Chapter 872 – Chapter 862: The Second Wall
Puff!
The head of a rock lizard was cut off and its body fell down.
Dudian looked around and quickly squatted down. He cut open the body of the rock lizard and took out the ‘soul guide bottle’. It was a special bottle that could be used to get parasitic soul worms from monsters in the wilderness, there was the smell of parasitic soul worms at the bottom of the bottle. He inserted the mouth of the bottle into the neck of the rock lizard. Blood flowed. After half a minute there was no movement from the body of the rock lizard.
Dudian sighed. He knew that the rock lizard was not a monster. He took back the bottle and continued to move forward.
He had never seen most of the monsters in the Abyss. He could only rely on the ‘soul guide bottle’to identify which one was a monster. However he didn’t kill many of them, moreover, some of the monsters were obviously ordinary monsters, so he did not bother to test them. Only some of the more cunning monsters with special abilities would he test them.
For example, the rock lizard had disguised itself as a rock and lurked around him, but he did not notice it at all. It showed how strong its camouflage ability was. Fortunately, its strength was average, only at the level of a pioneer.., so it didn’t cause any harm to him.
“The magic mark on the chest of the splitter is gone. There is only an empty magic nest left. Fortunately, the splitter’s ability can still be used. I don’t know if the splitter’s ability will be cut off after the right arm is cut off. After all, the magic mark has been swallowed by that thing…”Dudian thought about his own situation, he was a bit upset as he thought about his own situation. The change in his right arm made him feel uneasy. If he didn’t consider the possibility that the splitter’s ability would be cut off after the right arm was cut off, he would have taken action long ago.
In the past two days, he saw that the frozen flesh within half a centimeter of the golden sarcoma in his right arm had turned into a faint golden color. It was obvious that the golden sarcoma had infected him.
When the golden color spread to his body, he felt that his brain might be invaded again.
This made him very depressed. Although the increase in the strength of his right arm had given him another card, but if he could give up the danger in his body, he would rather not have this card. Unfortunately, it was not up to him.
After moving 300 miles horizontally, Dudian continued to go north. Although the journey was boring, but he had to be very careful.
Puff!
Dudian suddenly attacked and killed a monster that looked like a cow or a mouse. He took out the ‘soul guide bottle’and aimed at its broken neck. Ten seconds later, Dudian saw that there was a slight bulge on the back of this strange monster, it seemed that something was swimming over. His eyes lit up. He used his X-ray vision and saw that it was a small blood-red worm. It was the parasitic soul worm!
Soon, the parasitic soul worm drilled into the ‘soul guide bottle’. When Dudian screwed the cap on the bottle, the blood-red worm seemed to realize that it had fallen into a trap. It struggled violently in the bottle and knocked into the bottle.
Dudian put it into his backpack and quickly left the place with Aisha. He came to a messy stone pile. He sat on a piece of stone that looked like concrete. He looked at the surrounding environment and confirmed that it was safe, he asked Aisha to guard him. Then he took out the syringe and the corresponding props from the backpack. He wanted to verify whether the parasitic soul worm could still be used as nutrients for his body.
Soon, the blood-colored worm inside the soul guide bottle was sucked into the syringe. Dudian took off his armor and lifted his shirt. He looked at the faint scar in the middle of his chest, through x-ray vision he could see that there was a bubble-like thing inside. The surface of the bubble-like demon nest was covered with a layer of membrane. However, there were many fine hair-like blood vessels around the bubble-like demon nest. In a sense.., his limbs didn’t belong to the category of human structure.
Dudian took a deep breath and injected the parasitic soul worm into the nest.
Dark red mucus quickly filled the nest. From the surface it looked like there was a red birthmark. It was very soft and bulging.
Dudian stared at it and felt its changes.
Time passed by but the burning sensation didn’t appear. Dudian looked at the parasitic soul worm mucus in the nest. His face slowly sank. He continued to wait for more than ten minutes but there was no change. He put away the syringe and soul guide bottle. He put on clothes and armor, “Do I have to inject it into the golden sarcoma in order to have an effect?”
“The golden sarcoma will be removed sooner or later. If it is removed then the splitter’s magic marks will be gone. Won’t my power decline to the bottom?”
He sighed in his heart. If he encountered such a situation in the giant wall then he would be able to make a choice. He wouldn’t be in such a dilemma. But in this dangerous abyss he wasn’t willing to give up his right arm, he didn’t want to take the risk of losing the magic marks of the splitter. It meant that he would lose his ability to see through things. He would lose his ability to sense heat and his magic body. At that time he wouldn’t be as good as an ordinary pioneer.
Dudian felt frustrated and helpless as he didn’t want to cut out the golden sarcoma.
Suddenly he thought of the abyss that he had met before, “If it isn’t the Kingdom of God then the other side is using the common language of the giant wall. It should be a very powerful wall. I don’t know if it is divided into different levels. In any case, if we can find a wall and sneak in, it will be safer than in the abyss. Then we can take the opportunity to find out the situation. We can find other legendary magic marks and get rid of the sarcoma. Even if we lose the splitter’s magic marks there will be other legendary magic marks to replace it.”
It was the worst-case scenario, but compared to other options, it was the best solution at the moment.
Although he was very hesitant to replace the splitter’s magic marks, there was nothing he could do about it. With the rate at which the golden sarcoma was spreading, it would probably spread out from his right arm in less than four to five days, at that time, he would face even more danger and headaches.
If time was not tight then he would be able to return to Sylvia where he could at least guarantee that he would get a legendary parasitic soul worm.
