The first one to reach Luosho Li's interspatial ring was actually Baam. He utilized his law of space to forcibly repair the parts of space that Yao Jun had shattered and then teleported over to the ring, stretching out his arm to grab it. But just as he stretched his hand out, a bubble of gray energy surrounded him, his speed slowing to a crawl as time all around him was almost brought to a halt.
Mascheny quickly rushed forward after stopping Baam, her speed so fast that it was impossible to see her with the naked eye. One couldn't see her with the naked eye, but the stronger ones present could still detect her using their Qi. Luosho Li quickly created a circular shield around the interspatial ring, Mascheny's hand bouncing off of it when she tried to grab it. Luosho Li waved her hand and tried to call the shield, as well as the ring inside it, back to her side, but Mascheny would not allow that. She quickly slapped out with all her might, the ring and shield sent flying into the distance so fast that they created a screeching sound as they cut through the air.
Everyone quickly chased after the ring, Baam, Mascheny, Luosho Li, and the silver-haired female at the forefront of the group. While they went running after the ring, Yao Jun turned his head to the side, his gaze landing on the wounded Xiao Yan, who was slowly crawling away from the area with some blood still leaking out from the corners of his mouth.
Yao Jun took a step forward and vanished, appearing directly in front of Xiao Yan and stabbing down with his sword. Xiao Yan felt all the hairs on his body stand on end, quickly rolling to the side and punching out with his left arm, a thick layer of crystals covering it. He hit the side of Yao Jun's sword with such force that Yao Jun felt his hand go numb, the sword sent flying into the distance. Xiao Yan then jumped up and called out in a loud voice, his injuries clearly not as bad as he had tried to make it look earlier.
"Why must you try to push me so?! Do you no longer have any interest in the tower?!"
Xiao Yan quickly pulled back a few steps after calling out, putting some distance between him and Yao Jun, looking for an opening to escape. Yao Jun looked at Xiao Yan, his eyes roaming all over Xiao Yan's body as a slight smirk curled up on his face.
"Oh, I have plenty interest in the tower, that's exactly why I came for you."
Xiao Yan's expression immediately dropped upon hearing Yao Jun's words, the Qi within his body quickly starting to circulate faster. He pulled back a few more steps, two shortswords appearing in his grasp as he looked at Yao Jun with narrowed eyes.
"...How did you know?"
Yao Jun's smirk grew a little wider after hearing Xiao Yan admitting to it. He stepped closer to Xiao Yan, the Qi within his own body starting to seethe as he gave a very simple reply.
"Instinct."
Xiao Yan had held onto the interspatial ring for at least three seconds, it was plenty of time to take out the tower and place it within his own Supreme Law fragment. If Yao Jun were to be the one who acquired the interspatial ring, he would have done just the same. Seeing Xiao Yan choose to not chase after the interspatial ring when it flew away, Yao Jun had become even more certain of his guess, and now Xiao Yan had proven it to be true. Xiao Yan's expression dropped further when he heard that Yao Jun hadn't even been certain, quickly shouting out.
"Heliod!"
A light flashed beneath him, the golden jaguar appearing beneath him and allowing him to mount him. Xiao Yan grabbed onto the fur of the jaguar and vanished into the distance at full speed, not even glancing back at Yao Jun or Luosho Li's interspatial ring. Yao Jun had no intention of letting Xiao Yan flee now, space around him rippling as he vanished.
The law of light was incredibly fast, it was borderline teleportation. But it was only borderline, it would not be able to beat actual teleportation, not on its own. Yao Jun appeared directly in front of the fleeing Xiao Yan, his right fist smashing directly into his chest and crushing two of his ribs, knocking him directly off of Heliod.
But just as Yao Jun's fist crashed into Xiao Yan's chest, his God Gate unleashed a thump so heavy that it opened slightly, all the energy Yao Jun had kept hidden within it spilling forth. In that short instant, his fist had touched the spot where Xiao Yan's Supreme Law fragment was residing, resulting in his God Gate calling out to it with all its might.
Xiao Yan flew backward, his eyes opening wide as he looked at Yao Jun, whose expression was currently sinking. Yao Jun quickly gathered the energy of his God Gate back into it and sealed it up, but it was already too late, Xiao Yan had sensed it perfectly. Even Yuri and the others had felt a faint trace of the energy that spilled out, they might have all rushed over if they hadn't currently been fighting over Luosho Li's interspatial ring.
