Chapter 5: Chapter 4. The Girls Are Exhausted

"Don't tell me you are already tired?" Alex asked with a frown on his face, looking at the girls who were panting.

"You are a beast, Alex….!" Nojiko shouted with a hateful expression. Her entire body was aching right now, especially her arms due to the number of push-ups she had to do.

"Hey, don't say something like this, people will misunderstand your words," Alex spoke with an amused chuckle, making Nojiko glare at him fiercely.

Not caring about her gaze, he moved towards Nami who had passed out and was now lying on the ground. Lifting her in a princess manner, he took her back to her room and put her on the bed before coming back to the deck.

Nojiko wanted to stand up, however, her tired body didn't allow her. She would have fainted first if not for the fact that she had slowed down the speed of her doing push-ups, unlike her little sister. 

Alex immediately walked toward her and supported her by wrapping one of his hands around her slim waist so she could finally stand up.

Her body leaned on his shoulder while she tried to catch her rapid breathing. "Do we need to do this kind of training every day?" Nojiko asked with a worried expression, thinking about the pain that she would find herself in from now on.

"Of course not." Alex instantly denied her words, making her happy though his next words made her even more depressed. "I'll slowly increase the level of your training so you can get stronger in no time."

"Bad guy….!" Nojiko muttered under her breath and closed her eyes, letting her body lean on his body. Seeing this, Alex chuckled before lifting her in the princess manner to take her back to her room so she could recover from the fatigue.

The training or should he say the push-up exercise only lasted for an hour and yet they collapsed due to exhaustion. It seems that he needed to get the third member early and feed that devil fruit to that person otherwise the training would take a lot of time to show fruitful results.

After putting her on the bed and kissing her forehead, much to Nojiko's embarrassment, he went back to the deck and kept increasing the speed of the ship while using his observation haki to full capacity.

Taking out the Rokushiki manual from the system storage, he began to read it carefully, trying to memorize all of the details. He wasn't interested in all of those techniques however he needed to read so he could train his crew in a better way.

To be honest, he was only interested in MoonWalk as the rest of the techniques were quite useless to him. He could achieve the same results using different techniques.

After reading the manual again and again for 1 hour, his observation haki finally picked up the presence of many people in the same place. Decreasing the speed of the ship, he made it float down slowly until it was placed on the shore of the island.

He felt a little bit bad for the dead body of Buggy which was constantly getting submerged in the sea. Though he didn't plan to take out the body from the sea.

Since the sister duo was sleeping soundly, he didn't plan to wake them up. Jumping down from the ship, he landed on the island and sensed 4 presences coming toward the shore hurriedly.

Disappearing from the shore, he instantly appeared on a branch of a tree from where he was able to see their faces.

A long nose guy was running along with three kids and all of them were panting heavily due to exhaustion.

"Hmm, What to do with him?" Alex pondered about the many choices that he could take to get rid of that long nose guy. Alex was sure that he would become a problem for himself when he was going to recruit her to his crew. Though after thinking for some moments, he decided not to kill him for now.

Breaking a branch of the tree, he motioned it to go toward Usopp at a frightening speed. The branch pierced the shoulder of the long nose guy and began to float toward the sea at a very fast speed until it was out of control of Alex's ability.

If he has good luck, he might be able to meet the straw hat pirates and save his life, however, if he doesn't then he'll just die somewhere in the middle of the sea. As for him coming back by swimming constantly, it was impossible at least for such a weak guy.

Smiling lightly, he jumped down from the tree and landed in front of those three little kids. "Hello there kids. Can you point the direction of a restaurant?" His appearance immediately freaked them out however they soon calmed down when they noticed that it wasn't a bad guy.

"Are you a pirate?" One of the kids asked with a nervous expression while taking a step back unconsciously along with the other two kids.

"I'm not a pirate, I'm working as a bounty hunter," Alex replied with a smile to which they nodded and dropped their guard against him.

Well, his words were indeed true since he hasn't gotten a bounty on his head as of now, he considered himself a bounty hunter.

"We'll take you to the restaurant. Though don't cause trouble otherwise another captain will be very mad." The purple-haired kid threatened while making a scary expression on his face, prompting Alex to chuckle in amusement.

"Where is your captain?" Alex asked with a curious expression, looking around himself.

"Of course, he is here." The green-haired kid said and turned back to look at his captain however he found no one. Blinking his eyes in confusion, he began to look around. "Captain, where are you?" The other kids also began to look around, however, they found no one much to their confusion.

"Are you perhaps talking about a guy with a long nose?" Alex suddenly asked with a thoughtful expression. Seeing them nod at his words, he decided to tell the truth. "I just saw him at the shore with a small boat. He seems to be going somewhere hurriedly while muttering 'I finally found her, my love'."

"What???" The three kids' eyes widened in shock at his words. They quickly looked at each other for some answers however they found that all of them were clueless about this.

