“Where am I?” Fang Lin thought to himself as he felt that he is not on his body right now.
“S**t, I can’t feel my body anymore!” Fang Lin started to panic as he attempted to sense for his missing body.
But even when he tried using any means that he can do in order to sense his body, he still could not feel his connection to his body.
“Am I... dead already?” Upon thinking of this, Fang Lin started to shake his head as he realized that it is impossible for that to happen, as him dying because he just obtained the Heirlooms is a pretty ridiculous way of dying.
“If I am not dead, then where really am I?” Fang Lin thought to himself as he started to look around him.
“Ok, this place actually looks great.”
He could see that he is an entirely new environment, which looked way different from the place that he was just in earlier.
He could see the lush forests, the rich plains, the clear sky and the lofty mountains all surrounding him.
Everything around him felt clean and pure, as if they were untainted by any dirt and impurities.
Fang Lin could not help but be impressed with what he saw.
“This place seems to be like a paradise...” Fang Lin thought to himself as he started roaming around carefully. “Well, I don’t mind staying in this place for a little longer...”
But before Fang Lin could appreciate his surroundings more, he suddenly heard a thunderous roar right above him.
Fang Lin looked up, and there he saw one of the creatures that are supposed to be extremely rare in the Practitioner world.
The creature was over a kilometer long, with its serpentine body soaring through the skies. Its scales were the color of the water, both refreshing and light.
The creature had long, whip-like whisker from its jaw, and its small claw-like hands looked strong enough to kill a normal person.
No matter which way Fang Lin looked at it, he knew that what he was seeing was a dragon!
“How the hell could a dragon be here? I thought they were all hiding in their own hidden realm?” Fang Lin thought to himself as the dragon passed by above him.
Right after the dragon went past by, another figure flew, but this time, it was not a dragon or any kind of beast.
Fang Lin slightly relaxed as he saw that the next flying figure was a human being.
Fang Lin however frowned as he saw the powerful aura being released by this human figure.
It was full of killing intent, and even Fang Lin was feeling some slight trepidation from it.
“From the looks of it, this guy is around the Sixth Stage...” Fang Lin muttered to himself, as he felt that the aura coming from this person was somewhat similar to the Immortals and Gods that he had met earlier.
However, Fang Lin also felt that there are differences from the way that this person moved.
From what Fang Lin knew, Gods and Immortals primarily use their insights on the law and dao in order to move freely through the air.
But the person above Fang Lin seems to be not using any insights at all. It was as if he was only using the power of his body!
“This person is practicing a different cultivation system!” Fang Lin exclaimed to himself as he remembered something that Wang Hao told him before they went to the Underworld.
According to Wang Hao, there are countless of cultivation systems that existed throughout time.
Each of these cultivation systems has their own merits and demerits, and each of them can be trained in order to reach the peak.
However, not all cultivation systems will work that well in the Universe that Fang Lin and Wang Hao were in.
Here in their Universe, only the Immortal Cultivation System and the Godly Ascension System will allow a practitioner to reach the peak.
That was because the environment of their Universe is most suitable for the Immortal Cultivation System and the Godly Ascension System.
As for the other systems like the Nature Power System or the Martial Arts System, they are only partially accepted in this Universe, thus their practitioners can only reach until the Ninth Stage of power.
There are some exceptions, like the Underworld Canon created by the Yama, since this cultivation system is just following the path of both the Immortal Cultivation System and Godly Ascension System.
And if there are accepted and partially accepted systems, there are also cultivation systems that are fiercely rejected by the Universe.
The prime example for this case is the Prime Magus System.
According to Wang Hao, there are 3 Great Cultivation Systems in the Universe countless of eons ago.
These systems are the Immortal Cultivation System, the Godly Ascension System, and the Prime Magus System.
The peak practitioners of the Prime Magus System can wield powerful and catastrophic spells beyond the comprehension of many.
The power of the peak Prime Magi are so great that they are on par with the Tenth Stage Powerhouses of the Immortal Cultivation System and the Godly Ascension System.
This of course led to a golden age of power struggle between three mighty systems.
But for whatever reason there is, the Heavenly Laws of the Universe suddenly changed.
And with that change came the hostility of the whole Universe against the Prime Magus System.
This hostility was so great that in no time at all, every Prime Magus Practitioner were suppressed to the weakest state that they could be in.

