He turns his murderous gaze towards the woman, the last of Orin's subordinates. Her eyes tremble at having been noticed by him. She bites her tongue to force herself to remain in this moment. He throws her compatriots head towards her. However, she is prepared for this, at least a little bit.

The head comes towards her at an incredible speed and she manages to slash downwards, cutting through her friend's head with her greatsword. The two halves of the head fly towards the walls to either side of her.

However, she cannot feel good about her small victory. She doesn't have the time for relief in the slightest. She feels for just an instant, a fist striking her face before her head is frozen solid. Her head flies off her neck.

"Fuck… you!" Ajax screams in English.

At this point, Ajax has had enough of all this. He has all this anger and he needs to let it out. So after his first strike, he punches with his other fist at her shoulder, simultaneously freezing and shattering her left shoulder as well as the attached arm.

He then strikes the right side of her chest next, freezing and shattering her torso completely, leaving only her frigid legs standing for just a moment, before they too tip over and clatter to the floor.

He breathes a few breaths before the adrenaline coursing through his demigod-like body starts to wear off. His perception starts slowing down as his energy cannot be replenished so easily now. He needs to absorb more if he wants to fight at the level he was at earlier.

He wants to cry right now. He hates everything about his life at this moment. He hates himself for being the kind of person that would step into danger to help people he doesn’t know at all.

Why the fuck am I even doing this!? I’m stuck here without a way home and instead of fucking figuring out a way to get back to where I was born, I’m doing stupid shit like this!?

All of his darkest feelings return to him. What if he can't ever return home? What if he dies here? What if he can never see his sister again, his parents? What if he forgets their faces? Their voices? Their smiles?

But, finally he remembers why he's here in the first place. He remembers why he has to do this. What exactly is at stake here?

He is brought back to his mission after seeing an orange light start glowing behind him, filling the hallway with a sinister light. It doesn't seem right at all. He wonders for a moment if he has already failed. Did the fire bomb go off? What if it had? Couldn’t he say that he did his best? Who could blame him for failing? He’s only one man…

He turns behind him to see the hallway covered in flames. However, they're burning slower than they should be.

"I think I've figured out the extent of your power. You're not a noble. I don't know what you are, but a noble isn't that slow. Well… at least a pure blooded one. I don't know how you're able to heal your injuries as you have, but it's ok. By the time I'm done with you, you're going to wish that you were capable of dying."

He hears the voice coming from the center of that fire. In that fire’s center stands a man engulfed in flames. Fire has already burned off his clothes but it hasn’t burned off his skin. He's still alive in the midst of the burning flames. He's still speaking. His burning voice indicates to Ajax that he’s not weakened in the slightest.

Orin had not done the same thing that the others of the Twin Moons had done or planned to do. He knew the proper way to use this alchemical concoction. As a mage, he is able to use the energies that the vials generate within his own body as fuel for a kind of special physical and magical enhancement of his body.

One that far outclasses what is possible through body enhancement alone.

To most non-mages, the vials are nothing but poisons that transform every bit of their body into a jellied gasoline-like substance. Yet to him, it is like an enhancement material. If he can withstand the enhancement, for a few minutes he will have power comparable to that of a lesser noble.

Perhaps a noble who was born between one noble grandparent and three commoner grandparents. He will have speed beyond anything in his wildest dreams for maybe five to seven minutes. After the minutes would pass, Orin should receive a smaller but permanent boost of his body’s ability to gather mana.

During the important minutes, he would even have the ability to emit fire from his body while also withstanding its properties, namely its heat. He would use that power as he saw fit. The most obvious choice would be to work on destroying this building and its inhabitants.

His fire can become hot enough to melt most metals though he might burn through his reserve of power much faster if he uses his fires in that manner right now. Still, he can do it.

All that is standing in his way is this one man, this one monster.

Ajax sees the flames around him. However, he cannot feel their heat due to his naturally immunity to changes in temperature. There is no fire hot enough to melt his body and no ice cold enough to freeze him solid.

Yet, the fire in this hallway is capable of harming everyone in this building.

It’s not over yet. It’s not over until I die.

He has to move quickly. He has to douse the flames. He has to kill this man and extinguish his flames alongside him.
