I was unintentionally annoyed, but I somehow managed to suppress showing the expression on my face just in time.
However, I mustn’t forget that my reputation is that of trash.
I’ve been quiet of late, but that doesn’t help improve my reputation, which has fallen to the ground, and I’m only staying quiet because I don’t want to add to the trouble.
I want to make my presence less noticeable, and if I wanted to improve my reputation, such behaviour would be many times more effective.
It is a cheat tool that allows a so-called ‘bad boy’ to get a likeability boost by doing a few good things, but I don’t intend to do such a thing here.
So, I don’t care if Karendoll hates me here.
“Oh, is that so? Then I’ll go now.”
“Wait.”
“If you don’t have anything to say, don’t keep me here. I don’t want to waste my break time either.”
“But I didn’t say there was nothing else to do other than talking.”
Karendoll then pulls out two wooden swords from the stockpile in the training hall, which are usually kept at a stand at the entrance, and throws one of them at me.
“What are you trying to do? Don’t tell me you’re not planning to have a mock battle with me with a wooden sword?”
“No way. Just get ready.”
“Are you kidding me? Why should I have a mock battle with someone whose ranking in the school is always in the single digits in both magic and practical skills? Do you know my ranking in the school? I’m at the bottom in both skills. Why do I have to have a mock battle with you, Karendoll-san? It’s a waste of time, you know, a waste of time. Then that’s what… is all about.”
It was easy for me to imagine it would be nothing but trouble to get involved in this, so I decided to stay out of it in any way if possible. I tried to leave, but she blocked my way with her wooden sword just when I was about to.
She probably thinks she can do whatever she wants to someone she considers garbage.
“Do you think I’ll allow you to leave?”
“I didn’t expect you to be so rude, Karendoll-san.”
