A ripple ran through space on top of a hill located a few kilometers away from Great Boulder Empire, the city that housed the headquarters of the Yao clan. The city was built between three tall mountains, one behind the city and one on the left and right of the city. The buildings in the city were all built using a type of black stone that was famous for being extremely sturdy, the entire city surrounded by a tall wall covered in glimmering white runes. It was called a city, but it was as sturdy as a fortress, built by the founder of the Yao clan.

Yao Jun stepped out of the ripple, calmly and coldly overlooking the city. The reason he had arrived here was that there was an array surrounding the entire city, scrambling the space inside it and preventing others from just teleporting in. Floating above the city were several flying galleons, the same ships Yao Jun had seen the World Tree clan use in the war he had briefly taken part in. Yao Jun was just about to step forward and walk to the city when space next to him started rippling, eight people stepping out from the ripple.

These eight people were the human-forms of Yao Jun's Demonic beasts. There was the two-meter tall and muscular Little Thunder, his once short and purple hair now a light azure, his pitch black eyes containing a hidden ferocity. Then there was the elegant and slim Little Gray, his eyes and long hair a shimmering silver. Sirius was a little smaller than Little Thunder, only around 1.80 meters, his eyes a clear sky blue and his hair a deep shade of gray.

Ba-Shei was only around 1.70 meters, with black hair that resembled silk and eyes that were a deep amber in color, a scar-like line going from the middle of his lower lip down to his throat. Zhuyin was rather small, only around 1.50 meters, but her slim body was packed with muscles, her playful yellow eyes hidden behind a few locks of crimson hair. Zhuanxu was just as tall as Little Thunder, his hair pristine white in color and his eyes an icy blue that seemed to chill the soul.

Du Xiao was tall and curvaceous, her skin so smooth and supple that one would believe she was as fragile as a doll, she had deep green hair and violet eyes that contained an enchanting charm. The last of his Demonic beasts was Siwang, the shortest of them all, only a little over one meter tall. His eyes were completely white, not even having a pupil, and his hair was short and black, resembling needles. It wasn't a problem in the wider universe, but on this planet, his almost gray skin made him stick out somewhat.

Yao Jun hadn't been checking up on them after they all split up, not wishing to pry into their private lives now that they finally got some time to spread their legs, so he had not expected them to show up here. He slightly raised one of his eyebrows, his gaze landing on Little Gray.

"So why have all of you come here?"

Since they had come here by traveling through space, rather than first returning to the God Gate, it was clear that Little Gray was the one who had brought them here. After hearing his question, all eight of them respectfully dropped to their knees, Little Gray stating their purpose.

"We have come because of your rage and our wish. You are always the one fighting, with us at best only taking a supporting role occasionally. But even then, it is always you who is fighting, who is getting wounded. We follow you because we want to, because we respect you and believe in you. We believe in the peak that you can reach, so won't you please let us be useful and carve a path to that peak for you? Won't you please let us fight for you, let us give vent to your rage?"

This worry had actually been on their minds for quite some time, the worry that they weren't useful to Yao Jun, that they were only capable of hiding within the God Gate while he fought. Yao Jun looked at the kneeling people, letting out a soft sigh and waving his hand.

"Stand up, you know that I am not fond of having you guys kneel for me."

Yao Jun could understand their worries. Other than their expedition on Four-Peaks planet, they had to spend most of their time inside the God Gate, rarely getting to leave and participate in battles. If he had to endure that, he would also start questioning his usefulness. The eight of them stood up, looking at Yao Jun with expectant eyes. Yao Jun rubbed his chin slightly, his thoughts moving for a short second before he spoke up.

"Very well, since you wish to fight for me, I will let you do just that. But not here, not now. I have something else planned for you, so before we enter the city, you will all need to change your appearance to something completely different. You also cannot reveal your real names while we are still on this planet. Have you finished extracting all the information from Mordred?"

It was not hard for them to change their appearance, but just to be on the safe side, he gave them all a technique he found in one of the interspatial rings he had taken from someone he had killed before he came here. They all accepted the technique, beaming with smiles as they nodded their heads.

"Yes!"

With Du Xiao's poison and Little Gray's mental energy, it was not hard for them to turn Mordred into a mindless puppet and force him to spill everything he knew. Yao Jun nodded his head, his gaze landing on Ba-Shei.