“If I replace the magic marks then I will fall from the master level. The limit of a legendary magic mark is the inner wasteland level. Only a deified legendary can bear the body of a master. I don’t know what level the magic marks of the Abyss Walker are but I think there should be a higher existence above the legendary level…”Dudian sighed in his heart, eating the flesh of the Aragami was a wrong choice, but now he had to pay the price for it.

He stood up. Although he had made a decision, but it was still unknown if he could find the wall. After all, the area where the Abyss Walkers were active was too wide, it was hard to say if the wall from the Abyss was nearby.
“The level of monsters around the wall is generally low. I should have a chance to find them if I look in the direction of the lower level monsters.”Dudian recalled the distribution of monsters he had met along the way, he found a strong and weak route but it was in conflict with his northward direction. It was in the east.
Dudian immediately walked along the east. There was still a long way from the Kingdom of God so he wasn’t in a hurry. Maybe there would be some unexpected gains in the east wall.
Moreover, he had only seen Sylvia but he had never been to other walls. He might be able to compare the differences between the walls and some secrets.
Most of the monsters that Dudian met along the way were at the pioneer level. As he walked further and further to the east, the monsters he met became weaker and weaker. It proved that the route he had chosen was correct.
At night, Dudian stopped to rest. He ate the flesh and blood of the monsters he had hunted. He drank the water from the huge potholes. The next day, he continued to travel.
In the blink of an eye, three days had passed.
Dudian traveled thousands of miles in a day. In just three days, he had traveled more than three thousand miles. The main reason why he was able to travel so fast was that most of the routes he had taken were at the pioneer level. Occasionally, he would encounter master level and inner wilderness level monsters, as for the Abyss level monsters above master level, he had only met two of them. He had bypassed them in advance without alerting the other party.
“If I haven’t found the wall by the day after tomorrow, I will have to lose my arm in the wilderness.”Dudian looked at his right arm which had turned into an ice claw. The golden sarcoma on his shoulder had spread more and more. In just three and a half days.., it had expanded to more than one centimeter. He found that the parasitic soul worm mucus injected into the magic nest in his chest had dried up a lot.
He didn’t know if there was a relationship between the two. He planned to extract the parasitic soul worm mucus tonight. If his body couldn’t absorb the mucus then it would rot in the magic nest.
Dudian didn’t meet the trail and smell of the Abyss Walker for three days. He felt that he should be far away from the group of people.
Dudian flew out of the jungle. There was a limiter level monster three miles ahead of him. He rushed towards it. The monster was like a giant rabbit. It was hairy, however its ears were not furry but were as sharp as horns. It turned to look at Dudian. Its scarlet eyes were filled with hostility. It was about to scream when a cold light flashed and blood burst out.
The head of the monster fell down and rolled on the ground.
Dudian took out the ‘soul guide bottle’. Soon, a parasitic soul worm crawled out from the monster’s blood and drilled into the bottle.
“Another one.”Dudian screwed the cap. He had killed thousands of monsters in the past three days. Twelve of them were named monsters. Including the one in front of him, there were thirteen parasitic soul worms, there were many monsters that he didn’t think were named monsters so he didn’t test them.
Dudian took the parasitic soul worm and continued to move forward with Aisha.
He looked up at the setting sun. The warm light made him feel like he was taking a stroll in the sunset. He felt relaxed as he walked along the east direction, the monsters he met along the way were much weaker than the ones he had met before.
As he walked, a ray of sunset flashed past his eyes. There was a towering giant wall standing in the distance above the weeds in front of the jungle. It looked like an ancient city wall.
Dudian stopped and raised his hand to cover his eyes. He was sure that his eyes weren’t blurred. It was a giant wall!
He was stunned for a few seconds before he reacted. There was an inexplicable excitement in his heart. This was the second giant wall that he had seen in addition to Sylvia!
Were the intruders like him? Did they come from the Abyss?
“I don’t know if this wall is the place where the abyss lives, or a similar wall to Sylvia, or a weaker place?”Dudian’s eyes lit up. If it was a weaker giant wall.., he didn’t mind being an intruder.
He took Aisha and rushed over. As they were getting closer to the giant wall, he used his clairvoyance to observe the surroundings of the giant wall in case of an ambush. Although there was no such setup in Sylvia.., but it didn’t mean that the other giant walls wouldn’t be like this.
After searching for a while, he didn’t see any sentinels. Dudian spread his magic wings and took Aisha with him.
The thousand-meter tall giant wall quickly closed in. Dudian jumped onto the giant wall. The width and shape of the top of the giant wall made him feel very familiar. It was as if he had returned to the giant wall of Sylvia.
He quickly went to the other side of the giant wall and looked around. He saw lush green mountains and lush green water. The environment was beautiful. There was no trace of human habitation in his sight.
He knew that the place close to the giant wall was heavily radioactive. It was a wasteland. Although the environment was beautiful but there were many mutated beasts and low-level monsters that had been exposed to radiation.
“I didn’t expect to find the second giant wall in the abyss. I haven’t seen any master level monsters within a thousand miles of this place. is the distribution of the abyss the farthest place outside the giant walls?”Dudian pondered, he felt that he could faintly see the distribution of the current world.
The giant wall stood at the farthest edge of each giant wall. The Abyss was the place where there was no development.
“In addition to the lack of development, perhaps there are ‘magic pits’in these places. According to Aristotle’s notes, magic pits are the deepest place in the abyss. The closer to the magic pit, the stronger the monsters. It is obviously not suitable to build giant walls around the magic pit. The geographical environment of the magic pit can not be changed so the giant wall was built far away from the magic pit. In this way, the Abyss is not a sealed area.”
Dudian finally sketched out a picture of this world. It was like a completely black world. Every giant wall was like a lighthouse. The light emitted by the lighthouse was the hunting area, the Dark Area outside the light was the abyss!
