"Wow, 2 times within 8 days. You seem to enjoy your stay in the Mortal world?"
It was the same white space like Ghel was in after being knocked out by the Giantslayer drink.
"You again. Why am I here?" Ghel didn't mind the masked body. His thoughts were on the thing that he rememberd happening last. He punshed, somehow he got in on her and could hit her face.
The eyes which widend, the redness which spread around her face made him momentary stunnend. The next thing was this space. He could guess what happend.
"Mhm? Come on. Is it that hard? You know where you are." The masked body made a chair appear and sat on it with crossed legs.
Ghel couldn't believe this sight. Somehow this thing was different from before.
"I'm unconscious. A space in the mask?" That was Ghel's best bet.
The masked body shook its head. "No and yes. The second part is, well, near the truth. The first part is somewhat true. Here a tipp, what is the purpose of the mask, what is it's skill."
Ghel halted. Again with these questions. He missed Lala, she never asked so many questions. He would go and fetch her back after waking up. Waking up? Was he really asleep though?
Heaven Sealing Mask..Soul Sucking Devil...
"I am...dead?"
The masked body clapped. "Ding ding ding! Well, you aren't dead in its truest sense but yes. This space is only for beings without a physical body or those whose soul wander around.
I don't know if we would have met again if it wasn't for the skill you got from it. To think you annoyed that little Devil hahahah. Too funny."
He was quiet, very quiet. He got many things from these few sentences. First it was that the body on the mask, well the one who talkes to him now, isn't the mask itself.
Second of all is that whoever this was, knew Aurora. There were only two posibilities for that.
Ghel stood up and walked towards it. He sat on the "ground" before the masked body, as he didn't have the ability to have a chair appear out of nowhere.
"You asked me last time what you wanted, right?" The masked body moved for a second before aknowleding it.
"Yes, why? You understood it?" It was intruiged. It hardly believed that Ghel understood that point.
"Hahaha no, I have too little information about that. I'm just sure that I know who you are now. How could I already know what you want. If I was right, I would have a guess though. Ghel was about 99% sure, it would just mean that at least someone lied to him or that there was an even bigger hole to look into.
"Ooohhh? Now I'm all ears." Truth be told, many were in the knowledge of who it was. Just Ghel wasn't one of them, and he didn't met anyone who knew yet. Except that bitch, no other gods who were against it, did have access to the Mortal world. She was one of those who put it here.
"You are the will of the world. No, you are the soul of the world, right?" That was Ghel's conclusion. Many things pointed towards that fallen god but who did they think he was? It all pointed to one direction, the skill, the people he met, the mask and what he was told.
It didn't make sense! The ticket which he got gave him the last piece of a view from bigger space of the picture.
"..pf.pfff...hahahahah, I like you more and more! Hello Ghel, you can call me Mene."
Ghel's eyes became cold. If this was real, it would mean one thing.
"Why would the gods cage you?" The gods were doing something big.
The masked body made a table appear and a chair."First let me ask you, what is it?"
Ghel pondered. The world didn't want revenge, no. That was much to simple and was in contradiction to what its purpose was. It surerly didn't want freedom too, else it would have told him already how to break this thing.
"To die, to cease existing? The skills who are given out, its an automatism, right? It works after a certain plan."
A teacup was made out of thin air and pushed towards him. Ghel stood up and sat on the chair before taking the cup.
"Mhm, not bad. Sadly, you have so many questions but we have so little time. Ask me some and I will answer as good as I am allowed." The masked body did a little nod with the last sentence. Well one was already answered then.
"Who is the one who has given my this skill, that wasn't you." He wanted to know who had such an absurd hobby.
"Can't tell you. Walk along your way and someday you will met it."
Ghel almost expected this answer. Would have been to easy else.
"What are gods really?"
This question made Mene halt for a second. She didn't expect this.
"Mhmmm. I think employees of the world would be fitting. They have to look after the cycle. That everything works properly."
Workers? From beings who are worshiped to workers. What a downgrade.
"The memory you showed me. What exactly did happen? It isn't as simple as a god slaying another, right?"
Mene took a sip from the tea and smiled.
"You are a naughty one, you know that?"
Ghel scratched his face. He was called naughty by the will of the world itself. How couldn't he be emberassed.

"It's the last question, I don't want to spoil my life too much." It were his heartfelt words. What was a life if he knew everything and didn't have setbacks? He could just make a play and watch it.
The masked body shook its head. "Ahhh, you two are really similiar. Anyway, what you saw is simple.
