Yao Jun and Guo Luo continued to wander around Snow's Heart Town for a few days, tasting the food from all the different stands as well as eating at several of the restaurants available in the town.
After spending several days in Snow's Heart Town, Yao Jun and Guo Luo left the town and found a secluded spot where they could bring out Little Gray again. There was no need to rush with returning to his parents, but that did not meant that he would forget about it.
He would only spend several days in the towns and cities they visited, after that, it would be time to be on the move again. The city they were heading to now was a city called Winter Wind Town, of the five towns under the control of the Raging Snow Sect, this was the one closest to it's headquarter, Raging Snow City.
Winter Wind Town was located almost a week of flight away from Snow's Heart Town, so while they were flying, they once more started checking if they could spot any Demonic beasts that they could hunt on the way.
Winter Wind Town was not constructed in the same way as Snow's Heart Town. It was built in the more typical Human Race style, with houses made out of carved wood and decorated with red lanterns.
Thanks to the brown wooden houses and the red lanterns, the entire town had a very comfortable and warm atmosphere. Yao Jun and Guo Luo quickly found an inn and rented a room, before they once more started wandering around the town while holding hands.
"Look at that! Let's try that one!"
While they were walking through the town, Guo Luo spotted a stand where a person had started a small fire and was currently roasting a whole leg over the fire. While the leg was roasting, he was also boiling a pot of soup on the fire. In most towns they had been in and eaten, all the food had been prepared earlier and was only being heated up quickly before being served, so this way of doing it was something Guo Luo had never seen before.
"Haha. Good choice lil lady! Bring yer boyfriend over here and i'll give ya some good food!"
The man who was roasting the meat, a chubby middle aged man clad in a loose brown robe and with long black hair, seemed to have heard Guo Luo, as he let out a loud laughter and beckoned for Yao Jun and Guo Luo to come over.
Guo Luo pulled Yao Jun over to the middle aged man with a bright smile on her face. The middle aged man brought out two bowls and two spoons, scooping some of the soup into the bowls.
He used a knife to slice a few small slices of meat off from the roasting leg and put those into the bowls of soup. He topped off everything with a thick slice of bread, before handing the food to Yao Jun and Guo Luo.
The soup was fragrant and mellow, while the meat was spiced and savory. Mixed with the soft bread it made for a delicious meal that truly warmed the body in the cold weather. Of course, since Yao Jun could still not use his broken left arm, Guo Luo helped feed him.
"Two of ya newly arrived in town?"
While they were eating, the middle aged man looked them up and down for a short moment before he asked. He had a thick accent that Yao Jun had never heard before, but he still managed to understand what he was saying.
"I thought as much. I pride myself on knowing most folk in the town, but I ain't ever seen folk like ya in town. Ya come here to celebrate the birthday of the Raging Snow Monarch?"

Seeing the two of them nod their head, the mouth of the man curved up into a smile as he continued making small talk.
"Raging Snow Monarch?"
Yao Jun couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when he heard the middle aged man. He could guess that the Raging Snow Monarch had something to do with the Raging Snow Sect, but there was no mention of him in the jade slip Yao Jun had.
"Never heard of 'im? He is the leader of the Raging Snow Sect, Cui Bao. He'll be celebrating his 100th birthday in a few days, invited nearly every important person from the towns he controls."
Seeing their expression, the man hurriedly explained. There was nearly no one within the five towns controlled by the Raging Snow Sect who did not know who Cui Bao was.
"We are just a wandering couple, we only came here to enjoy the atmosphere and relax."
Yao Jun responded with a slight chuckle when he saw the way the man was looking at them. It was clear that them not knowing about about the Raging Snow Monarch was extremely strange to the man.
"Then ya came to the right place! I used to be a wanderer meself, but I became tired of all the fighting and settled down here. Thanks to the Raging Snow Sect, ain't been a Demonic beast attack or any large disturbances for several years! The two of ya will be sure to enjoy yerself here!"
The man broke out into a loud laughter after hearing Yao Jun's explanation. When he noticed that the two of them had finished the food and paid him, he took back the two bowls. Yao Jun and Guo Luo bid the man farewell and proceeded to continue their wandering.
As they continued walking around town, spending several hours just looking at the various things the town had to offer, the sun started slowly setting. Seeing the sun slowly setting, they decided to turn around and return to the inn for the night.
As they were returning to the inn, they once more spotted a group of people from the Raging Snow Sect patrolling the streets. The people spotted them, nodding their heads in a polite greeting, before continuing on with their business.
The path that the people from the Raging Snow Sect took just so happened to pass by at the side of Yao Jun, right next to Guo Luo. The groups quickly reached each other, and were just about to pass each other when Yao Jun suddenly sense a strong sense of unease well up.
He didn't stop to think, immediately moving into action. He pulled Guo Luo closer to him, while also stepping to the side, away from the people from the Raging Snow Sect. As he pulled Guo Luo towards him, he saw one of the people from the Raging Snow Sect pull out a purple knife and stab at Guo Luo.
The stab was originally aimed at her back, at the position where her heart would be, but since Yao Jun pulled her away, the knife ended up sinking into her right shoulder. Even though the stab missed her heart, Yao Jun did not feel any better.
He could see a purple stream of energy invading Guo Luo's body from the wound, quickly spreading throughout her body. He noticed Guo Luo's body quickly losing strength, almost unable to stand after only a short moment. She even lost consciousness almost immediately.
