Yu Ze was carrying his tray towards the snack rack when a man in a black suit suddenly came out from his left and ran straight into him. He was too late to avoid it and fell to the right, but his arm was pulled by the man and he could barely hold his position.

The tray in his hand fell to the ground, spilling pastries all over the place.

“Watch where you walk!” The man grabbed his arm and growled angrily, pointing to his cream-stained suit, “Do you know how much this tuxedo costs? Can you afford to pay for it if you messed it up?”

Yu Ze tried hard to get his arm free but couldn’t, and his brow furrowed, “You’re the one who bumped into me.”

“You mean it’s my fault?” The man raised his voice, raised his foot and stepped on the tray on the ground, and with a bang, the tray broke into pieces.

At the same time, the pressure of an pressure of an Awakened One rushed straight at Yu Ze.

Yu Ze did not feel very uncomfortable, the man’s pressure was completely inferior to Feng Sheng’s, obviously that of a primary Awakened — completely unable to bestialize, and having only inherited some of the beast ancestor’s abilities, such as great strength. Because of their inherited beast ancestor genes, an Awakened’s human nature hid their beastly nature, and their temper was easily irritable.

On the lower the level, one was less likely to control their emotions.

Yu Ze was very clear that he was right in this matter, but also knew if he were to argue, his consequences might be the same as the tray.

“That’s not what I meant.” He thought for a moment and made the tone of his voice as calm as possible, “Let go of me first.”

“Apologize and pay for it, or don’t think I’ll let go.” The man held his hand tighter and Yu Ze couldn’t help but hiss in pain.

The next moment, a hand quickly reached over, directly holding the man’s wrist and folding it outward.

“Ah!” The man howled in pain all of a sudden, his fingers powerless as he let go.

Yu Ze’s arm was released, and the sense of intimidation that enveloped him disappeared.

“You were the one who didn’t have eyes and ran into him, and you still have the nerve to ask him to apologize?” Long Yuan shook off the man’s hand, his tone mocking. He tilted his head and asked Yu Ze, “Is everything okay?”

Yu Ze looked at him with slight surprise and shook his head, “I’m fine, thanks.”

The man covered his hand and turned his head angrily. When he saw Long Yuan, his expression twisted for a moment and he forced out a smile, “Young Master Yuan, you know each other?”

Long Yuan did not answer, only giving a light hum, “Apologize to him.”

The man’s face was visibly ugly, “Young Master Yuan, I will not pursue this matter, but an apology would not be appropriate!”

An Awakened’s status was high, and to apologize to ordinary people, in his opinion, was completely humiliating. If he did what he was told, how could he behave in the future?

“I think it’s appropriate.” Long Yuan raised his eyebrows.

At this time, the butler came with the cleaner in time, greeted Long Yuan, and asked Yu Ze about the situation, “What’s going on?”

Yu Ze explained briefly, and as he spoke, the floor had already been cleaned.

The butler smiled and interceded, “Young Master Yuan, it was an accident. How about letting Feng Ze go back to rest first? He has an exam tomorrow.”

Long Yuan looked at Yu Ze who was slightly stunned, was he asking for his opinion? He didn’t want to stay any longer, it had only been a short while and he didn’t know what would happen if he stayed longer. He was satisfied with the butler’s arrangement and didn’t care for an apology, so he smiled at Long Yuan, “Thank you, I want to go back first.”

His face was slightly red from the previous struggle, and his eyes seemed to be filled with tears under the crystal light. When he smiled just now, it was like a peach blossom fell on an ice peak, and the coldness dispersed and added to the beauty.

Long Yuan’s gaze paused for a moment and he shrugged his shoulders, “As you wish.”

After saying that, he did not care about the rest of the people, turned around and went back to the sofa.

The butler, “Feng Ze, you go back first.”

Yu Ze nodded and quickly left the banquet hall.

When he left, the butler whispered to the man in the black suit, “Mr. Lang, come with me, I’ll have someone help you fix your suit.”

When he reached the dressing room, Mr. Lang stared at the butler who raised his hand to thank him, “Thank you, Mr. Lang, for your help. His Lordship will honor his promise.”

Mr. Lang smiled, “It’s a small thing.” Thinking of Long Yuan’s words to have him apologize, his expression sank again for a moment, “The Long family boy, what a great authority.”

Feng Sheng heard the butler’s report and tapped his finger on the armrest, “After all these years, only Long Yuan awakened the beast ancestor gene on his sixteenth birthday, no wonder he is so powerful. They say he will definitely experience an Advanced Awakening, if not more,” he sneered. “The higher he is praised now, the worse he will fall down later.” He looked at the butler, “It’s always good to be more prepared, since he’s standing up for Feng Ze, he seems to have some connection with him.”

He pondered for a moment, “If you find a chance, get Xie Wan to sign a lifetime contract, and when Feng Ze becomes an adult, arrange for him to follow Long Yuan.”

The butler nodded and answered, “Yes.”

Feng Sheng flipped his palm and looked at it, his face slightly sunken, “If I were an Advanced Awakened being, why would I even count on a small ordinary person?” He closed his eyes, his tone firm, “The Feng family can not be defeated in my hands.”

The butler’s face was straight, “Master is far-sighted, the Feng family will definitely return to the glory of a hundred years ago.”

Feng Sheng fingers slowly but heavily clenched fist, said in a deep voice, “You’re right, it will.”

When Long Yuan returned to his seat, Bai Yan rubbed his chin and sized him up, “Who is Feng Ze, and how do you know him?”

Long Yuan did not want to mention the humiliation from earlier, reached out and pushed the glass away to get the juice, “Not familiar, met once.”

