Chapter 2: Recultivate

Avery was wondering where the man named Rick brought him. He tried to open the carriage but it doesn't flinch which made him irritated. In addition not being able to use his power made him more frustrated.

He was named 'Crimson Witch' for nothing because he was the most powerful of all the magicians. And due to his personality of not being friendly, he was named for that title. He feels humiliated because the only thing that makes him strong and people fear him is now gone.

He decided to just sit in the crampy carriage and wait until they reach their destination. It hasn't been 5 minutes since he feels boredom. He can't even rest well because the carriage has no blankets only a spacious floor and the road was bumpy which makes his butt hurt while sitting on the floor.

"I will make sure to pay you back for dragging me here!" he said angrily while enduring the pain in his butt.

After another 10 minutes the carriage stop moving and he hears the people talking outside. He immediately got up and tried to listen to what they were discussing.

"Tsk! Those bandits are really a pain in the ass!" a young man said.

"Yeah! Because of them, we're now making a long detour to reach the City!" the other man said with irritation.

"Hmph, well just travel for another day and we'll be able to reach the capital and sell these slaves!" the young man retorted to the other man.

When he heard the word 'slaves' it made him raise his right eyebrows and felt anger toward this group of people.

"How dare them to sell me as a slave! Didn't they know who I am?!" Avery said angrily.

He started shouting to let him go and knocking heavily on the carriage to the point that his palm is turning red from slamming it hard.

"Quiet!" Rick shouted from the outside and opened the door in the carriage.

"Why are you so rebellious!? You should be thankful I made you stay here alone and not with the others!" Rick angrily said.

"Thankful?! How can I be thankful when there are no other things in this crampy vehicle! I can't even rest because it keeps bumping!" he annoyingly said to Rick.

"Then I will order them to bring what you request," Rick patiently said.

"You should! How dare you make my body tired! Do you even know who I am?!" he said angrily.

Rick just looks at him weirdly as if he is a crazy person.

"What are you looking at?!" he asked irritatingly.

"Nevermind," Rick said and was about to go out when Avery stopped him.

"Wait! Where are you going?!" he asked while grabbing his big hand.

"Isn't it obvious?! To do what you request," Rick answered him and finally got out of the carriage. It just made Avery twitch his mouth from irritation.

"How dare him to treat me like that!" he mumbled to himself. He waited for another minute for someone to come in his place. Thankfully, Rick came back with other people carrying the things he requested.

When they came and see his otherworldly beauty, they were stunned for a second. It was their first time being mesmerized by someone. They just came back from reality because of the interruption of their boss. They were embarrassed and continued to arrange the things inside the carriage and finally leave while talking to each other.

"Then I will leave now," Rick said and was about to go out when Avery called him again.

"Hey! Wait! We're not done talking!" he commanded while stopping him from going outside. Rick looked at him for a minute and decided to stay a little longer.

"What do you want? I already gave it to you!" Rick irritatingly said.

"What! This is just temporary! What I'm asking you is why did you drag me here!? And your planning to sell me as a slave?" Avery asked angrily.

"Well because I found you wandering aimlessly so I drag you here to give you home," Rick answered patiently. Rick himself can't believe he would have the patience to talk to this little one.

"What?! You're giving me home? By selling me?! No! I won't allow that! I am not a slave!" Avery angrily raised his voice. He won't allow this man to make him a slave. Him, born to be the one being served by others won't allow himself to serve anyone!

"I only serve myself! I won't serve anyone! You will regret selling me! You bastard!" he said angrily and pointed his finger at Rick.

Rick glared at him for disrespecting him, in his entire life when he started as a slave trader he was not humiliated as this little one do.

"It's safer than you being attacked by those people who don't know morals!" Rick retorted to him. Avery just look at him shockingly, he did not know that there are still people who think this way!

"Do you even know what you're talking about!" Avery asked while looking at Rick in disbelief.

"Yes, I'm serious! So you better behave until we reach the city or else you won't like what I'm gonna do to you," Rick said warning him, and finally left the carriage.

"Arghhh.. how can you do this to me! I am a great magician! How dare you humiliate me this way! I'm not some products you could sell! This is human trafficking! You are violating human rights!" Avery shouted while banging the door.

But the people outside didn't listen to his childish burst. It just made Avery angrier at these people and angry at himself because if he did not just exhaust his body during the fight, then he won't be in this kind of situation where he can't use his power.

"Huh! just you wait! I will pay you 100 times!" he said irritatingly and sat down on the cushion that's been brought inside his carriage.

When he finally sit down he was able to recall what kind of world he now resides in. It's like in the medieval era when cars, railroads, or high technology does not exist. He is still clueless about this new world, plus the thing that he can't use his chaos power only adds to the wound of his pride. 

He can't accept it! To be reduced to something like a powerless person that he disliked the most. He can't think properly due to the situation he is facing right now. He started to breathe irregularly, started to think negatively only to panic which is not good because it could only affect his mental and physical state.

He was breathing heavily and can't help but hold his chest and tried to call someone but he can't. There's no voice coming to his mouth, only a heavy sigh could be produced from his mouth trying to breathe in and out. 

"Uhhhggg… huff.." he muttered.

And when he was about to lose his consciousness, his power suddenly reacted and his body glows a bright red light. He didn't know what is happening but the only thing he knows was that the power from his body are coming back and helping his body to stabilize.

After his body stabilizes, he went silent for a moment. Trying to process what just happen to him. But when he realized that his power came back made him happy. He tried to use his power to manipulate things but… his power is so weak! It can't even lift a small thing.

"What a pain!" he uttered while upset about his current power. 

It made him pout his kissable lips because he really hates to cultivate. Back in his world, his grandfather would force him to cultivate and he would be grounded for a week if he doesn't obey his grandfather's order. And thinking about his grandpa, only made him miss his grandpa. 

Even if he had an arrogant personality but when it comes to his grandfather, he always behaved so his grandpa won't be angry with him. The only time he lies to his grandpa is when he started to search for information for the god of chaos and continues to use the power that he is forbidden to use which is the chaos power.

He then decides to cultivate again his aether magic which only the Grimaldi Family can use as it would be difficult to cultivate his chaos power. The hidden power that his grandpa forbid him to use.

"This would take a while." he mumbled and position himself to cultivate.
