Chapter 1: The coming of lust

1. I reincarnated as Seol Jihu

When he was young, he thought the whole world was green.  That people were green, roads were the cool color of grass, animals were dark green, and the sky was light green.  Green colors danced no matter where he looked.

 One memory he had from his childhood was when he went to the zoo with his family.  Instead of walking around and observing the enclosures, they joined a safari, where visitors rode buses to tour an artificial desert.  Paper bags full of raw meat hung over the side of the bus.

 Her older brother sat on the window seat, and her two-year-old sister sat on her mother's lap.  He remembered being a little depressed, unable to sit together.

 The bus stopped.  The wild animals resting around the field rushed towards the bus.  The green animals entered into a fierce competition for food.

 But then.

 A single animal.  Only one.  He was atop a rock like an emperor, reflecting bright sunlight.

 Unlike any other animal he had ever seen, this animal was not green.

 Did you feel his gaze?  The beast looked into the boy's eyes.  As if delighted, the boy became afraid.  He looked away instinctively and stopped breathing.  Her hands and body were shaking, and her heart was beating wildly.

 Even though he was swallowed by terror that no boy his age would be able to resist, the boy raised a question.

 Why wasn't that animal green?

 The boy took a deep breath and looked out the window again.  It was then.

 Pang!

 The window shook violently.  The beast was far away, but it approached the bus before the boy noticed.  But why was he ignoring the food hanging from the bus and stuck to the window?

 The beast opened its mouth and revealed its fearsome teeth.  He repeatedly tried to chew through the window.

 The boy did not understand what had happened.  Still, he flinched and backed away.

 I have to run.

 Why doesn't the bus go?

 Just as the boy was about to burst into tears, a warm hand carefully covered his eyes.

 "It must have scared you a lot."

 " !!! "

 Paralyzed for a moment, as if he had received an electric shock.  Memories he didn't even know existed surfaced, as if a lock had opened in his mind to reveal what was always there, but for some reason he had forgotten it.

 The voice was as soft as a spring breeze.  Just that single sentence made the boy feel relaxed and relieved.  The boy jumped into the woman's embrace without even checking who she was.

 “There, there, it's okay.  The scary lion is not here anymore... Ah, the bus is moving again.”

 The woman gently patted the boy's back, and his choking breaths eased.  Just then the boy lifted his head to take a look.

 So beautiful.

"Eh?"

 Suddenly, the woman's hands stopped.  She approached the boy, studying him carefully.  Then, she gasped in surprise.

 "Oh my god... Really... his eyes are so beautiful."

 "My eyes?"

 “Yes, they are beautiful.  In the seven colors of the rainbow.”

 The boy looked at the woman with indiscriminate curiosity and fascination, but she just smiled back.  Then, she let out a sigh, as if she thought something was a great loss.

 "If you were a little older... No, maybe it's better that you grow up not knowing."

 Before long, the safari tour was over.  The tourists rose one by one, but the boy showed no sign of leaving.  The woman also hesitated, as if she wasn't ready to give up.

 The woman whispered in the boy's ear.

 "What is your name?"

 “J-Jihu…”

 “Jihu?  It is a beautiful name."

 She then met the blushing boy's gaze.

 "Hey, when you grow up a little... and we somehow meet by coincidence, will you come to me?"

 "For you, noona?"

 "Yes, I'll be there if you need my help."

 Although the boy couldn't understand what she meant due to too many memories making his mind fuzzy, not wanting her to go, he hugged her tighter.

 "No! Take me with you, noona.... To Paradise!"

 "W-What! How did you...."

 Shocked not serious enough to describe how the woman felt, a mixture of expressions crossed her face, until the sound of her mother and younger sister looking for him rang out, pulling her out of her thoughts.

 Then the woman's eyes gleamed for a moment, staring at him, until a frustrated expression appeared on her beautiful face, then she approached and a warm and soft sensation touched the boy's forehead before disappearing.

 "I don't know how you know about this, but let's meet again, little prince."

 Smiling happily, the boy extends his little finger.

 "Promise?"

 "Promise."

 When the boy held his mother's hand and got off the bus, he looked back longingly.  The woman was smiling brightly and waving her hand until the boy disappeared.

 "What's going on here.... I can't see his fate.... Even though he's just a human child."

 Holding her hands over her chest, for the first time in her life, the woman felt insecure.

 She may not have noticed but her face was slightly flushed, even though she didn't know what the future held, she had an expectant look on her face, knowing she would have her answers when she met him again.

 .

 While the boy now at his home, lying in bed, looked up at the ceiling with a dazed look.

 "I reincarnated as Seol Jihu."