Even the peak Prime Magi Practitioners were also weakened greatly.
Because of this sudden weakening, their enemies started attacking the hapless practitioners.
Not only that, but anyone trying to practice the Prime Magus System at that point will find it extremely hard to advance even by just a little.
Combining these two negative states together, and the Prime Magus System died out rather quickly.
“From the looks of it, this person is not cultivating the Prime Magus System...” Fang Lin muttered to himself as he continued on observing the flying person. “Is he practicing a totem-related system, or another version of body-refining system?”
“Well, I can only know that if I try to observe him more.” Fang Lin muttered to himself as he jumped up in the air.
“Huh?” Fang Lin suddenly felt that there was something wrong with the way that he moved right now.
“.......” Fang Lin started to inspect himself, and that was when he realized why he could not sense his body.
“I am inside the body of another person now!!!” Fang Lin thought as he saw that his body was currently 30 feet above the air.
Fang Lin’s original body can jump that high if he exerts enough strength in his body.
But right now, Fang Lin just tried jumping a little, yet he catapulted 30 feet into the air!
That just means that there is something different with his body.
“Boom!” Fang Lin forgot about his aim to observe the person that he saw earlier.
Instead of doing that, Fang Lin decided to inspect his current form first.
When Fang Lin landed from his jump, he immediately rushed towards a nearby river in an attempt to see his appearance.
The water of the river was so clear, so Fang Lin was able to see his appearance.
“...”
Right now, Fang Lin could see a timid-looking face staring back at him.
Fang Lin’s current body looked thin and lean, with its muscles only comparable to a normal person’s.
No matter which way Fang Lin looked at it, his current body seemed to look like a push-over.
“Wait, if this person looks this weak, then how was I able to jump that high earlier?” Fang Lin then shook his head as he realized the thing that he should be worried about right now.
“Before I worry about this body, the thing that I should be worried about is on how I ended up in this situation...” Fang Lin thought to himself as he tried to remember what he did earlier.
Fang Lin remembered himself wielding all 6 Heirlooms, as all of them rushed towards him.
Fang Lin then remembered that he faked a meditative state after that, in order to delay time against Huo Huangdi and Jieshu.
Fang Lin’s memory was cut-off from that point, and the next thing that Fang Lin remembered was him waking up earlier and seeing the dragon.
“That means that my current state should be caused by those Heirlooms...” Fang Lin muttered to himself as he felt that everything is beginning to make sense.
“What I am experiencing right now should be a trial. All of this around me should be an illusion, even the body I am in right now...”
Fang Lin’s eyes lit up as he muttered,
“This whole place is the challenge given when all the Heirlooms are gathered!”
However, Fang Lin’s happiness immediately faded away as he realized what he should do next. Fang Lin then frowned as he let out an annoyed tsk.
“In that case, I can only return to my real body if I manage to pass the trial given by the Heirlooms... But what should I even do now?”
Fang Lin felt that there was really something fishy with the Heirlooms, and his current state right now just proves his suspicion.
“Well, since I am here already, then I have no choice but to proceed...” Fang Lin muttered as he proceeded to wander around.
The dragon and the flying person earlier were already far away, so there is no point for Fang Lin to chase them.
“Rule no. 1: Civilizations usually exist near the rivers, so if I want to see a village or a town nearby, I just have to walk along the riverbank...” Fang Lin thought as he started his trek along the riverbank.
While he was walking, Fang Lin decided to test some more aspects of his current body.
To his dismay, it seems like he was not able to use his divine sense to scour the surroundings.
It was as if his current body is unsuitable for something like divine sense.
As for his special abilities, Fang Lin realized that he can still use them, but instead of Qi or Mana, his current body uses another type of energy which Fang Lin is extremely unfamiliar with.
“This energy must be the product of the cultivation system of this body...” Fang Lin thought to himself as he inspected this newfound energy more.
“If Wang Hao was here, he will surely try to play around with this new energy...”
After 2 hours of endless walking, Fang Lin started to hear some noises of civilization.
Fang Lin could hear the voices of some people, the loud noises of the animals, and the constant sound of working equipment.
Fang Lin let out a sigh of relief as he started to head towards the source of the sounds. His feet left deep footprints on the sand as he slowly walked his way through the thick vegetation.
“A trial within a trial... Is this a trialception?”