It was the start of the reconstruction. The one who you saw sacrificing himself was Sadar, a god with a very special ability. The hand from above was Nataro, the High God of this world. You can see him as the CEO of a company. As for Sadar, he was loaned by another world.
The problem was what Nataro wanted to do with Sadars ability as a god. He wanted him to forcefully summon other gods to enslave them.
Sadar didn't like this and fought him. It was a long battle but when those other bastards intervened did he have to flee. There was only one possibility for Sadar, as Nataro disconnected the Heavens for their fight.
The Mortal world.
You know, its funny. The first thing which is made by it. Is the world you know. The Mortal world. The second thing is a place to rest for those who work for the world, the Heavens.
There is only one rule which has to be never broken because of that. Else the Heavens would be disconnected from the others. You don't mess with your employer who can literaly make you cease from existence.
You can guess the rule, right?"
Ghel did hear the question but was in a really hard thinking process. There were other worlds? Even gods he knew were nothing more than something like gardener or zookeepers?
"Was it too much for you? You know, you asked me. I can stop if you want." Mene didn't berate him. If one wasn't born with this knowledge, how would it not stun them?
"No, it's ok. I just didn't think that beings as strong as gods would be just...caretakers." He was almost insta killed by Aurora. She was a god who may habe been nerfed but still a god.
"Ohh? You mean that little Devil? She is nowhere near as strong as a real god. Gods don't fight with their bodies or magic. As for that, you may get to know that yourself. Anyway, you didn't answer but I think you know it. The only rule is to not let anything touch the Mortal world which isn't from that world itself.
Mortal beings should have never been able to train in energy. The blood of Sada changed that. It seeped into the core of my physical form and changed a rule.
The scream you heard at the end was Nataro being imprisoned by the Great Ones, they are the guards of It.
What you saw was in one sentence. The beginning of the world you live in."
Mene sipped from her tea and left Ghel alone. He did say it was his last question. She wouldn't answer him anymore anyway. She got scolded just now.
This made much more sense for Ghel. There were still some important questions but he didn't want to know them.
Not every god was in support of Nataro's idea, question was which weren't?
What did the being which Mene called "It" want from him and why?
Did those who lied to him, lie knowing that it was a lie. Or were they told only so?
Ahh how fun! Something to do except just slowly grinding to battle whoever needed a beating!
"Ahh, to think little ol me would one day talk with the world itself, talk to gods and half gods. Even battle a godkin. Life sure is fun!" Ghel took the teacup and sipped on it.
"Water?" Why did she do that?
Mene laughed. "Like yourself, I too, have somewhat of a weird thing I got. Why should I give you one of my only things to play with? Be content with what you got, else..well...bad luck?"
He heard the sarcasm behind it. A weird thing she got? Probably a skill like the one he had. He could swear whoever was behind this didn't either know what to do or had too much time on hand.
Time passed by and both of them just talked about daily things. As good as one could talk with the world itself about daily things.
Long after did Mene stand up and sigh. "Ahh, it was a good talk. I don't think we would ever meet again. Know that it was a pleasure to meet you, Ghel."
Ghel stood up, he knew the time to get back has come. He cupped his hand and bowed. "I hope your dream will come true one day. Even if its a sad one. Or maybe I will find another way"
Mene giggled with a hand covering her mouth. She reached to the mask and slowly took it off. Ghel didn't expect to see that face.
"Y-y-you ar-" A finger was gently resting on his lips while the mask was put on his face.
"Until the end, we never had much time for ouselves. The only thing I will miss are the stories you made on the way. Fare thy well."
The white space began to spin and Ghel woke up in the same place like last time. The room of Aurora in the Blissful Inn.
He still couldn't believe the face underneath the mask, tears began to stream down from his face. After reaching towards the mask did he pull it of.
He was mumbling to himself while gently caressing it with his fingers. It wasn't clear what he said. His face was showing a myriad of expressions.
After a solid minute did he shake his head. "Tch, you want me to follow that? Think again." Without further ado was the mask put back on. If Lala were here she would have been stunnend. Didn't he hate it? Why did he still put it back on?
"Now that I think about it. It does feel nice. Now let's see what we have as reward, it should have increased after that, right?"
He stood up and saw not far away from him his Flying Bear Slippers.
After putting them on did he open his skill and was happy and stunned at the same time.
"You really want me to entertain you, eh?" He was more than happy with what he got, well it would mean that from now on he could do as he pleased in this world!
