It was not easy to attend to the blind master, and Vincent was too wary for now. Paula was reportedly the tenth person to be hired after he had been stuck in a room. At first, they agreed, but most of them couldn’t work long and quit or suddenly disappeared.

Aside from suddenly disappearing, Paula thought she understood why they couldn’t hold out for a long time. Perhaps because he was blind, he was sensitive to every sound in the world, and as sharp as that.

And he was stuck on the bed. He was confined to the bed except for brief movements when needed. In particular, when someone came in, he quickly covered himself with a sheet.

In addition, he had a bad temper, so everything she brought was turned upside down. At the same time, when he felt she was moving even a little, he curled up in a sheet and hid himself.

That’s a real cat.

Fortunately, Vincent had only a limited time with her, and that was when the butler came. The butler was the old gentleman who brought Paula. He visited Vincent’s room once a day, during which time the two seemed to be having a pretty serious conversation. At that time, Vincent did not roll over the sheet and showed a rather serious attitude. Every time she sneaked a peek, Paula wondered if he was originally such a serious and passionate person.

Then what’s the point of all this?

The plate that flew to the side of her face crashed into the wall and broke. Now, she was tired of looking back and checking.

“Get out.”

Paula sighed deeply and closed her eyes tightly. Vincent shrugged, but his eyes were wide open.

“I guess you don’t like me.”

“Yes, I don’t like you at all. So get out.”

“What’s wrong with me? If you tell me, I will fix it.”

“From one to ten. Everything.”

That’s not good.

“I will do my best to make you like me.”

“You don’t have to, so get out of my sight.”

Oh, I want to hit you.

A child who doesn’t listen needs to get a good night’s sleep. Paula glanced at V’ncent’s head.

Can’t I just hit him once?

“What are you thinking?”

“…”

“Don’t think about fooling around. I will kill you.”

You’re sensitive about that.

She shrugged her shoulders and turned around to sort out the broken dish.

What a waste.

It would have been quite expensive if it had been sold in the marketplace. With a sense of regret, she smacked her lips and collected the broken plates.

Yes, let’s clean up the sheets first, aside from the meal.

“Master, I have to change the sheets.”

“Don’t come near me.”

“If you could step aside for a moment…”

It was the moment she approached him to remove the sheets. Something flew in and hit her forehead. She was briefly distracted by the intense shock. When she straightened up her staggering body, she saw what hit her forehead and fell. It was a table clock.

When she picked up the watch and checked it, the hour hand had stopped and was broken.

Crazy.

“If you don’t like it, you can say no. Why are you being so dangerous…?”

“Why, are you afraid of dying? No one cares if you die anyway.”

Paula raised her gaze at the table clock and looked back at him. Vincent was rarely seen and looked nonchalant even though he threw things at her.

No, he was laughing at her.

“People like you are obvious. The tricks, who will do anything for you if you give them money. Dirty things crazy about money. I wonder if such people are afraid of death. I’m sure you’re here for money, too. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to accept a stranger’s suggestion easily.”

“…”

“Do you know why they hired you? Because you’re so capable? Because you’re reliable? No, none. Because it doesn’t matter if I kill you. If you know how to please others, you are useful enough, and if you are too bothersome, there’s nothing wrong with killing you. That’s you.”

His words pierced her heart like a blade. The poked ones cruelly mutilated the insides. How could he be so mean? How can you say such a harsh thing? Nevertheless, tears did not come out because these were familiar words.

Criticism is easy. It was easy to criticize the other person as if breathing, and to be comforted by that.

People did that to her.

Sometimes her father and her only sister did the same. They raised their dignity by blaming her, and that was the value of her existence.

So, she wasn’t hurt.

It didn’t hurt more than her father beat her up.

Of course, it’s another matter to feel bad.

“It was really mean.”

“What?”

“What a mess I have with such a great master.”

Vincent’s face flushed at her words. It was pathetic to stare into the air.

He chanted with clenched teeth.

“You. Watch your mouth.”

“To tell you one more thing, that’s exactly right. I’m crazy about money, and it is everything.”

“What?”

“Like the master said, you don’t care if I die, and even if I suddenly disappear, no one will ever come to find me. Even if the master orders me to die right now, I cannot resist. So I don’t have to be afraid. If you still don’t like me, just kill me. And if you’re going to kill me, I’d appreciate it if you kill me at once. It’s cleaner than torture. Oh, even if I die, no one will come to avenge me, so rest assured. You have found the right person.”

“…”

He finally shut up. Surprise reflected for a moment in his eyes, staring into the air. It was a short moment. As Paula approached her again, he immediately showed his vigilance.

“Then, master.”

