself looked more or less unharmed, if you ignored the ruined clothes she had on.

With disbelief in her voice Glynda asked, "I thought she was 17 years old? She looks like she's at least 24 or 25!"
With a hum Ozpin said, "While that is indeed interesting, I am more interested in the fact that she is currently unarmed, winning against some of your mech suits James."
With as much disbelief in his voice as Glynda's he said, "So am I Ozpin. You there. Wasn't today's schedule supposed to be her against several of our elite units?"
The scientist was brought out of his dumbfounded stare by the question with a small yelp. As he turned to look at who was talking to him he quickly righted himself when he noticed who it was.
With a small gulp and wonder in his voice he said, "General Sir! It was yes, but Private Alter was taunting the units after she crushed them in a few minutes. Major Genner was indignant at her attitude, he's new, so he and his unit got into some of our prototype mech suits. Lead scientist Dr. Boria thought it would be a good way to test the prototypes and… uhh.. In his words, 'Humble the bitch'"
With a scoff General Ironwood turned his attention back to the slaughter that was happening before he said, "I hope the good scientist is prepared to pay for those prototypes. I could see using one, but not all of them. They are not cheap. So, how did they fare against Private Alter over all?"
Without missing a beat or feeling even remotely sorry for his superiors now empty wallet he said, "They lasted 10 minutes, Sir. From the readings, they were able to bring her aura down by 20% before she stopped playing and ripped them to shreds"
Glynda let out a small gasp and said, "Only 20%? What kind of monstrous reserves does she have?"
Ozpin had a smile on his face while he nodded his head, "Yes, like I said. The Grimm will be perfect for her. When can we meet her?"
Before the scientist could answer however, there was a loud crashing sound that was quickly followed by the screeching of metal being ripped apart. They all watched on in morbid fascination as the Private ripped apart the metal around the cockpit while laughing like a maniac.
As soon as she was finished ripping apart the mech and creating an opening to access the pilot, said pilot wasted no time in drawing his side arm and firing at her. The aura enhanced flame aspected bullets merely exploded harmlessly on her vibrant pink Aura while she laughed.
She reached into the cockpit of the ruined mech with a sadistic smile on her face as she yelled, "My turn!"
The man's blue Aura flared around him as he was ripped out of the cockpit and thrown down onto the pavement below. She quickly followed this up by jumping off the tall mech and landed with her elbow onto the man's chest. His Aura flared once again as he groaned in pain, which only caused her to laugh even harder at him.
Grabbing the man by the neck as she stood up, she smiled widely at him as she asked, "Where is all that attitude from before?! I believe it is you who needs to learn to respect their betters, weakling! Can't even handle some pain?!"
She then viciously punched the man several times with impressive speed in the chest, causing his Aura to finally break. But much to everyone's expectations, aside from a horrified looking secretary, she kept going. She jabbed him into the side of his chest, breaking several of his ribs before she tossed him up and grabbed him by the leg and slamming him down into the ground harshly.
She dusted off her hands and looked at the man with disdain as she said, "Weakling."
As she made her way out of the arena everyone was silent in the observatory for various reasons. It was Glynda who ended up breaking the silence with her question.
She turned to Ozpin and with wide eyes she asked, "Are you mental? You want THAT near students?!"
With a shrug he took a sip from a coffee cup that no-one knew exactly where he had gotten from.
After the quick sip he said, "We might have a few incidents at the start, but I am sure it'll be fine. You've seen her power, Glynda. We can't let such a powerful person just rot away and do tests like this. No offence James"
General Ironwood shook his head and said, "None taken, Ozpin. I also think it would be good for her to get out while she is still… more or less mentally sane. She is rather pleasant outside of combat, if you ignore her rudeness. Just gain her respect somehow Ozpin, and I am sure you'll have a much easier time dealing with her than we have"
With a nod Ozpin said, "I'll make sure to do that then. Now, let's go meet the newest member"
As they were leaving the room Glynda mumbled to herself, "At least she hasn't killed anyone like the last person he recruited… Really Ozpin, I hope you know what you're doing"
