It wasn’t exactly a good system, but to the tribespeople it worked. To be either one of the four clans, or better yet the lead clan, they needed to fulfil one of the three points of interest:

  1. Population – depending on how big a clan was decided on how high its status was in the tribe. The Chiefess was the last of her clan, meaning she was bottom of this list of criteria. The Forger clan would be placed as the first, then the Warriors, tied third would be the Vultures and Huntresses, and lastly the Chiefess.
  2. Strength– strength was determined on how strong the leader of the clan was. There was no need to say, but the Chiefess was strong.

“Really? Your telling me she is stronger than the lead warrior? Isn’t that the entire point of her being the lead warrior because she is the strongest,” Charlie asked, interrupting Nolkonoe as she spoke.

“Well yes, her blood line is full of warriors with strength beyond any other of the tribe, and most likely she has inherited that blood as well” Nolkonoe smiled as she began to explain about the family of the Chiefess.

“You know the stories of the dragon slayers?”

“Fierce warriors who were highly renowned, but due to their skills some started to sell their work off to countries, kingdoms and the empire. Soon the funds for their services became so high that they had their own coin made for them, the Dragona,” Charlie said, a glint of joy in his eyes as he spurted out all he knew about the legendary warriors.

“You know a lot about them?” Nolkonoe said, seeing the enjoyment he got from talking about them.

“Yeah, as a child I thought those guys were the best! I had always wanted to be one. Even when I became older, I still studied their stories and the recounts of how they became heroes but were slowly corrupted by money,” Charlie continued, a child like smile spreading across his face. Without thinking, Nolkonoe smiled back. It seemed using her eyes on him had worked. Using the power of her eyes to calm him, it had moved his mind from the gruesome sight he had seen and onto this. Smiling even wider, she was excited to see his expression to what she would say next.

“Well, if you know so much, then how many of the dragon slayers were female?” For a moment Charlie looked at her, confused with her question.

“None,” he answered, still baffled by her question.

“Not all were, for example, the Chiefess’s mother was, and her mother before and her mother beyond that,” Nolkonoe explained. Charlie’s eyes widened at the prospect of knowing he was the pet of someone of dragon slayer blood. Someone who if she wanted could probably become a legend just by saying where her blood came from and what powers it possessed.

“Know those raiders we fought against? Well, the Chiefess’s mother had died while fighting an army of two thousand of them alone. So, I think when I say the Chiefess inherited some of that blood, you can see why she is the strongest in terms of strength,” Nolkonoe said, finishing her explanation.

  1. Going back to two, the listing of the clans would be: The Chiefess clan first, second the Vultures (Charlie noted how Nolkonoe proudly straightened her back at saying this) tied third the Warriors and Huntresses, then lastly the forgers.
  2. Power – power is backing for the support of the tribes. In terms of support, the Chiefess’s clan is at the top as they have the backing of the Vultures, Warriors, and Huntresses. Since the Forgers didn’t get any backing and refuse to back the main party, since they wish for independence for being used as livestock during the past five years, they were placed last on the list of tribes.

Charlie listened closely to this listing. Seeing now that the Forgers were a large people, but also the most abused.  The Huntresses and Warriors were heavily competitive as they both tied in two of the categories, and then the Vultures just kind of excited. Doing their own things and being happy. Being the last of her clan, the Chiefess was lucky to have the support of the three of the four major clans.

“So how is a threat to me?” Charlie said, not understanding how this was that important to him.

“Since you have caught the eyes of many women, many clans may try and take you in so that they could breed you. Even though the Huntresses and Warriors are loyal, given the chance they would jump to be the head clan,” Nolkonoe explained.

“Then what would happen to the Chiefess?” Charlie said, a little amazed with himself at how concerned he was towards her.

“Her clan would probably take her in our of respect of being the last of her clan, or I will at least,” Nolkonoe said.

“Again though, how does this matter to me?” Charlie said, not understanding how he would make a difference.

“Since the Chiefess took an interest in you, others began to as well. And once the proved your worth to us by helping us against the Region Lord, having you in their clan would heavily help them vie for power as the lead clan. Maybe it would even give them enough leeway to ignore one of the three points to becoming the lead clan. After all the warrior clan has no males, my clan as none, the huntresses have three, and the forgers have two, lastly, the Chiefess only has you,” Nolkonoe explained.

“Breeding you would be of great help to any clan. So, the Huntresses and Warriors may try to seduce you. But the lesser clans wont dares to harm you. But it is the Forgers thought are the ones you must worry about. If they had you, they could have the breed with their women and once the children were born, they could probably have enough people to try for independence again,”

“Again, they have tired before?” Charlie questioned and Nolkonoe nodded.

“Indeed, they were only stopped by us having to sacrifice so many of their people to the tribe because of the Region Lord,” Nolkonoe said as she lay back onto the stone of the temple.

“I just wish all this disappeared some days. All this petty fighting, for what? A title and some privileges? It means nothing in the end if we are all dead!” Nolkonoe said, sighing as she threw a lazy arm over her face.

“So, what you going to do about me? You trying to seduce me as well? You have those magic eyes, don’t you?” Charlie said, not sure himself whether or not he was joking or accusing her of such. After all her eyes did make him uncountable now that he knew the power they had.

“Don’t worry, I respect you as property of the Chiefess. And only my direct blood line can use the eyes, even then we can only use them seven times a day or I pass out from loss of magic. I have used them five times so far to stop you from having a panic attack or getting really angry when I told you about our history,” Nolkonoe admitted. Annoyed or not at what she said at how casually she mentioned the fact she had manipulated his emotions without his permission, Charlie had to admire her honesty.

