Chapter 143: Tails

“Yip yip yip.. yip!” (You want me to mate with another wolf? No!) Fang Lin shook his head as he realized what he had to do in order to give the Wolf King grandchildren.

Baiscally, Fang Lin had to mate with another wolf. But with the situation of the Forest of Death, even there were wolves here, all of them will all be undead. None of them will be able to bear a child.

But the more important reason for his refusal was the fact that Fang Lin was not into bestiality! Even if he was in a wolf form right now, he still retained his attraction to beautiful females. He did not feel any attraction to any beast that he met.

The Wolf King nodded, as if it had already anticipated Fang Lin’s reaction. It ignored Fang Lin’s ramblings as it said,

“Do not worry. Once you see your partner, even you will beg for her to stay.” The Wolf King then let out a low howl, as if it was calling out to someone.

“Wooo...”

Moments passed by, and Fang Lin felt unmistakable swishing sounds going to their place. The door opened, and Fang Lin saw the strangest looking wolf he had ever seen.

All the wolves Fang Lin had met prior to this moment were all ferocious and angry looking. Even the Wolf King who looked calm and happy now still emanated a scary vibe. The wolf that he was seeing now though, was the polar opposite.

It stood straight, with its body covered with white fur. Its aura was regal, compared to the Wolf King’s aggressive aura. Each step of the white wolf was calculated and precise. Fang Lin could also feel that this wolf had an ice-cold demeanor, similar to an ice queen.

But what Fang Lin had more intrigued was the fact that it had two tails! Before he could even say a word though, Fang Lin felt something boiling within his bloodline memories.

“Hmm?” The Wolf King noticed that Fang Lin seemed to zone out for a second after seeing the white wolf. The wolf king was happy since it thought that Fang Lin fell for the wolf already. But the truth was in that one second, Fang Lin was affected by his bloodline memories.

His vision was replaced by white as the scenery around him changed.

Fang Lin felt that he was now inside the body of someone. If he had the memories viewed in third person perspective before, he was now seeing the memory in first person perspective.

Fang Lin had no control of the body. He could only see that his body was inside a massive tower in a barren planet. Fang Lin’s body fiddled with a telescope that it used to view the sky. The telescope seemed special, as it was covered with runes and magical formations. Fang Lin put no resistance as the body used its left eye to look into a mysterious object streaking across the night sky.

What Fang Lin saw through the telescope was a massive body of land hurtling through space. The land was so massive that even planets were destroyed when it hits them. At the center of this land was a mountain with its height even greater that the radius of a planet! At the peak of that planet stood a gigantic figure.

This figure was a white wolf with nine tails!

The wolf looked down arrogantly as it stared down at the people that was worshipping it. Its nine tails that were assorted in different colors swished, producing tears in space. The wolf yawned lazily as it shut its eyes sleepily.

While Fang Lin was watching all this, he felt streams of information rushing into his mind. With a jolt, he realized that this wolf was a Godly Divine Beast!

That wolf was called the Nine-tailed Wolf. From its past incarnations, it was said that the Nine-Tailed Wolf had no tails once it was born. Only once it steps into a stage that it gains an extra tail.

But unlike the Multi-Headed Hydra which can comprehend an additional law or dao with each new head, the tails of the Nine-tailed Wolf had a different use.

Each tail that the wolf gains grants it an extremely powerful magical or Daoist spell.

The magic granted by each tail must not be underestimated, since this was a Godly Divine Beast that was being talked about.

These spells represent the extreme pinnacle of the comprehension of the Nine-tailed Wolf, producing spells that were heavenly-defying!

Even the spells comprehended by monstrous talented cultivators pale in comparison to these spells. And what’s more ridiculous was that the Nine-tailed wolf will get it once it steps into each stage!

Each of these spells can be used by the Nine-tailed wolf to turn instantly turn the tables against any of its opponents. Such was the might of the Godly Divine Beast Bloodline!

Once he realized the true nature of the wolf, Fang Lin sighed as he was now sure that the body he was in right now was also a Yin-Yang Beast. This person must have accidentally seen the hurtling piece of land.

Through the telescope, Fang Lin did not only see the fervent worship that the wolf receives, he can also see that the residents of the landmass was comprised of mixed races, with humans, beasts and monsters all living harmoniously.

Fang Lin knew that with the wolf’s power at the Ninth Stage, enforcing co-existence was not an impossibility.

At that point, Fang Lin felt nervous on what his body right now will do against the Nine-tailed wolf. It was not that he was biased against the previous holders of the Yin-Yang Godly Divine Beast Bloodline, but they seem to always find themselves into trouble.

Just like that couple fighting the Multi-Headed Hydra or Fang Lin who was now conversing with a Fifth Stage Undead.

But it seems like this was not the day for that trouble since another massive object appeared in space, hurtling towards the Nine-tailed Wolf’s land.

Fang Lin felt an intense sensation of danger coming from the incoming cosmic body. He felt like his life will just fizzle away if he gets near that. As this object approached the landmass, Fang Lin saw its appearance.

This dangerous object was a dark comet. Instead of the bright light that it emanates from getting near a star, this comet seems to do the opposite, sucking the light out of the surroundings.

Fagn Lin knew that this comet was immediately bad news just from seeing that. And the wolf who was about to get into a collision course with the comet knew it too.

It let out a howl as all of its tails straightened and glowed.

“Awoo!!!!!”

The wolf opened its mouth wide, and a dark ball formed in front of it. That ball warped the space around it, distorting everything near it. Even Fang Lin who was far away, felt the power from this ball.

If that comet had not passed by, Fang Lin will surely be more scared on that dark ball.

Fang Lin knew that this dark ball must be the strongest spell that the wolf can use. Fang Lin nodded, since that comet can only be destroyed by the strongest of all attacks. And all the spells in the Nine-tailed Wolf’s arsenal were all freakishly powerful.

The dark ball was the blasted straight towards the comet.

“Plop!” But instead of seeing the dark comet being blasted into bits, Fang Lin saw that the ball was just absorbed by the dark comet.

If Fang Lin was surprised, the Nine-tailed Wolf was even more so. But before the wolf could prepare itself for another attack, the comet veered its path slightly and just passed above the landmass.

Fang Lin’s expression was aghast when he saw that all the living creatures in the landmass all died and turned into black ash as the comet passed by. These ashes were all absorbed by the comet too.

As for the wolf, it had no time to be enraged as it felt that its own body was disintegrating too. It could only howl in lament as it died, fully absorbed by the dark comet. Fang Ling’s body then hastily packed its things, clearly intent on evacuating the planet.

That was the last thing that Fang Lin saw before his surroundings turned back into normal.

Fang Lin gave the white wolf a complicated look after his realization that it was also a Godly Divine Beast. Fang Lin sighed, clearly knowing the Wolf King’s intent.

“My wolf dad seems to know that this white wolf was Godly Divine Beast. And now, he wants me to make love with it, so that he can have powerful descendants...”

Fang Lin was about to ask something to the Wolf King when he noticed that the white wolf seemed to have zoned out too. It took the white wolf a second before it could regain its composure.

Fang Lin had a cramped smile as he realized that this white wolf must have experienced a bloodline memory on the Yin-Yang Beast.

“S**t! My cover is blown now!”

But before he could even lament, Fang Lin saw the white wolf transforming in front of his eyes. Once he saw the white wolf’s next form, he could only bark out,

“Yip yip yip yip yip yip yip yip!” (D**n! This is your alternate form? You should have just shown it earlier!)
