Drums softly beat as cheers rang up from around a fire. Another large chunk of flesh from the Goblin Lord which was about the size of a human was hung on a spit over the fire. Huntresses danced around one side of the flames, while the warriors sat in a separate group to the side, some of them also dancing but making sure to stay to their group. Neither group interacted with one another as they kept their groups on either side of the flames.

Ourupadia glanced past the flames, then past the shaking hips of one of the huntress dancers. On the lap of Cluupyte, Charlie sat with his legs folded. She made sure his gaze was fixed forward as several warriors danced before him. Their grass tops fluttered in the subtle wind, combined with the dancing, their breasts were easily exposed to Charlie.

Blushing, he looked down to try and avoid staring at the breast and butts that fluttered in his face. Grabbing his neck, Cluupyte forced Charlie to look up as another dancer came closer to him. The grass of her skirt caressed his face as she shimmied her hips closer and closer to him. Smirking, the dancer dropped down in front of him. Offering out a bowl of goblin meat, her grin only widened as she saw the red flush take over his face as he saw her almost fully exposed breasts.

Gulping down his nervousness, Charlie accepted the plate of meat. Smiling, the warrior leaned forward and placed a soft kiss onto his cheek.

“I…an…ah,” Charlie stuttered as he closed his eyes, as if not seeing her would make all his embarrassment disappear. Grabbing his neck tighter, Cluupyte placed her lips to his ear.

“What do you say to people who offer you food?” Charlie quickly opened his eyes and stared at the dancer. Their eyes locked, and with a nervous smile he muttered.

“Thank you,” The dancer seemed pleased as she quickly leapt back up and continued her dance. Noticing the glare of Ourupadia, the dancers decided it was best to move closer to the fire and further from Charlie.

More goblin meat was placed over the fire by some warriors, while some others began to bring out drums freshly fashioned from some tree trunks they had carved out, and some flayed goblin flesh bound over the top to help make the drum. As they continued to make their energetic beats, the dancers continued, every now and then swoping out to relax and eat while others took up the task of entertaining their group.

Glancing past the dancers, Charlie looked to the huntresses. Unlike her comrades, Ourupadia ignored the dancers and stared directly towards him. Moving, he tried to stand as to go and join her. Grabbing his chest, Cluupyte dragged him back to her lap.

“Don’t, you still haven’t explained your relationship with that girl yet, and I like having you on my lap,” she said, making sure he couldn’t move by wrapping her tail around his ankles.

“Her family were a friend of mine, I’m just as surprised as you that she has connections with the Region Lord,” Charlie said bluntly. Seeing he didn’t wish to dive further, but also wishing to know more, Cluupyte continued.

“I asked, what is your relationship. I can see the look in your eyes, she means more to you than just a friend,” Cluupyte said, staring into his eyes as he stared back.

“She…. She was my first crush… she broke my heart,” Charlie said, hoping this was enough to service her wants. Grinning, Cluupyte placed a kiss onto his cheek.

“Your adorable, you know that?” she placed another kiss onto him before loosening her grip.

“Can I got then?”

“No, I like to have you sit on me,” Cluupyte placed a kiss onto him again. He was a good boy, but she could tell she had struck a nerve with asking about the girl. The solemn look in his eyes as he spoke was enough to ward her from pushing any further. #

“Can I ask you something,” Charlie said, looking across to Ourupadia.

“Anything,”

“Why do the huntresses sit so far away?” Charlie looked back to see the frown on her face.

“Our clans are good friends, but fierce enemies. We warriors and huntresses will gladly help one another, but still we believe that each other’s clans are not needed. Huntresses believe that they could do the work we do, and we believe we could easily take up the work they do. So, to avoid argument we try to stay as far away from one another as possible in these kinds of situations,”

“This kind of situation being?”

“The kind of situation over who’s fault it is that you got attacked and that a huntress died,” Cluupyte said, placing a hand onto his head before ruffling his hair. His hair felt a lot like her fur, and the softness being just as unique.

“Ah,” Charlie groaned, not seeing the point in such a petty argument. Smacking his leg, Cluupyte frowned down at him.

“Idiot, don’t make that face!” She said, leaning down and biting his ear.

“Yes, but…” Looking across to Ourupadia, he saw her face beginning to become a bright red as she stared angrily at him.

“I think I should go and at least say hi. I think Ourupadia wants my attention,” Charlie said, and reluctantly Cluupyte allowed him to stand. Staring, she watched as he walked past the flames and over to an excited Ourupadia.

“Do you think he is lying about his relationship with that girl?” A warrior who was roughly trained in the human language asked Cluupyte.

“I’m not sure, but I, and I assume all of you can as well smell the scent of anguish when it comes to the subject,” They watched as Charlie made his way over to Ourupadia.

Annoyed, but understanding that it was his will, she watched as Charlie sat down next to Ourupadia. Grinning, Ourupadia wrapped her arms around him. Like a child with their favourite toy, she lifted him into the air before plopping him down onto her lap. Placing a flurry of kisses onto his neck and cheeks, she began to wag her tail excitedly.

