“Hmm, since you are so stupid, I arrived behind your back, but why did you run away with such a desperate look on your face?”
“S-shut up! I don’t know how you managed to get behind me, but it won’t happen again.”
“And how will you cast a spell if you don’t understand it? How can your attack hit someone if you don’t know how to avoid it? Are you that stupid?”
I fanned Melissa.
Had it not been me and had she thought calmly, she would get alerted the moment I avoided the first blow and thought of a way to escape.
However, the other party is me, a dim-witted and ill-behaved person who is usually incapable of using swords and magic. I can tell from her expressions that she was probably enraged at being mocked. That she is not thinking about escaping but how she can hurt me.
If she had thought about escaping, she might have had a chance, but I set up a barrier to prevent her from doing so. She might have noticed the slight discomfort when I did it were she alert and tried to escape.
Even while I was thinking about this, Melissa launched fire spells at me, and this time, instead of avoiding the fire magic, I counteracted it with the same fire magic.
No, countering like this wasn’t a simple matter.
This is disciplining the dog.
All the spells I unleashed surpassed Melissa’s, and even after countering, they continued toward her without disappearing.
“How ridiculous! This can’t be happening! Not only did he cancel out mine, but it’s superior…”
Melissa managed to fight back my spells, but her attacks became fewer and fewer, and when she finally stopped fighting back, the look on her face told me that she had finally realized the gravity of the situation.
How she was no longer looking down at me but was afraid as if she saw a monster showed her change of attitude towards me.
Usually, spells with the same power are basically the same, so they would cancel out if they collide head-on.
However, I am wearing equipment from my gaming days that has increased the power of my magic attacks. It is only natural that I would outperform her if we used the same spells. But Melissa had no way of knowing that. I’m sure she was shocked to where it could shake the very foundation of her magic.
I’m grateful that I could access my Storage, and I can use items from my gaming days.
I appreciate the ability to simply select the desired item and then move it in and out, equip it instantly, and more.
When I took one step forward, Melissa took two steps back. When I took two steps, she did three.
“… Eh?”
Then Melissa finally couldn’t take another step back.
She had come to the edge of the barrier I had set up.
“I told you, didn’t I? It’s time for discipline. I won’t let you escape, you idiot.”