"Good, give me the information later on, then give his body to Ba-Shei. Hopefully, you can evolve your bloodline using his body. Once we finish up in there, I'll tell you what I want you to do."

Whatever Demonic beast was used to alter Mordred's body, it could use the law of darkness, and it was clearly a very high-ranking Demonic beast. Mordred was practically perfect nourishment for Ba-Shei. Ba-Shei nodded his head with a grateful expression, praying that he would be able to evolve with this, praying that he could live up to the name that Yao Jun had given him.

After all eight of them finished changing their appearances, Yao Jun turned around and faced the distant city. He started walking, heading for the large metal gates that were the entrance to the city, waving for his Demonic beasts to follow him.

"Now then, let's find out just what happened to my wife."

The eight people swiftly followed after Yao Jun, the group of nine reaching the gates within a few minutes. The gates were currently wide open, a rather large stream of people entering the city. This was one of the main cities on the Grand Quan continent, the number of visitors and citizens were hard to imagine for most people.

Yao Jun entered the city, his gaze landing on a circular and dome-like black palace located at the center of the city, this was where the meeting was currently taking place, this was where he would find answers. He continued to walk through the city while fully focused on the building, none of the other people in the street about to touch him or his Demonic beasts. His focus was then suddenly broken when he heard a very nostalgic voice call out to him.

"Little Jun? Is that you?"

Yao Jun turned his head slightly, the eight people following him doing the same, their eyes landing on an elegant woman walking down the street a few meters away from them. The woman seemed to be in her mid-twenties, was tall and slender and had a nice figure, she had raven-black hair, limpid blue eyes, a rosy complexion, and two dimples on her cheeks from smiling. Seeing Yao Jun look at her, the expression of the woman brightened as she stepped forward.

"Little Jun, it really is you! Do you remember me?"

The moment the woman stepped forward, Little Thunder's eyes lit up with azure lightning, a terrifying aura spreading from his body, bearing down on the woman like a tidal wave. Little Thunder released a strong killing intent, frightening the surrounding people while also shocking the other Demonic beasts, none of them understanding why he was reacting so strongly.

The woman froze in abject horror, unable to even breathe under the pressure released by Little Thunder. Little Thunder was just about to step forward when Yao Jun waved his hand, causing the pressure to vanish with a few simple words.

"Don't bother. She's not worth our time, she never was."

After speaking, Yao Jun didn't even cast a second glance at the woman, turning away and continuing towards the circular palace in the distance. Little Thunder sent a sneer at the still terrified woman before turning his head away and following Yao Jun, the seven other Demonic beasts casting a curious glance at her.

The woman was named Yao Pianzi, and she was someone Yao Jun had met shortly after he started cultivating his God Gate. She had used him for free labor, pretending to be his friend for a bit before tossing him away like a used towel.

Yao Jun didn't actually hate her, it was because of her actions that he joined the Cloud Wilderness expedition, which led to him meeting Little Gray and subsequently being transported to the continent where he would meet Yun Yantian and Guo Luo. He didn't hate her, but she wasn't worth his time or care. She shouldn't have been back then and she certainly wasn't now.

Yao Pianzi was still frozen in fear, only able to shiver and look on as Yao Jun continued to head for the distant palace. The other people in the street now knew that Yao Jun was the leader of someone as terrifying as Little Thunder, so they quickly made way for him, doing their best to avoid him as he walked with calm steps, eight people respectfully following him.

When he reached the metal fence that surrounded the circular palace, he was stopped by the five guards who stood by the entrance. These guards came from the Primordial Sea clan, the Final Fire clan, and some other clans that Yao Jun didn't know. Their cultivation was at the early stage of the Immortal Rebirth realm, practically making them emperors on this small planet. They stretched out their spears, blocking Yao Jun's path.

"Halt. There is a meeting going on so no one is allowed to enter."

Yao Jun didn't even bother stopping his footsteps, Zhuyin, Zhuanxu, and Siwang dashing forward and beating the guards aside like flies, smashing open the closed gates so that Yao Jun could enter the fruit garden that surrounded the palace. Chaos instantly broke out on the streets, people fleeing away as fast as they could, not wishing to get dragged into what was about to happen.

