Chapter 26: Chapter 25. Leaving The Kingdom

The hellish one-week training was finally over today. Everyone was happy and even felt like celebrating it.

A lot of houses were already created on the other island while the rest of them were still developing. Alex's devil fruit powers played a very vital role in the creation of those houses.

He even brought an entire river from one of the empty islands and placed it in the middle of the city, effectively ending the need to get drinking water from some other source.

The training went nicely as well though he had to intervene in the fights whenever he noticed that someone was gonna die. Still, the group made sure to work together which helped them to survive on this dangerous island.

Right now, he was standing in the port of Nanohana town. In front of him were Mikita and the members of her organization who had gotten quite strong last week.

Next to them were Broggy, Dorry and Lola. The last person standing some distance away from them was Dez.

"You can make your base on the Little Garden while sending your subordinates to different parts of the Grand Line," Alex suggested with a serious expression on his face to which she nodded. "Make sure to keep expanding your organization regardless of the amount it will take. I have placed a lot of money on the ship for you to use."

"I won't disappoint you, captain." Mikita calmly replied with a serious expression. "I'll make sure to send some of my subordinates to Blue's as well to expand the Secret."

"Good, you can go now. I'll make sure to visit you in the future." He waved at her with a small smile and kept looking at her until she boarded the ship along with her subordinates. 

He then turned to look at the other group with a small smile. "You know where to go now, right? Make sure to gather your crew members who are scattered around the Grand Line." He said in a calm tone and then turned to look at Lola. "I'm sure that I have already explained everything to you, Lola. I don't want you to make any kind of mistakes in this, alright?"

"Don't worry, Lord Alex. I know what I need to do." Lola seriously said while bowing slightly.

"Good." Alex nodded at her words and once again looked at the Giants. "I'm sure that the Marines won't do anything to you since you have my flag over your ship, however, the same couldn't be said about the pirates." Alex calmly told them. "Though I'm sure that you can take care of those little pirates with your current strength along with the devil fruit that I gave you."

"Geyagyagya….., it would be hell for those little pirates if I used my devil fruit powers, Captain." Groggy loud out loud along with Broggy, making Alex smile as well. "We'll be departing now, captain. It will take a lot of time to reach that place after all."

The Giants boarded the large ship which shook, the moment they stood in it. After them, Lola climbed on the ship. Even though they all climbed on the ship, it was now barely floating on the sea.

Alex used his powers and caused the ship to float back to its original level. "Make sure to change the ship if you find a good one. It might break in the middle of the sea." Alex warned them in a serious tone to which they all nodded and then set sail to go to that place.

After the ship disappeared into the vast sea, Alex turned to look at the last person who was standing there. "You can leave as well. I hope to hear great news from you, Daz." Alex smiled at him and pointed toward a small boat. "There is a dead body in it, make sure to give that to them and tell them that you are the one who killed that guy, okay?"

"I understand." Saying that he climbed on that small boat and began to set sail for the new journey.

"If you want to share something with me, make sure to do it through the subordinates of Mikita. We won't be talking with each other for a long time." Alex reminded him with a serious expression to which Daz nodded calmly. "Go now, I'm expecting a lot of good things from you, Daz."

After the boat went some distance away, Alex turned around and instantly disappeared from his place. With very fast actions, he deleted the memories of this time from every person that was on the port.

There was no reason for these civilians to remember his conversation with his subordinates as someone from them might spread this thing.

After he was done erasing the memories of those people of that specific moment, he flew back to the palace where his crew members were eagerly waiting for him so they could start their breakfast.

Taking his seat next to Vivi, he motioned one of the servants to serve him breakfast and then he turned to look at the King. "We will be leaving today to continue our journey and I'll be taking those workers with me."

"Well, as long as they agree, I don't have any problem with it." The King had a lot of people to work for the Kingdom so it didn't matter if Alex took some of them with him.

"They all are happy working for me to create the first city of my Empire." Alex chuckled amusingly, remembering the excited faces of those people when he told them about the salary that he would provide them. They were even happier when they learnt that they could live in one of these houses in the future.

"Is Vivi coming with us?" Kaya asked curiously while taking a sip of orange juice.

"I don't think that she can leave her Kingdom just to travel with some pirates which would put her Kingdom in danger." Robin was the one who answered Kaya. "Her situation is vastly different from us, Kaya. She can't perform certain things that might bring harm to her family or Kingdom."

"Robin is right, I won't be able to join you guys on your journey," Vivi spoke with a serious expression, however, they all could see the sorrow in her eyes especially when she stared at Alex.

"Can I take the Karoo with me? I like him very much." Perona asked with a hopeful look in her eyes. She had just seen that thing yet she had fallen in love with it. The duck was just too cute for her to leave it here.

Hearing her words, everyone laughed out since they all had seen the obsession that Perona showed for that duck in the early morning.

"Don't worry, Perona. You are gonna stay here with Vivi so you will get a lot of chances to see the Karoo." Alex spoke in a calm tone, surprising everyone with his decision.

"Why? You don't want me anymore?" Tears began to gather in the corner of her eyes while she looked at him with an unhappy expression.

Seeing her expression even Alex was surprised. It seems that she harboured a lot of feelings for Moria however now, those feelings were directed at him.