Bai Yan pressed his cup closer, his expression got a little more serious, “Something is wrong, that’s too deliberate,” he turned his head, “A’Miao.”

Xuan Miao was the almost fully Awakened of the three, with strong five senses. His head tilted slightly to the left, thinking back for a moment, “His footsteps are fast and steady, no hesitation. He deliberately bumped into the kid.”

Bai Yan moved his hand on the mouth of the cup, “Deliberately chose him.” He raised his eyebrows at Long Yuan, said speculation, “Your private relationship was discovered, someone was deliberately testing you.”

“What private relationship? We don’t have a private relationship!” Long Yuan immediately retorted. He hadn’t thought much about it, but when he heard Bai Yan say so, he had a suspicion in his heart and his sword brows frowned fiercely.

The Feng family must have found out that he and Feng Ze had met in the surveillance he had asked to be deleted.

Now bringing Feng Ze in front of him, because he deleted the surveillance, there were some colorful guesses, right? His expression rose unnaturally for a moment.

Nasty!

Bai Yan saw the difference in his expression and asked curiously, “Tell me honestly, did you and Feng Ze have something going on?”

Long Yuan didn’t answer, just the more he thought about it, the more annoyed he was. He didn’t expect a little thing to be blown out of proportion by the Feng family.

He also felt inexplicably uncomfortable, and abruptly got up, “The Feng family is too annoying. I’m leaving. Let’s go somewhere else to play.”

The interest in Bai Yan’s eyes flashed,  “If you like Feng Ze, you should take this chance. You are a fast awakener and a Green Dragon Awakened, you will need someone in the future.”

The stronger the Awakened, the more territorial they were and the more they instinctively rejected the strong, and they were energetic and needed a channel to vent.

Those on Watt who were Awakened usually had ordinary human lovers.

On Watt, it was normal for two Awakened to marry for the sake of a powerful offspring, while each had a lover to solve their own needs. The marriage law, after the outbreak of the zombie virus, had lost its effect on the Awakened.

Long Yuan snorted disdainfully, “I don’t need it, let’s go.” After saying this, he got up to leave.

“Wait,” Xuan Miao spoke a little faster than usual, his eyes moved away from the message he had just received, “First, go back to school.”

“It’s still early…” Long Yuan was saying when his and Bai Yan’s bracelet sounded the message beep at the same time.

When Long Yuan finished reading the message, his face became serious.

Bai Yan pulled Xuan Miao up, “District Two has found traces of high-level zombie beast activity, we are not safe outside the school.”

The second district was too close to the first district.

Three hundred years ago, Planet Watt had a zombie virus outbreak, and a post-apocalyptic disaster came. In a situation of extreme survival, the Watt people emerged as Awakened individuals who, after the age of sixteen, awakened to the beast-like abilities of their primitive ancestors.

They resisted the siege of human cities by zombie beasts, protected Planet Watt, and recaptured most of the human territories through years of fighting. Currently, of the nine districts, only the north-west eight or nine districts were still occupied by the zombie beasts. The Awakened and the zombie beasts were inherently antagonistic. In recent years, more and more advanced zombie beasts liked to disguise themselves as humans and blend into the crowd to kill the Awakened.

Those who were not fully Awakened or still in the process of Awakening would be in danger when they encountered the zombie beasts.

Long Yuan closed the message interface, “Let’s go back to school.”

The three of them walked to the entrance of the banquet hall where the guards were already waiting, and the three of them returned to the school under tight protection. It didn’t take long for the banquet hall to be half-full. Feng Sheng maintained a gentle face until the banquet was over, and then his face sank.

Feng Hai was not too happy and Feng Sheng looked at him, “Come with me.”

The father and son went to the study, Feng Sheng did not say a word and sat down.

Feng Hai couldn’t help complaining, “Father, Long Yuan and the others are too much. They left so early and didn’t give us any face.”

Feng Sheng sneered, “Why should he give you face? If you can awaken the beast ancestor gene tonight, I will make him apologize to you tomorrow.”

Feng Hai subconsciously squeezed his wrist, with expectation and uneasiness. The study quieted down and Feng Hai sat down restrainedly and uneasily, looking at the time from time to time.

As soon as twelve o’clock passed, Feng Hai stared at his wrist, but the chip did not move at all.

After another half an hour, Feng Sheng spoke, “Go to bed first, and after the exams the day after tomorrow, I will make a new training plan for you.”

“Yes, father.” Feng Hai secretly sighed with relief, since his father said that, it meant he hadn’t given up on him yet. That’s right, he’s only sixteen, there’s still two years left. He’ll definitely awaken the beast ancestor gene!

Feng Sheng waited for him to leave, thought for a long time and dialed a communication, “The deal you said, I promise.”

Who knows what the other said, but Feng Sheng’s cheeks tightened for a moment and then loosened, “Okay, I will show you my sincerity.”

The next morning, Yu Ze woke up to his 6:30 a.m. alarm. He and Xie Wan had breakfast together and then he took the bus to Gretel University. Gretel University was a key university in District One, with the most popular Awakened Department in addition to the top general departments.

Yu Ze walked into the school and looked towards the research building of the Medicine Department with a troubled look because of what the original remembered happening tomorrow.

Tomorrow, an experimental mid-level zombie beast would run out here, causing the death of two Awakened students. He was not in danger of losing his life in this incident, but knowing that a tragedy was about to happen, it was hard for him to sit back and do nothing.

What could be done to stop it?

He pondered over this question until lunch break, when he was doing his original’s work-study job — tending to the plants in the glass trellis of the Horticulture Department.

Could he anonymously warn the Security Office and the Medicine Department? Or warn the Awakened students not to leave the Awakened Department?

“Beeee……”

He was thinking about it when the shrill campus alarm suddenly sounded.