Yao Jun continued to calmly walk through the garden, the various guards gathering up in front of the actual entrance to the palace, looking at Yao Jun and his followers with wary gazes. Standing at the front of the guards were three people whose cultivation was only a small step away from reaching the late stage of the Immortal Rebirth realm.

They were able to feel the power within Yao Jun's body, so they knew that he was not easy to deal with, his cultivation just a tiny bit lower than theirs. The three people were one man with charcoal-like skin from the Final Fire clan, a woman from the Endless Abyss sect who had black and red smoke coiling around her and seeping into her skin, and a woman who seemed like a normal human, causing Yao Jun to guess that she might be from the Heaven's Gate sect. They stretched out their arms, the sole man speaking out with a stern voice.

"Halt! I don't know which clan or sect you are from, but you cannot interrupt this meeting. Return now and we won't pursue your disrespectful actions."

There was no one on this planet with cultivation like Yao Jun's, so the only explanation was that he was among the people who had arrived on this planet alongside them. But if he was, he should already know about the meeting, so they were uncertain why he acted as he did. Yao Jun gave the three people and the fifty other guards behind them a quick glance, just barely bothering to talk to them.

"Let me pass."

The expressions of the three main guards sank slightly when they heard his simple words, he truly didn't put them in his eyes. They raised their weapons, a saber, a sword, and a strange bell. Their expressions said it all, you cannot pass while we stand. Yao Jun looked at them, his eyes growing a bit colder.

"I am in a pretty bad mood right now, so I am the last person on this planet you want to piss off even more. If you do so, I will no longer hold back. Let. Me. Pass."

The woman that would be his wife was gone, his parents were gone, his best friend was gone, and he had no idea what had happened to any of them. His mood was as low as it could get, on the brink of exploding. The three people still didn't budge, their Qi starting to move. Since that was their decision, Yao Jun nodded his head, calmly stepping forward.

"Very well."

Yao Jun's Qi exploded outwards after he spoke up, the primal fear of prey facing its predator flooding the minds of every guard, even the main guards. Since they refused to move even after he warned them, then Yao Jun would no longer bother showing any mercy. Other than the people from the World Tree clan, who Yao Jun had a somewhat friendly relationship with, the others would die if they continued to block him.

--

The meeting was currently in full swing, people from the various outsider clans throwing ideas and guesses back and forth, with someone who came from this planet occasionally chirping up. But they were only here to provide a bit of information, they knew that this meeting didn't really have anything to do with them, they had no right to say anything here, not with their strength.

The ones who had the main right to talk were the 15 people with the highest strength, the ones that had reached the late stage of the Immortal Rebirth realm. Other than these 15, the other hundreds of people gathered in this large circular hall were practically only decorations.

Just as a man from the World Tree clan threw out an idea as to how they could figure out how the seal on this planet had vanished, the golden doors of the room were blown open, fragments of wood showering the people in the room. Everyone cast their eyes onto the doors, somewhat shocked at what they saw.

Standing in the doorway was a man, Yao Jun, clad in a black robe, his violet hair swaying slightly, his ghastly gray eyes looking at everyone with a cold gaze. His left hand was clamped around the throat of Eradon, the female guard from the Endless Abyss sect, and in his right hand, he held an unadorned black sword. Eradon was still alive, but clearly just barely, she would die within a few hours at best.

Standing respectfully behind Yao Jun were eight people who released a fearsome pressure, showing that they too were very powerful. As for the hallway behind Yao Jun, it was filled with corpses and blood, only a few people from the World Tree clan left alive in the scene that was reminiscent of hell.

Yao Jun clenched his left hand, shattering the throat and neck of Eradon, tossing her body at one of the 15 cultivators who had reached the late stage of the Immortal Rebirth realm. When the people in the room saw him, a few somewhat hushed voices rang out in either surprise, shock, or fear.

"Jun'er?"
"Yao Jun?"
"Bloodstained Yao Jun?"

Yao Jun's calm and cold eyes swept over everyone in the room, stopping on a few people for a short second. As everyone was looking at him, his calm and cold voice that contained a well-hidden explosive fury slowly rang out.

"Now, who the fuck can tell me where my wife and family has gone?"