She didn’t care as he fumbled around with his hands as if looking for something to throw.

He had nothing more to throw anyway.

She stopped in front of the bed to take advantage of his embarrassment.

“Excuse me.”

Then she grabbed the sheet and pulled it.

He couldn’t utter a groan and rolled on the bed. Soon after, Vincent fell under the bed with a thud.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m going to change the sheets, master.”

As he was about to say something, she pushed him and pulled out the rest of the sheet. And she changed it to a new sheet that she had prepared.

She pretended she didn’t hear him screaming.

Next, sitting in front of him as he fumbled on the floor, she pulled down his pyjamas buttons. Vincent, noticing it, reached out to stop her action. She skillfully took his hand, lowered it to the floor, and pressed it with her knees.

“What are you doing? Don’t touch me!”

“Why? Well, you have a great body.”

“What?”

Dazed for a while, he resisted by twisting his whole body when she tried to take off all the buttons of his pyjamas and take them off. His body lost its balance and tilted to the floor due to a stronger force than she thought. As a result, he was free with one hand, grabbed her head, and pushed her. But she didn’t lose either.

Her head was pushed back, but she held on without letting go of the pyjamas she was holding on to. She pressed his hand harder with her knee to somehow pull it out and twisted her body, trying to take off his pyjamas. The remaining hands on her knees were twisted around, and her body shook. It was chaotic.

After such a scuffle, she threw his pajamas back behind his shoulder while he was off guard for a while.

It’s been about a year since he lost his eyesight. They said he was stuck in a room and didn’t eat properly for about half a year.

He was too skinny.

There was no flesh on the exposed body.

His ribs were clearly visible. He also lost a lot of muscles. It didn’t look bad on the outside with a physique, but when she took it off, it looked pitiful. Sometimes the dry feel of his arm when she grabbed it made her think it was nothing but bones, but she didn’t know he was this skinny. There were also minor bruises here and there.

Come to think of it, the face she saw up close was also too thin and pale. She didn’t know if he couldn’t sleep properly, but it felt empty under his eyes. There was no focus on the murky emerald eyes, and the cracked and chapped lips let out a heavy, difficult breath.

If you touch him, he’s going to break.

Even though he was obviously an adult man, she felt that way.

She felt bad.

So she brushed his cheek without realizing it. He shuddered and turned away from her touch.

Paula lowered her eyes slightly and closed her mouth.

It was a shame.

She removed her hand while watching him like that.

She took off her knee that was pressing his hand, and pushed his shoulder back. As soon as his body fell weakly, she peeled off his pants.

She will leave his underpants alone.

She got up with his dirty pyjamas and picked up a new one from the closet. He crouched as much as he could with his skinny body wrapped in his arms. His back was sticking out, and it was unsightly.

“If you want to keep wearing stinky clothes, there is nothing I can do, but I hope you will understand the deep desire to always maintain a clean appearance as a servant of the master. And I would appreciate it if you could stretch out your arms so I can put you on new clothes.”

“I’m going to kill you.”

“Yes. Stretch your arms up.”

She grabbed his dry arms. He held on as if he was not going to stretch out, but his strength was weak. She didn’t know a man’s power would be this weak. It seemed to show his life as he was confined to the room.

Instead of forcing his arm to lift, she hung a new pyjama on her wrist. Then he stammered and began to put on his pyjamas. Maybe he was ashamed to be [email protected] Pretending not to know, she touched his clothes the way he dressed so they would not be difficult to wear.

“Here are your pants. And underpants.”

“…”

There was no answer back.

She didn’t even expect it anyway.

She grabbed the clothes left in her hand and headed to bed. She took off the pillowcase and changed the sheets. Looking at the clean bed, she was proud and looked back at Vincent. Fortunately, he also changed his pants.

She approached him with a pleased face at his neat appearance. Vincent was trying to get up with his hands on the floor. When she reached out to help him, he hit her hard. Then he fumbled into the air and crawled to the bed by himself.

Stubborn

“Master, you have to go to the right.”

“Shut up.”

Even though he said so, he carefully turned to the right, and picked up his clothes.

But why was this the only thing?

What about his underwear?

“Master, you have to change your underwear, too.”

Vincent snuggled into bed when she said that…

She lost her words when she saw him crouching in a corner with a new sheet covered all over his head. Just in case, she approached him and smelled him, and there was an unpleasant smell.

Can it be…?

“Didn’t you change your underwear?”

“Get out.”

“No, it’s dirty. Excuse me, master.”

As soon as she leaned down, the sheet fluttered, and something popped out of it.

It was the gun that touched her forehead.

She was so surprised that she stopped immediately and thought he was pulling the trigger.
