Ch.191 My Little Koi (3)

Here’s your chapter:

Qiao Moyu stepped away from the door and just as she was about to say “come in”, he had already stepped in and held her in an embrace.

The chilliness of the night wind still lingered on his body, which made her shiver in her thin indoor clothes.

“What’s wrong?” She lifted her head to ask him and pretend as if nothing had happened, “Why are you here, did something happen?”

In fact, they had already seen each other today during the day and even ate lunch together.

“Little Moyu, I thought something had happened to you.” Ye Peicheng’s voice was heavy with worry as he bowed his head to kiss her forehead.

“I am fine.” Qiao Moyu had thought Ye Peicheng was here to either scold or confront her, but it seemed like his attitude showed otherwise which made her somewhat unsure on the matter.

“My question in the call earlier, did you misunderstand?” He asked.

She forced a smile, “Not at all.”

Ye Peicheng knew Qiao Moyu had definitely misunderstood. He had rushed all the way here with his body still covered in dust but knew that right now was not the time to talk about it.

So he carried the stuff he had bought over and laid it out on the coffee table, “I’ve not eaten dinner yet. Let’s eat some supper.”

Qiao Moyu looked at the things he had bought and felt Ye Peicheng was eating a farewell dinner with her.

She sat down and smiled, “Okay.”

Ye Peicheng sat opposite to Qiao Moyu and stared at her expression the entire time. When he saw that she was eating differently compared to before, he held on to her hand, “Moyu, I did not mean ‘that’ by my call.”

She looked up.

His eyes were stained from the lights of crystals and had a hint of emotion, “I only felt that I had found a piece of treasure.”

Qiao Moyu was stumped for words. The mustard duck feet that she had just placed in her mouth tasted slightly spicy but she liked it.

“Indeed, I felt it was unimaginable.” Ye Peicheng continued, “But, I am more amazed that anything else at your specialness.”

He gazed into her eyes, “I felt as though I had been blessed with the most unique treasure of all time. I was even somewhat excited, it’s a feeling I cannot seem to describe.”

Qiao Moyu’s throat was blocked and she continued to stare Ye Peicheng without a word.

After a while, she finished the mustard duck feet and asked him, “Do you not feel that I am a monster?”

“I would like you even if you were a monster. You are not a monster, you are my little koi.” Ye Peicheng grabbed onto Qiao Moyu’s hand, “These past few months, all my good luck had come from you. Moyu, I am so lucky to have you.”

If it wasn’t for her, he would still not get along with his father and today he would have regretfully lost his father forever. If that had happened, he would have to live the rest of his life in self-blame and be unable to free himself of those shackles.

He did not know how to describe his current feelings especially after seeing the news about the aircraft. The sort of fear that comes after a calamity.

“I only coincidentally…” Qiao Moyu felt she could not say she had transmigrated into a novel world because that was even more unimaginable and outrageous.

“It doesn’t matter what the reason was. I am still very grateful to have you.” As Ye Peicheng continued, he embraced Qiao Moyu, “Little Moyu, does anyone else know you have this ability?”

Qiao Moyu shook her head, “I’ve only blessed others, no one else knows.”

Ye Peicheng nodded his head. He passed his fingers through Qiao Moyu’s long soft wavy hair and smelled her breath, “Then I must hide you well so nobody else can lust after you.”

At this point, Qiao Moyu completely understood his attitude and the previous coolness instantly disappeared. She looked up, “Are you afraid of me?”

“Why would I be afraid?” Ye Peicheng kissed her cheek, “You are so pretty, I like you way too much to be afraid of you.”

This was the first time he had said something like this and her cheeks instantly blushed red, “You really think so?”

“Yes.” He nodded then suddenly thought of something and his eyes reflected a deeper meaning, “In order to show that I am not afraid of my little koi and am in fact very much glued to her, I have decided that tonight I will stay here!”