Xiao Yan landed on his feet and slid back a bit, Heliod appearing at his side and growling at Yao Jun. Xiao Yan's lips curled up slightly, an emerald orb appearing in his hand as he spoke up, looking at Yao Jun with great interest.

"So you had a fragment of the Supreme Law of Demons, did you? All the fragment lords were accounted for at the start of the competition, so just where did you get your fragment, is it a previously unknown one?"
As someone who already had one fragment of the Supreme Law of Demons, the prospect of there being several unknown ones interested him greatly. But at the same time, a sliver of fear also crept into his heart as he looked at Yao Jun. As holders of the Supreme Law of Demons, they were feared for their ability to call forth armies of Demonic beasts, it was sometimes considered their most fearsome trait.
But Yao Jun had been able to fight him evenly on his own, without calling out a single Demonic beast. Just how strong would he be if he fought with all his Demonic beasts at his side? Yao Jun didn't respond to Xiao Yan and was just about to take a step forward when the emerald orb in Xiao Yan's hand suddenly lit up.
"Ah ah! I wouldn't do that if I were you. Looking at your previous actions and your reaction to me finding out about your fragment, you are clearly trying to keep it hidden. Make a single other move and I will use this orb to inform everyone I know about you and your fragment. I'll voluntarily surrender and transfer all my points to you, informing those that receive the message that whoever acquired all my points has an unknown fragment of the Supreme Law of Demons. I promise you, within less than one day, the entire universe will know your secret. All you have to do is let me leave here and not tell anyone about me having the tower, do that and I promise to not spread your secret."
Yao Jun stopped in his tracks for a short moment, his eyes narrowing dangerously as he looked at Xiao Yan, whose lips curled into a somewhat victorious smile. Seeing this smile, Yao Jun already knew what would happen next, a slight sneer appearing on his face.
"Oh? It's not impossible, you just have to join me in swearing an oath that you will never, and haven't already, sent out the information."
Xiao Yan's smile twitched upon hearing Yao Jun's statement, vanishing almost instantly. Seeing this, Yao Jun's sneer only grew wider, his guess already affirmed.
"That's what I thought."
Yao Jun vanished from his previous position, appearing directly in front of Xiao Yan and forming a spear with his hand, stabbing at Xiao Yan's throat. The moment Yao Jun appeared in front of Xiao Yan, the emerald orb within Xiao Yan's hand turned to dust and blew away. The coiling dragon symbol on Yao Jun's hand suddenly started to release a bright glow, taking on a purple-golden hue. With Xiao Yan transferring all his points to him, Yao Jun had acquired enough points to reach the purple-gold level, everyone in the competition now able to sense his location.
A light flashed beneath his feet, Xiao Yan and Heliod quickly pulling back and fleeing from Yao Jun. Space around Yao Jun rippled and he vanished, teleporting directly in front of them, stretching out his right arm. A black light flashed out from his sleeve, his sword appearing from the shadow and landing in his grasp as he slashed out. Xiao Yan took another step backward, his face turning steely as he called out in a deep voice.
"Georgios, Taric, Regali!"
As Xiao Yan called out, three more Demonic beasts appeared at his side. The first was the hundred-meter long metallic ox that he had summoned earlier, the second was a two-headed purple lion whose mane and fur was made from amethysts, and the third was the yellow winged serpent he had summoned earlier. Other than the winged serpent, Regali, the three other Demonic beasts around him had all reached the early stage of the Earthly Deity realm.
The ox, Georgios, let out a loud roar, Yao Jun's entire body growing so heavy that his feet sank into the earth, his veins bulging as he resisted the strengthened gravity. The lion, Taric, opened his maws and blocked the sword by chomping down on it, some of his teeth shattered but he managed to stop the sword, crystals slowly starting to cover it. Heliod and Regali charged at Yao Jun, their expressions steely as they spoke in their own language.
"Even if you are the young Demon God, we will not let you harm the King we have chosen!"
Yao Jun looked at the four Demonic beasts, his gaze sweeping over their expressions and making sure that they were all on the same page. His own expression grew cold when he saw that they all chose to support Xiao Yan of their own free will, a dense darkness unfurling from his body and forming a thick domain around all of them.
"Very well, then you can all die alongside him."