"Vivi here needs a good assistant, Perona. Among us, you are the best candidate for this job." Alex calmly replied, causing her to look at him with a delighted look. "I believe that you won't disappoint me but it seems that you don't want this assignment……"

"I Want It!" She immediately stood up from her seat while slamming the table with an enthusiastic smile. "Since you trust me this much, I will do this because I'm the best candidate." Saying that she began to giggle in her signature style causing everyone to chuckle in amusement.

"We will have two fewer members now on the ship….." Tashigi mumbled under her breath with a calm expression. "It would be quite boring now since even Mikita has left us." Saying those words, she once again began to eat her breakfast.

"You are right. Now we would be all alone on the training ground as well." Nami agreed with her friend's words while sipping on Apple juice.

"Well, we expected it from the beginning. Unlike us, they weren't part of the main crew and as for these two girls, they have certain circumstances." Nojiko wasn't much bothered about everyone leaving them, however, she was sure that she would miss these two girls along with Mikita.

Robin calmly continued to eat her breakfast, not engaging in any conversation that took place at the dining table.

After breakfast was over, the girls went with Vivi to talk with her for the last time while Alex went to meet Igaram to meet a certain person.

"Did you train that guy as well?" Alex curiously asked while walking beside Igaram, heading to the training ground of the Kingdom.

"Since you had given a specific order, I trained him and the people that used to follow him to the best of my abilities," Igaram replied in a calm tone. "He is very hardworking because of that, he managed to become quite strong in just one week."

"It's a good thing." Alex was pleased after hearing those words. "He should be more than ready to take the task that I have specifically prepared for him."

They talked for some time and finally reached the place where the soldiers along with rebels who now have joined the military were training enthusiastically.

Igaram gave them some instructions and then called the person that Alex was looking for. The person was Koza, the guy who was the leader of the rebels.

"Lord Alex." Koza instantly bowed and spoke in a polite tone. "Igaram told me that you are looking for me."

"Indeed, I have an important task for you to do." Alex calmly replied and began to walk away from the training ground while motioning Koza to follow him. "Are you willing to do it? Keep in mind that you would need to go to another Kingdom and stay there for a long time."

"This….." A look of hesitation appeared on his face after hearing those words. Though after some time, it was replaced by a determined expression. "Since it's a task from lord Alex, I won't reject it. You just need to tell me what to do, I will make sure to do it wholeheartedly."

Alex smiled at his words and then began to explain to him the things that he needs to do. When he was done explaining to him, Alex took out a devil fruit and an envelope from his system storage before handing them to Koza.

"The earlier you leave, the better it will be, Koza. I wish you good luck." Saying that he turned around and began to walk inside the palace while Koza stood there with those two things in his hand.

After thinking about those words for some more time, he brought the devil fruit closer to his face before taking a small bite of it. "Yuck!! What a shitty taste!!" He cursed out loud and began to spit it out of his mouth however it didn't lessen the disgusting taste in his mouth.

He looked at his hand for a moment before he began to walk back to the training area while putting the envelope inside his pocket. "It's time to say goodbye to some people before leaving the Kingdom….."

Outside of the palace, Alex stood along with the girls. The servants and the king were also present there.

"Hey, you done now?" Alex asked with an irritated expression, looking at Nami who doesn't seem to let go of Vivi and Perona.

"Sniff! You won't understand my pain, Alex. Sniff! I'll miss them a lot." Nami spoke with a depressed expression while hugging both girls tightly much to their annoyance.

"Let go of them, Nami…" Tashigi grabbed Nami's hand and forcefully pulled her away from the girls. "We will meet in the future, you know. So stop acting as if we are leaving them here for eternity."

After separating herself from them, she latched herself to Tashigi with a tragic expression much to everyone's amusement.

The girls then one by one began to say goodbye to Vivi and Perona with sad smiles on their faces. To them, it still felt very unpleasant to leave two crew members behind.

After the girls were done, Alex took a step forward and rubbed Perona's head affectionately. "Don't be sad, okay? I will soon make a way for you two to meet us regularly. Though don't stop your training in my absence." He spoke with a smile on his face, making her happily nod at him.

"I'll be waiting for that time, Captain," Perona replied with a delighted smile, enjoying his touch on her head.

He spoke some more words to her before turning to look at Vivi. "I'm sure that I don't have to tell you anything, Vivi. You are after all a very capable person." Saying that he leaned forward and captured her lips causing everyone to look at them with a shocked expression.

"Mmm….!" Vivi nodded with reddish cheeks, her eyes looking at the ground as she wasn't expecting to do something like this in front of so many people, her father was there as well.

"Let's go everyone, we'll be leaving the Kingdom now." He said in a loud tone and began to float in the air along with his crew members before flying toward the Nanohana port.

"Father……" After he disappeared from view, Vivi turned toward her father with an embarrassed expression.

"No need to explain. You are old enough to make your own decisions, you know." King Cobra said with a small smile and walked inside the palace along with the servants.

Vivi stood there confused at his words however suddenly realization hit her, making her smile very jovially. "Thank you, father. You are the best!" She loudly said with an excited smile and then turned to look at her friend. "Let's go, Perona. We need to start making some big changes in this Kingdom from now on."
