Chapter 192: Too!

Wang Hao cursed himself silently when he realized he made a mistake. How could he have forgotten that the other Yama bloodline holders might be monitoring Siwang Wangzi’s condition! Wang Hao thought that Siwang Wangzi’s death in the Dreamworld will make it harder to investigate it. After all, nobody else knew about Siwang Wangzi’s death except him and his companions.

Wang Hao was sure they will not betray him. If they did, their dao heart will sure be impeded. What Wang Hao did not expect was that Siwang Wangzi’s clan members seem to already know about his death!

“We just arrived, yet this scythe man was already here, about to pounce on us. This will be only possible if they knew right away that SIwang Wangzi was dead. But in order for them to know that, they must be monitoring his condition even in the Dreamworld!”

Wang Hao cupped his chin as he thought more.

“With that kind of surveillance, they must have known about Siwang Wangzi’s time of death. What they did not know was who killed him. If they knew about that, this scythe should have arrested me already. But since he did not arrest me, they do not know the face of the killer or the killers.” Wang Hao looked at the man gloomily as he thought,

“This man here was sent to fish out the real culprit! And from the looks of it, he was almost successful!”

The Ghost Lamp was Wang Hao’s second mistake. Because of his backlash earlier, he was not able to sense any kind of energy. This sensory blindness rendered him unable to sense any unique energy hidden on the Ghost Lamp.

He felt cocky with his victory as he let Roxy imprint the Ghost Lamp for herself.

“....”

From the looks of it, they most likely left some divine sense on Siwang Wangzi’s Ghost Lamp. This divine sense could be showing the other bloodline holders about the location of the Ghost Lamp. That could be the only explanation why the man was able to detect the Ghost Lamp hidden on Roxy’s body.

With the Ghost Lamp discovered in Roxy’s possession, all evidences point out that she was related to Siwang Wangzi’s death!

Wang Hao knew that with the killing intent released by the scythe man, they will not be imprisoned. He was sure that they will be killed swiftly, without any trial at all.

Upon seeing the situation turning for the worse, Garu looked at the scythe man, with respect on his voice as he talked to him.

“Sir Lawrence, I think this matter cannot be just divulged by us that quickly. We need to call the proper authorities that can handle this case for us.” Garu did no dare to directly say to Sir Lawrence to stop what he was doing. Saying that to him will just piss him off more.

Garu just indirectly told him that this issue was a big one, and careful steps must be taken to tackle it.

Sir Lawrence gave Garu a calculating look as his scythe hang from his side. Garu gave a silent victory shout to himself as he thought that he successfully convinced him.

But expectations were always way better than reality.

“Scram! Useless hulk!” Sir Lawrence thought nothing of Garu’s words as he blasted Garu away with his scythe. He had a ridiculing expression on his face as he looked at the injured Garu. “You think what I am doing now was wrong? Think again! They killed my relative, a descendant of the Great Yama! That’s a huge crime against the Underworld! With me having the Yama Bloodline too, it’s my responsibility to punish those who act against the Underworld!”

Sir Lawrence gave the other guards an annoyed look as he muttered to them,

“I think you should tend to your leader’s injuries right now. His health is more important than a bunch of criminals here.” Sir Lawrence caressed his scythe slightly as he continued talking. “I hope none of you stops me from enacting the justice that I deserve to administer upon these murderers. If any of you bothers me, you will be next.”

Sir Lawrence’s threat seems to be effective as none of the armored men tried to stand up for Wang Hao and co. As for Garu, his injuries were just too heavy. He wanted to persuade Sir Lawrence against acting on Wang Hao, but his body was in full pain right now.

He could only lie on his left side as he watched the ‘justice’ that Sir Lawrence will show.

“Tell me miss, was it you who killed Siwang Wangzi?” Sir Lawrence assumed the role of a lawyer as he grilled Roxy for answers.

“I did not kill him, I swear!” Roxy’s faint voice laced with panic echoed back. “Even if I met him, I have no way of damaging him!”

“In that case, why is the Ghost Lamp with you?” Sir Lawrence snickered as he roared at Roxy. “You think I’m an idiot? You did not kill Siwang Wangzi, so what? His item was with you, so I guess you were close to the killer! Now tell me who the killer is, and I think I can give you a pardon later.”

