Chapter 189: Missions

Wang Hao listened to Little Bai’s explanation. After hearing it, instead of having his questions answered, more and more questions just surfaced on his head.

According to Little Bai, the first thing he can remember from his life was when he was being held by Fang Anwei. He only knew what his functions were and his criteria for choosing a new master.

“There were reminders left in my mind, the first one telling me that the Master I should choose must exist as a soul and he/she must have a naturally occurring powerful soul.” Little Bai then said to Wang Hao, “That’s the reason why I did not choose Big Sis Fang Anwei. She still has her physical body, so she was not qualified to be my Master.”

“You were specified to choose a practitioner in soul form? Is that related to my body appearing in your storage?” Wang Hao asked to Little Bai as he gazed at his new body.

“Yes. I was told that my new Master was supposed to use that new body for him/her to roam the Material Universe.”

“Wait, so this body is like a container vessel?”

“Yes Master.” Little Bai respectfully replied. “And in case you did not notice it, this body was made up from an avatar stone.”

“An avatar stone?” Wang Hao’s eyes shot up after hearing that. How could he not? An avatar stone was like a second life for any practitioners!

An avatar stone was a natural born treasure. Its function was quite simple. This stone can mimic the genetic code of any creature that owns it. The stone will then use this genetic code to create a body suited for its owner.

This means that anyone who gets hold of it can create a body with it. Unlike Wang Hao’s cloning, the body created from an Avatar Stone will be way stronger than the original body. And because it has the same construct as the original body, a practitioner’s soul can enter this body and treat it as their own property!

But the best feature of this was that a body made from an avatar stone will regenerate from any kind of damage. As long as the body was not destroyed entirely, it can regenerate back to its peak form. Of course, the higher the damage, the longer and more energy-intensive the regeneration will be.

The avatar stone body can also be strengthened, though it will not be through cultivation. There were body refining techniques that can be used for it.

Little Bai scratched his pudgy head as he continued talking. “According to the directive left to me, my Master has to do some missions in the Dreamworld, Underworld and the Material Universe. But because my Master will only be in soul form, he/she needs to have a physical body to use on travelling the material universe. Once my master has done his part in the material universe, he/she can just leave the physical body and wander as a soul in the Dreamworld and Underworld.”

Wang Hao took a deep breath, realizing what Little Bai meant.

With the avatar stone body, Wang Hao can now make a trip to the Dreamworld, Underworld and the Material Universe everytime he wanted!

If he wants to do something in Planet Thrae, he can just use the avatar stone body to wander there. Then he can just leave it and use his soul form on the Underworld and the Dreamworld.

His avatar stone body will not decay even without a soul, so Wang Hao can feel free to leave it empty while he was wandering in his soul form.

Only when he was at the material universe that he will use this body.

Wang Hao compared his clones to the avatar stone body. At just one look, he knew that the avatar stone body was way more superior to his clones.

Not only he can use it everytime, it can also repair itself from damage! That’s way better than his weak clones!

But instead of feeling happy, Wang Hao gave Little Bai a suspicious look as he asked him,

“From what I can see, your creators must have wanted someone to do things related to the Dreamworld, Underworld and the Material Universe. And from the treasures they gave out, I am sure this is a big issue.”

Wang Hao is no idiot. Someone just created a treasure that can allow a person to travel between the Dreamworld, Underworld and the Material Universe. That creator also left an avatar stone body that will allow a soul to travel the Material Universe. It was obvious that there is a secret related to these places and they need the help of a powerful soul to accomplish it.

Wang Hao then stared at Little Bai deeply as he asked,

“Tell me Little Bai, what is it about the Dreamworld, Underworld and the Material Universe that made them do this?”

Little Bai looked wronged as he shook his head. “I do not know Master! They only left me those directives. They also told me to guide my new master on the missions that he/she will take.”

“Missions huh. Are these missions compulsory?”

Little Bai nodded while saying, “Anyone who becomes my owner have to fulfill the missions required for the owner to do. If my owner refuses, he/she will create bad karma with my creator.”

“Tch. Bad karma.” Wang Hao was not happy upon hearing this. Karma is an abstract concept, and it cannot be affected by Wang Hao’s bloodline abilities. That means he can be damaged by attacks based on the karmic law/dao.

With this weakness, Wang Hao has no choice but to accomplish the missions that will be given to him. He cannot afford to get bad karma, since he had no way to defend himself if this bad karma will be used against him.

“F**k!” Wang Hao stopped himself from cursing when he realized he was duped big time here. Yes, he received a good treasure that will solve most of his problems now. But it was at the expense of him doing missions that will surely be dangerous. He does now know whether he lost or gained something during this transaction.

Wang Hao resigned himself to his fate as he asked Little Bai,

“If I fail a mission, what happens?”

“You will gather bad karma, master.” This was Little Bai’s reply.

“Tch. What if I fulfill a mission. Will I get a reward?”

“Yes you will master. The reward depends on how you fulfilled the mission.”

Wang Hao sighed in relied. At least, Little Bai’s creators were not that stingy. He then asked Little Bai,

“So what is the first mission?”

Little Bai shook his head while saying, “I do not know master. From what I know, it will only appear once it wants to appear. Before that happens, you are free to do your stuff.”

“Ok then.” Wang Hao decided on what he was going to do before he receives the mission.

He will go back to the Underworld, gain a royal position and use his power to stop the invasion to the Planet Thrae. He will then possess the avatar stone body, go back to the Planet Thrae and save Fang Lin and Fang Yu.

Once he fixes those crises, he will spend his time to help Fang Yu and Fang Lin break through to the Second Stage. He was their master, and it was his responsibility to help them at those moments.

As for what he will do after that, it depends if the mission directive appears at that time. If it did not, he will continue adventuring with his disciples. If it did, Wang Hao will waste no time to finish it.

Wang Hao gave everyone in the ship a look as he thought to himself,

“Because of that avatar stone, I can easily go back to the Underworld whenever I wanted it. That means I have more time in the future to bond with my... friends.”

Wang Hao shook his head as he remembered his disciples. They might seem to be blessed by heavens, but compared to Wang Hao, they are still inexperienced.

This seems a little confusing to Wang Hao, since he had this feeling that it was his disciples that will be the center of attention. Them receiving all the good treasures must be the norm. But from the looks of it, Wang Hao was the one with all the luck.

He just shrugged his shoulders thinking that maybe it was not yet the time for his disciples to take the spotlight. As for when it may happen, it depends on their fate already.

“Little Bai, isn’t your master awesome? This is the reason why girls are attracted to me!”

“Praise Master! You are the best!” Little Bai wasted no time on praising Wang Hao. He used everything he had on his vocabulary to praise his Master. Wang Hao slightly blushed, feeling bashful from everything that Little Bai said. But Wang Hao sucked it up, since he loves being praised too.

“...”Fang Anwei gave Wang Hao a cold stare upon seeing him blushing while he was talking mentally to his new treasure. She could see in Wang Hao’s expressions that he was getting close and closer to his treasure. Countless images whirred in Fang Anwei’s mind as she thought,

“Is the portal treasure a girl that will be ensnared by Wang Hao? No good, Wang Hao must be stopped now!”
