(Zeel's POV)

I stirred awake the following morning, I noticed my body was heavier than it should be. Looking down, I see Elizabeth and Alice wrapped around my body like the koala bears they were.

We haven't been having sex a lot since the training started, I think the girls are just glad they could get a break from my growing libido these days.

Maybe Alice alone could not manage my sexual tendencies, but with Elizabeth joining, we somehow manage to pull through.

After a while, the intense feelings I had for Alice faded away, my emotions settled to somewhere around 'I like you a lot' and 'I don't want to lose you'. I felt as if for the first time I genuinely liked her as a person, but not to the point of 'true love' as I have read in the ancient novels.

It was never a feeling like 'I'd die for you, babe'.

Nope!

'You can go and die yourself' is more my take on it. I have come to respect her as a pseudo-equal, and hence give equal importance to her decisions concerning the plans I can be flexible with. That's why I think she tries so hard to train in secret since she doesn't wanna drag my hind legs.

I bet she believes we have some sort of big, mega mission for traveling the multiverse, but really it's just 50% me trying to find my family and the next 50% is me running from whatever Cosmic Force was trying to pit me.

Well, Cosmic Force amongst other things, I made a lot of enemies in my time.

With the technology in my world, the Homo-Superior Race was all-powerful and even Special Abilities were useless. We couldn't do anything with our own ability that we could not do with Technology.

However, now I am weak without the technology to fuel my pride. I know at least a dozen powerhouses that would give anything to find my location in the Multiverse.

I was not the first in my Universe to invent Multiversal Travel, but I was the first to do so without being detected by any being – omnipotent or not.

I knew for a fact that Homo-Superiors were now extinct, but that didn't mean that other races could not escape our impending doom.

See even though I developed a Cosmic Wormhole Multiversal Travel, I didn't know how to even begin mapping the multiverse, pinpointing where we could go. Alice doesn't realize it but what we are doing is very dangerous, there are some parts of the multiverse someone should never go to.

Other parts of the multiverse cannot be accessed; some parts are too powerful for us to ever step foot. So far we have just been jumping between Universes that are close in frequency threshold, basically, sister worlds that have similar technological and environmental circumstances.

I have recently become intrigued by seeing what I could achieve without the use of primitive technology. In all honesty, it is not just a hobby, but more along the lines of necessary for survival. The nanites in the bodies of Alice and I always act as a limiter so we don't overexert ourselves.

It took a while to notice but after the battle against Alice a couple of days ago, I noticed the immediate problem. The problem had been there since the beginning, but it has accelerated as of late.

When Hannu transferred his power to Alice and me, the power adjusted to our bodies quickly – a bit too quickly. The power is too compatible with our physique and respective abilities.

Sometimes being too compatible is as bad as not compatible at all. Especially, with the chains binding my soul, I was in a much more dire situation than I would care to admit.

During the battle with Alice, John said he noticed a white flame with flashes of red surrounding our bodies like an aura shield. This is a normal occurrence when the nanites remove all limiters from our bodies allowing us to fight with our very lives on the line.

We literally begin burning our life force to fight.

That's where the problem begins when a human removes all limiters from their bodies, they basically fight using their vitality, overworking the brain, muscles being torn over and over again, extreme exhaustion to the point of near-death – of course, Alice and I are stronger than normal humans by a wide margin.

Still, with all our limiters removed, we should have been pushed beyond our limits, at the very least a coma for a couple of weeks is expected.

But we woke up the following morning feeling as if nothing was wrong apart from a few minor headaches. I was too preoccupied with the Garde to notice this incongruity. Figured it out yet? The reason we weren't in a coma after removing our limiters was that we were burning our excess energy.

That's when I realized the situation had become dire. If we had such huge power within our enhanced bodies, we would have died from an internal explosion long ago since our bodies cannot contain such power.

That meant that the power was being drawn away at the rate our bodies produced it, something is preserving our lives or we would have just imploded without being the wiser.

My mother always said 'Never to look a gifted horse in the mouth' but I didn't have to since I already suspected the horse's age since the beginning.

I had an inkling of who …. Or rather what was helping us by siphoning the excess energy from our bodies.

This was the reason for my cautious attitude, even with Alice.

Alice and I possess more power than we could safely wield, more than our bodies could contain. To live we have to move beyond our mortal bondage – basically, we need a suitable path of evolution.

There are countless paths toward evolution, but picking familiar ones could make my whereabouts traceable. I had selected Godhood as our target goal of evolution but in every multiverse we visited so far, they were just nothing but legends and myths.

So what made them go extinct? That's a question for another time.

Have you ever wondered what goes through my head as I interact with the groups around me? Now here is your chance to see into my pique human mind.

After getting out of bed, showering, and getting dressed. I head out to the central hub, that's where all the magic happens, hacking, storing, and everything else. My own little manipulation headquarters, where the world could be bent to my will.

Of course, I can just use my TechnoMancy to use the computers but I feel cooler sitting behind a table, as I spin around slowly like a James-Bond-type introduction.

I sat there for the next hour practicing the words I'd say when the group came into the hub. Alice came up with the idea a couple of years ago because I would say undesirable things like 'you're probably all gonna die, your mom is cheating on your dad, your daughter fucked your husband'.

Even if they were the truth, Alice said I should be more considerate of what I say.

Sigh, the things we do for love. Number 6 aka Maren aka Elizabeth is a new addition to both of us. At first, I was attracted to her but didn't want to get involved with anyone other than Alice, but Alice encouraged it more than anyone else.

That's how our duo became a trio, I think she did it because she knew I would probably take us from this universe as soon as I had enough energy to power our Mbeamers. Now that I have Elizabeth, it forces us to see things through until the end because she wouldn't leave otherwise.

Unlike Alice, Elizabeth is my partial soulmate so unknown to Alice, Elizabeth holds a higher level of importance than herself.

Though, if I had to admit, I would sacrifice Elizabeth to save Alice in a heartbeat, even if it would result in a backlash to my already fragile soul force.

I also have my own reasons for helping everyone, I am attuned to all types of energy and while examining the numbers, I could tell that while their powers are genetic, the power source is foreign – meaning the Garde draw their energy from a being who shares it with them willingly.

That was a surprising realization for me as I had encountered a similar kind of energy in the past, which means this Planet Lorien is something really special. So I want to go there for a visit and investigate further for everyone's sake – mostly my own.

Nothing is more dangerous than an unknown, even if it is helping you at the moment.

After an hour of sitting, the team came into the room and each took their seats at their respective numbers, everyone looking like true soldiers now after facing my 'death' suggestion constantly last night.

Though I fear it may have done some lasting trauma if Ella's trembling was any indication.
