Chapter 135  Confession (2)

Taoist Leader Qing Yin did not know that the senior brother she had just recognized was feeling restless over her, with a heart like a capering monkey and a mind like a galloping horse. She finished her sword dance, then went on to the next step of the process.

She was very diligent this time because she had been looking forward to eating a good meal with Luo Luo afterwards for the entirety of it. It made her exceptionally hard-working.

Finally, the opening the light process was completed. The boss paid the money and saw that there were fine beads of sweat on Qiao Moyu’s forehead, so he asked: “Great Master, if you don’t dislike it, please come sit in our store! Mister Actor too. Everything in our store is made by me and my wife. The ingredients are quality, the taste authentic!”

Qiao Moyu pretended to think for a few seconds before agreeing: “Then we will intrude on you!”

The couple quickly went inside to the kitchen to cook. Outside, Luo Luo’s big eyes stared at Ye Peicheng: “Sect Uncle, what is your Dao name?”

Ye Peicheng thought for a bit: “Call me Zhui Yu!”

Qiao Moyu thought about it: “Zhui Yu? Very elegant, sounds good!”

Zhui Yu, chase Yu. Ye Peicheng voiced it silently in his heart and turned his eyes toward Qiao Moyu: “So, in future, if you go out and help people open the light, you need to remember to call on your senior brother.”

*{T/N- Zhui means chase in Chinese, the zhui used in his name has the same sound but it written differently. Same with Yu; the yu used in his name means jade, but it sounds the same as the yu in Qiao Moyu’s name}

Qiao Moyu nodded: “En, Taoists of the same school need to stick together.”

As she said that, she suddenly remembered something: “Right, I still have something to give you.”

Saying that, she pulled out a cloth bag containing nine walnuts, handing them over to Ye Peicheng: “Give these walnuts to your father.”

Ye Peicheng received the bag in confusion. He took a peek inside and saw that it was the ones they picked that day; only, the outside shell was removed, and the walnut’s color was still relatively light.

He asked: “Why give it to my father?”

“Just let it be thanks for gifting our Taoist school a talented person!” Qiao Moyu lied without breaking a sweat. Actually, she had been trying to find an excuse all along. She was finally able to give the walnuts out.

“Don’t open it. You have to hand it over to your father in person.” Qiao Moyu urged again.

She believed that once Father Ye received the walnut, he would personally contact her! Then, she will be able to make up a good enough reason to not let Father Ye sit on that particular flight.

At this time, Ye Peicheng’s phone rang.

He picked it look to take a look, and saw that it was from an unknown number. However, since his phone blocks harassment calls, the call shouldn’t be from an advertiser.

He swiped to receive the call: “Hello.”

A male voice was heard through the receiver: “Hello, are you Ye Peicheng?”

After Ye Peicheng’s ‘I am’ statement of affirmation, the male voice continued: “I am FOCUS Exercise Club’s VIP trainer, you can call me Mick Yang. I heard from the manager that you wanted a private training program. When you have the time, let’s meet at FOCUS and set the training?”

When Ye Peicheng heard the other person talk about training matters, he immediately lowered the volume on his phone to prevent sound from traveling too far.

He pretended to take an unintentional glance at Qiao Moyu sitting across from him. He remained calm and lowered his voice: “I have time tomorrow night. I will notify you when the time comes.”

The other person agreed: “Okay. Then Mister Ye, we’ll see you tomorrow.”

Ye Peicheng hung up the phone, picked up the water on the table, and just took one sip before Qiao Moyu opened her mouth: “Senior brother, you need to work out?”

Ye Peicheng almost choked on his mouthful of water. He maintained his composure while setting down his cup, and slowly raised his eyes: “You heard it?”

“Yeah, my ears are pretty good, it really wasn’t intentional!” Qiao Moyu’s face was full of curiosity: “You also know, I have just entered the entertainment circle. So, I actually don’t have a very clear understanding of it yet. Aren’t you guys supposed to exercise whenever you’re free? So that you guys can always maintain your figure?”

Before she transmigrated, the books have always said that. Moreover, aren’t selfies taken in the gym one of the main types of selfies that stars take?

Men show off their muscles; women show off their chest and body.

He didn’t know if she was asking this on purpose, or if she wanted to know something. Since he was seen through, he might as well be unperturbed about it. His gaze fixed on Qiao Moyu, his voice gradually turning deeper: “Naturally, Senior Brother’s purpose is to train his muscles.”

Qiao Moyu’s eyes lit up: “Training your muscles is very good! Having muscles is more handsome!”

“Then what do you think about the current me–” Ye Peichengs voice deepened even more, sounding as if it could make ears pregnant: “in comparison to your ideal figure?”

Qiao Moyu thought for a bit: “Turn around, let me look?”