"Why didn't we know of this….?" The purpose-haired kid muttered with a dejected expression. He thought he was in the closet with the captain along with his friends however it turned out that their captain never thought much of them.

"Are you going to help me or not?" Alex asked with an impatient tone. The kids looked at each other before their usual happy expressions appeared on their faces.

"Let's go." They began to take him to the best and only restaurant in this village while telling him about the village.

They told him about the general lives of the villagers and as well about the big mansion which was quite away from the main village. They told him about the owner of that mansion and how no one was allowed to go there because of the head butler of that mansion.

"So, Kaya, the mansion owner is sick and yet she reads every day to become a doctor?" Entering the small restaurant, he asked with an intrigued expression.

"Yeah, the big sister is very hardworking and kind." The blue-haired kid nodded at his words along with the other two kids.

Alex went toward the counter and ordered food for 4 people and took a seat at an empty table. "Since you, three had helped me to find the restaurant, I'll give you a treat." Saying that he signalled them to take the respective empty chairs near the table.

"Thank you, big brother." The three kids immediately laughed in happiness and took the empty seats, prompting the other customers to laugh.

They waited for some time before one of the waiters brought their share of food and placed it on the table. The children immediately began to eat the food, not caring about the guy who gave them this treat.

"Where is that brat? He isn't with you today." The shop owner, who was a fat old woman, asked the children with a curious expression. The other customers who were also from this village looked at the children with curiosity.

"Captain Usopp? He ran away from the village to find someone." The purple-haired kid nonchalantly replied while biting the meat piece.

"Yeah, big brother Alex was the one who saw the captain sailing away using a small boat." The blue-haired kid also agreed with his best friend along with the other kid.

When the shop owner and customers heard this, they were quite surprised however the surprise soon changed into happiness. "Haha, finally, we don't have to hear about incoming pirates from that brat's mouth." The shop owner immediately laughed in joy along with the other customers who thought the same.

After finishing up his share of food, Alex paid the bill amount before placing another order for 2 people. This time, he asked the shop owner to pack the food.

The children thanked him for the food and ran away from the shop, possibly to tell the other villagers about Usopp's sudden departure. They were quite like Usopp when it came to spreading such news rapidly.

Taking the packed lunch in his hands, he began to walk toward the ship where the duo of sisters were now awake. On the way, many people looked at him with a curious expression as it was quite a long time before someone from outside the village had come here.

Not minding their gazes on him, Alex kept walking until he reached the shore from where he was able to see those two girls looking for something on the deck.

"Haha, don't worry, I didn't run away, you two," Alex shouted with an amused smile and jumped on the deck. "Let's go inside, I have brought food for you two." Showing them the food bags, he walked inside, followed by the two sisters.

"Are we going to train again, captain?" Nami asked with an anxious expression, feeling pain all over the body. If there was a chance to deny it, she would choose not to follow this crazy training.

"We will continue the training, Nami…." Nojiko replied to her sister with a helpless expression. She too didn't want to do this, alas, their captain wasn't going to go easy on them.

Putting the food packets on the table, he took his seat while Nojiko took the left chair and Nami took the right chair while opening the food packets.

While they were eating food, Alex began to ponder the things that he needed to do. He initially planned to practise moonwalking however he dropped that idea as he could just get the skill from any of the CP organization members.

The most important thing for him to do right now was to increase or should he say awaken his devil fruit. Since he had gotten Shiki experience regarding the devil fruit, he was always feeling that he could awaken his devil fruit at any time however he needed some kind of stimulation. Maybe to find a different way to use his devil fruit which was never used by Shiki?

While he was thinking of finding a way to awaken his devil fruit, his eyes landed on the tattoo that was drawn on Nami's hand. He kept looking at it for some time before an idea came into his mind.

He quickly grabbed Nami's hand much to her embarrassment while Nojiko looked at him with a dangerous glint in her eyes. "Keep eating, I'm trying to do something with my devil fruit powers." He nonchalantly waved off their stares and began to touch the area where the tattoo was drawn.

Even though Nami was eating her food once again, her entire face was red due to embarrassment. Nojiko noticed it easily, however she didn't say anything to her captain as it seemed to her that he didn't have any bad thoughts with that serious expression on his face.

Using his devil fruit power, he tried to make the tattoo ink float in the air however much to his surprise, it didn't even move. Seeing this, he wasn't discouraged, he kept trying again and again while the girls kept watching him amusingly since nothing seems to be happening.

"Are you perhaps trying to find an excuse to hold my hand?" Nami asked with a smile on her face, her face getting red. She had to admit that among the guys that she saw during her travelling, her captain was easily the most handsome. Combined with that serious expression that adored his face, she couldn't help but feel her heart skipping a beat.

Lifting his head, he noticed Nami's shy expression along with the Nojiko glare, his lips curled into a smile. "If you have so much time, let's go outside. It's time to teach you some basic things related to Grandline."