“I killed him. Are you happy now?” Wang Hao’s eyes widened as he stared at the one who spoke up. With his bent and his body trembling, Old Billy mustered the strongest voice he can to say his words. “I killed him earlier, and oh it felt really good seeing scum like him dying.”

“Old Billy...” Wang Hao felt himself choking as he felt Old Billy’s full sincerity. He willingly sacrificed himself just to protect Wang Hao from Sir Lawrence.

“You do not have to do this!” These were Wang Hao’s unspoken words to Old Billy. Old Billy realized what Wang Hao was saying. Old Billy just shook his head to him, as if he was saying,

“Let me do this for you. I am your follower, and I was not able to do anything for you. At least let me be of some help to you.”

“Eh?” Sir Lawrence was visibly confused by this situation. He can clearly see that Old Billy was in no way fit to fight Siwang Wangzi. This old man must be using himself as a scapegoat.

“Old man, do not dare to lie to me. You think you can kill Siwang Wangzi with your feeble body? You are just s**tting me!”

But before Siwang Wangzi could lash out to Old Billy, another voice rang out. This one sounded scared and resolved at the same time.

“You think Old Billy had no help on killing Siwang Wangzi? He had me as an accomplice!” Jin’s preposterous words were heard by everyone in the area. He wiped the non-existent sweat on his face as he continued talking.

“Siwang Wangzi had many tempting treasures on him that I and Old Billy could not resist but want it for ourselves. Roxy wanted some too, so she joined us on attacking Siwang Wangzi.”

“Hey!” Roxy’s irritated retort was overshadowed by Sir Lawrences’s booming laughter. He clutched his stomach, clearly finding the whole situation hilarious. After a few minutes, he wiped some of the tears that formed on his eyes as he waved his scythe around. He looked at Old Billy, JIn and Roxy. He gave them a grin as he said,

“I do not believe that you three killed Siwang Wangzi. But since you confessed, I think killing you three will be good punishment for you.” Sir Lawrence was about to start destroying them when Jieshu glided forward. She had a cold look on her face as she said,

“I killed Siwang Wangzi too!”

Jieshu’s bold statement greatly rattled Sir Lawrence. He was still not done recovering when he heard other people confessing too.

“I killed Siwang Wangzi too!” Fang Anwei, Uranus, and Jieshu’s followers all confessed. As for Gabrielle, she gave Wang Hao an apprehensive look as she squeaked about her killing Siwang Wangzi too.

Huo Huangdi just kept his mouth shut the whole time it happened. It was only when Uranus shot him that ‘look’ that he started to confess on killing Siwang Wangzi too.

“What the hell?”

Sir Lawrence immediately knew that he was trapped now. With all of them confessing as Siwang Wangzi’s killer, Sir Lawrence will have no choice but to punish them all. But killing them was no longer feasible, since he could not kill Jieshu or Huo Huangdi. They were simply untouchable due to their status.

With these two implicated on Siwang Wangzi’s death, their own status will also protect other confessers like Old Billy since they were all accomplices of the same crime.

“D**n!” This was all Sir Lawrence could say as he sent a divine sense message on his superior. Now, he could only wait on what they will do next.

It did not take him long before he received his new orders. Sir Lawrence slumped his shoulders in defeat as he heard what he should do next.

“Damn killers! My boss told me to take you all to the trial mountain for your awarding ceremony!” Sir Lawrence looked visibly frustrated as he called a sprit ship to fetch them.

All of them being awarded at the trial mountain just means that they will not be punished for Siwang Wangzi’s death. Sir Lawrence of course knew that the other Yama bloodline holders will not let things just slide past like this. They will still have more chances for revenge in the future.

They only have to wait.

Before he rode the spirit ship, Siwang Wangzi saw Wang Hao giving him a strange smile. Wang Hao gave Sir Lawrence an apologetic look as he said,

“It seems like out of all us, I am the one who has not yet confessed. Since they did it, I should do it too.” Wang Hao gave him a bow as he said,

“I killed Siwang Wangzi.”

Wang Hao then shook his head in panic as he continued talking. “Oh c**p, I forgot to add ‘too’! Let me rephrase what I said.” He gave Sir Lawrence a cheeky smile as he said,

“I killed Siwang Wangzi too!”