Nuzzling her face into the back of his neck, she peeked around just enough to catch the eye of Cluupyte. Smirking, she placed a soft kiss onto his cheek, while still keeping her eyes locked onto her. Snarling at the challenge, she stood but the hand of one of her warriors grabbed her arm.

“She isn’t worth it. She just wants a response so that you look like some kind of brute in front of Charlie, and then she can swoop in and act like the doting and protective lover,” as the warrior said this, Ourupadia nibbled at Charlie’s neck so that he turned to look at her.

Grabbing his neck with one of her hands once he had struggled into the position she like, she locked eyes with Cluupyte once again. Licking her lips, she bit onto Charlie’s bottom lip, before then clasping her lips around his. Roughly, she kissed him and forced her tongue into his mouth. Using her tongue to drag his forward, she began to suck on it.

“Ok, maybe you can break an arm or two,” the warrior said, letting go of Cluupyte so that she could go and take revenge against the disgraceful act.

A few huntresses moved away as they watched the lead warrior approach. Sitting down next Ourupadia, she glared over at her. Turning her glare down the Charlie, she quickly converted the look into a smile.

“Don’t mind if I join you, right?” Cluupyte said. Despite her grin, Charlie couldn’t help but feel an ominous feeling.

“Something wrong darling? Do you need your big loving warrior to hold you?” Cluupyte said in a loving tone as she wrapped her arms around him. Yeah, ok, something was wrong.

Snarling, the hairs on Ourupadia’s tail began to stand on end as she wrapped her arms around his waist. Exchanging a growl back, Cluupyte only tightened her grip. As the two snarled and locked fierce glares, Charlie took the opportunity of them being distracted to stand and wonder off. Walking away from the two, he moved to sit on the other side of the bonfire.

“Wait where?” Cluupyte said as both girls only just realised, he had escaped them. Both women’s eyes landed onto him. Glaring down at the both of them, he sighed.

“Look, if me sitting with either of you is going to cause an argument, I’d rather sit here,”

“No, don’t worry, come sit with me,” Cluupyte said, putting her arms out to him in welcome. Ourupadia snarled and stared at Cluupyte. Sighing, Charlie patted next to him.

“Sorry, but is it alright if Ourupadia sits with me? When we return to the tribe, I don’t think we would be able to get much time together considering how much the Chiefess hates her,” Charlie said. With a huff of annoyance, Cluupyte reluctantly translated his words over to Ourupadia.

Grinning, she went onto all fours as she began to approach him. Using her tail, she casually brushed it against the face of the lead warrior in a sign of victory.  Silently, Cluupyte watched As Ourupadia nuzzled her face into the top of his head, while wrapping her tail around his waist. Staring on at the loving scene, she couldn’t help but wonder how long this was going to last.

But then again, Charlie hadn’t given her a clear answer to whether or not he loved the Chiefess, so maybe his sights were set onto Ourupadia. She was clingy, but not so much that she was willing to hurt others just because they sat next to him, unlike the Chiefess of course. Yes, she would get incredibly jealous, but that was better than the Chiefess who would have probably tried to flay them.

Sighing, Cluupyte stared into the flames. Did any of this even matter? Unless Charlie had some plan wrapped away in his mind, she saw no way they were going to be able to defeat such an army. As a warrior, she got the blessing of the Desert Eagles, thus while Charlie was watching the camp, she had used some near by birds to be able to see what the army looked like.

There was little she knew about the outsider weapons, but she had seen artillery cannons before. In total, she saw ten artillery cannons. Before they had seen them when a merchant had come and tried to sell the cannons to the tribe. Clearly, she remembered the explosive screams of the shells as they flew through the air. She remembered the rocks that had been reduced to dust after the shells had landed, she remembered the feeling of fear and dread that each tribe’s person had felt.

In the end, they hadn’t brought the cannons as they didn’t have the money, and the cannons would have been hard to maintain as well as move in the desert sands. Looking across from the fire to Charlie, Cluupyte knew that he most likely hadn’t said anything in an attempt to hide the horrors from them.

His soul was good, as were his intentions, but Cluupyte thought it ironic that Charlie of all people was trying to hide the horrors of war from them. Drinks were passed around by some more dancers, while more goblin meat was either wrapped in large jungle leaves for later or were being placed over the flames.

Staring past the festivities, Cluupyte watched as Charlie yawned. Ourupadia smiled as she allowed him to cuddle into her fur. Getting onto all fours, she began to walk around for a bit before nuzzling down onto a small pile of furs. Still wrapped in her tail, Charlie allowed her to place him down into the furs.

Placing a hand onto his head, she began to gently stroke. Despite the faint flames that flickered across the two, Cluupyte could still see the mouth of Ourupadia as she muttered the words ‘I love you,’ to Charlie. She didn’t know whether or not it was a good thing he didn’t understand their language, as if he did understand, she feared he may have responded to her the same.