“I see,” Charlie said, laying back onto the stone as well.

“Do you think it was safe sending the forgers off to be the ones to deliver the documents?”

“They wont betray us. They may not like us, but they are still member to the tribe,” Nolkonoe reassured.

“It’s been a long day,” he said, staring at the sky.

“I’m sorry,” Nolkonoe said. Sitting up, Charlie stared angrily down at Nolkonoe.

“I said its alright! stop saying sorry!” Charlie said strictly down to her, grabbing the end of her tail and tugging on it just enough to irritate her. Grunting, Nolkonoe turned away from him.

“I know! But I feel bad!” Nolkonoe wined. Moving closer to her, Charlie placed her tail onto his lap.

“It’s been a long, stressful day, let’s just relax and I’ll look after you,” Charlie explained as he ran his fingers through her fur. Moaning, she turned to look at him.

“Don’t do that!” Immortality stopping upon her command, Charlie raised his hands in surrender.

“Sorry!” he quickly replied. Sighing, Nolkonoe flickered her tail across his face.

“It’s alright but doing such a thing to a woman in our tribe is the same as saying you wish to sleep with her,” Nolkonoe explained. Blushing, Charlie moved to try and make a safe distance between himself and her tail, but her tail flicked in front of his face, stopping him.

“I understand your intentions were not sexual. And they do not have to be. If you like my tail, stroke it, I won’t take it the wrong way,” Nolkonoe said, wanting to give in a little to her guilty pleasure of having such an adorable young man playing with her tail.

“I wish I had met you twenty years ago,” Nolkonoe said, looking over her shoulder at Charlie.

Giggling, she watched as he happily played with her tail. Such a small thing was so easily entertained. There was no doubt about her love for Phukomeia, but still she wished she could have had Charlie as her mating partner. Well without all the sacrificing him after she was pregnant thing. Smirking, Nolkonoe found it funny how she was far older than him. So old in fact that he wasn’t even an idea in the brain of person before when she was two hundred. Laughing a little more, she knew that he wasn’t even sperm before she was three hundred.

Moaning a little, she straightened her back. God his hands were good!

Flicking around, she placed a kiss onto Charlie’s lips. For a moment he was a little taken aback, and his confusion only increased as she lay back down along his lap. Entirely not sure on what to say, Charlie just returned to stroking her back and tail. Blushing at her impulsive action, Nolkonoe buried her face into his leg.

“Can I ask a question?” Charlie said, wanting to try and distract himself from the fact he had an eight-foot tall, scantily clad, wolf woman lying on him. Turning her head to peek over her shoulder at him, Nolkonoe replied.

“Anything my dear, just keep massaging my tail. It feels so good!” Nolkonoe admitted as she allowed him to continue playing.

“I was thinking about earlier,” Groaning as she heard him say this, she smacked his face with her tail.

“I thought we agreed it has been a long day?” Nolkonoe wined.

“Yes, but there is still work to be done,”

“NO! there isn’t, I called you here to talk about our past, and about how other women may try to seduce you!” Nolkonoe said. Jumping a little, she sneered and turned her head around again to look at him. His arms were crossed in protest as he looked away from her.

“And I didn’t come here to be some toy for you,” Charlie said, trying to move from under the wight of Nolkonoe. Sighing, she moved to his side.

“Don’t leave! and take that sour expression off your face. Let’s go back to my home and we can talk there,”

“Yeah right, like I’m falling for that,” Charlie scoffed, trying to get from under her strong legs before she decided to make any bolder moves on him.

“Oh, come on! It’s just a little time to cuddle, nothing else,”

“Nolkonoe,” Charlie said, looking at her with a tad bit of disappointment. Sighing, she lay back down across him. Jumping back up, she thought of a good retort. Straddling her legs around his she clamped her legs in crushing his thighs as she locked lips with him again. Putting away she made sure their eyes kept contact before she leaned in again and whispered into his ear. Purposely she pressed her breasts against his chest to maximise her sexuality.

“Well, you haven’t left yet, so you must want something from me,” Nolkonoe gently licked the side of Charlie’s head. Pulling back, she saw his bright red face.

“Well urr…” Charlie trembled. Putting her tail behind his head to make sure he didn’t hurt himself, she shoved him against the stone.

“So~ what do you want,” Nolkonoe muttered, salivating slightly at the sight of such a weak man.

Before she had promised the Chiefess that she wouldn’t try and steal him away, but then again, she was the mother of one of her concubines. Since they also had a somewhat mother-daughter connection as well, she assumed the Chiefess wouldn’t mind if she took a few tastes of him for herself.

“So, what will it be,” Nolkonoe said a bit louder as she began to strip off her top.

“I…”

“Yes?” Nolkonoe said, leaning closer.

“I couldn’t escape due to your fat fucking ass holding me down!” For a moment there was silence as Charlie announced this. He was scared and being scared he wasn’t sure on what to say, so he simply blurted out the truth.

“I see, so you have chosen death,” Nolkonoe said as she raised one of her claws to try and scratch him. Before she could do so though, a flash of black shot past her. Darting down the steps, Nolkonoe watched as the figure of the Chiefess sprinted off with a sacred and confused Charlie in her arms.

“Idiots,” Nolkonoe muttered before lying back down onto the stone.
