If there was a skip option in his life, Michy would have used it to skip the day when he had to go to the Seventius building to talk with his uncle.
Maybe he looked like a coward for not wanting to face the consequences of what he had done to Trissa and Tallie in his showcase, but he just wasn't ready to see his uncle's face that was full of disappointment.
It wasn't like he was the one who should shoulder all the blame, but he still admitted that the disaster that occurred to him was partially his mistake too. He was the one who proposed the plans related to Trissa, and even Azren was against his idea, but he still insisted to use the idea as the easiest solution.
And now Michy only had Azren by his side, and both of them wanted to skip this day. They slept on a bed together last night, and they felt that they were in a safe zone when they were hugging each other while sleeping.
The zone was so comfortable and safe, and none of them wanted to get up from the bed to start the day. Unfortunately, they still had to do what they didn't want to do today.
Willem Shelton had invited Michy for a meeting in the Seventius building, and the idol couldn't turn down the invitation from his boss.
Michy was informed that the meeting today would be held in the meeting room, and he was quite nervous. He expected that the board directors would also be present in the meeting, and he had to prepare himself if those important people looked at him with disgust.
Fortunately, he could heave a sigh of relief because there were only his uncle, Felice, and CM in the meeting room. He brought Azren along with him when he entered the room, but the three people didn't seem to be surprised by the appearance of the assistant.
Sitting opposite Felice and CM, both Azren and Michy looked stiff in the room that seemed to be enveloped by thick clouds.
However, the reason behind their stiffness probably wasn't the same. Michy was nervous because of his uncle, while Azren was nervous because of the creature who was standing right behind Willem's chair.
Right after he stepped his foot in the meeting room, the pair of crimson eyes had never left him. He was shocked when he just saw the creature, but now he was more confused because of the creature's existence in the meeting room.
'I should have looked for him yesterday so I could find an answer about his presence around Willem Shelton. It's not only once when I see him with that man, and I'm sure that he's up to no good,' Azren gritted his teeth while glaring at the red-haired demon who was standing behind Willem Shelton.
It was Gizach. Just like what he saw two days ago, the redhead demon was staying close to the boss of Seventius. Gizach was not an idle demon, and if he was near a human, then that wasn't because he wanted to be friends with that human or something. Instead, he just wanted to lure the human to sin.
Gizach was staying near Willem Shelton all the time, so Azren suspected that the nasty demon had a plan related to the man.
'Gizach probably indeed has a bad plan related to Willem Shelton, but not all humans would be tempted by demons' persuasion so easily. Now I need to make sure whether Gizach would manage to provoke Willem or not.'
Azren was still busy with his thought as he kept glaring at the demon, not noticing that the four people in the meeting room were giving him a weird gaze.
Michy was the one who dared to interrupt Azren's reverie by pulling his sleeve a little. "Why are you glaring at my uncle?" He whispered to the demon, enough to pull Azren out of his trance.
The demon finally realized that he had been acting strangely just now, and the humans were confused when they saw how he acted. The humans couldn't see Gizach, and they mistook Azren for glaring at Willem.
And when Azren glanced at Willem, the man stared at him darkly. It was more like a scowl, and Azren gulped nervously. The humans indeed misunderstood him because of Gizach.
However, the nasty demon ended up laughing at his misery. Azren was mad, but he stopped himself from glaring at the redhead again as he didn't want the humans to misunderstand him more.
"Just focus on the meeting and ignore my presence, Azren. The humans probably will misunderstand your glare at me," Gizach even had the nerve to ridicule him, and Azren gritted his teeth to suppress his anger.
Aside from Gizach, four humans were there with him in the meeting room, so he shouldn't do something that he would regret later.
"Michy has arrived, so we better start our discussion today," Willem finally stopped staring at Azren and decided to open the meeting. "We all know what happened yesterday, and I invited you all to discuss how we should handle the situation. The company has yet made an official statement about it, and I plan to give an official statement today after this meeting."
Willem went straight to the point, and when Azren glimpsed at Michy, the latter could only lower his head while playing with his fingers on his laps. The demon sighed before grabbing the cute forefinger that belonged to the idol and kept holding it under the table.
Michy was startled, but when he glanced back at Azren, the latter acted as if nothing happened. Even so, Michy was happy because Azren kept his promise and was willing to stay beside him today.
"It's actually my fault," CM suddenly chimed in. "Just like what I said yesterday, I was the one who had provoked Trissa. If I didn't do that, then all of this wouldn't happen."
CM was blaming herself once again, and Michy turned to the girl. "You provoked Trissa, and she ended up kissing me on stage. But, the current issue is about how I slapped her without mercy. It's my fault for not being able to control my anger, so stop blaming yourself."
"You can't use that logic, Michy!" CM abruptly rebuked. "If I didn't provoke Trissa, then the chaos on the stage wouldn't happen. You wouldn't slap Trissa too!"
Michy and CM suddenly argued in the meeting room, and Azren felt that the female idol had a point. The commotion was caused by CM's provocation, and even if it was Michy who slapped Trissa, the start point of this problem was CM's provocation.
"Enough," Willem decided to interfere. "It's not important about who's wrong and who's right here. The important thing is how we should clean Michy's name once again. We managed to clean Michy's reputation before, but the current situation is more difficult to handle than before."
Michy and CM finally stopped arguing, and they listened to Willem solemnly.
"I'm sorry, uncle," Michy suddenly apologized. "I disappointed you once again, and I think I deserve it as my punishment."
"What are you saying, Michy?" Willem immediately responded. "I'm not blaming you for slapping Trissa. That girl indeed did something that's too shameless, and I'm not blaming you if you're angry with her. I think you're just unlucky because the staff forgot to end the live broadcast."
Speaking about the live broadcast, Felice suddenly butted in, "The staff forgot to end the live broadcast? What kind of excuse is that, sir? You should fire the staff for doing a big mistake that ruined Michy's career!"
Felice was usually scared of Willem, and she would choose to remain quiet if it wasn't necessary for her to speak up. However, she still couldn't believe that a professional staff used the word 'forgot' to stay away from this trouble.
"We can't do that to the staff, Felice," Willem replied again. "The staff is also a human, and it's normal if he couldn't always do his job perfectly. We can't just fire someone because of that."
Felice seemed like she was going to explode, and Michy decided to chime in, "My uncle is right, Felice. It's no use to fire that staff. Even if we fire the staff, we can't turn back time to change our destiny. It's my fate to have this kind of ending, so we don't have to blame anyone."
Michy's statement stunned the people in the meeting room. There was a word that attracted their attention, and it was Willem who questioned the idol, "What do you mean by saying that it's your ending, Michy?"
Ending. That word was the one that startled the four people. Michy could say the word casually as if he didn't mind having an ending like this, but it seemed the four people couldn't accept it.
"It's my backup plan," Michy answered while glancing at Azren and Felice in turn.. "If we can't clean my name, then I will just stop being an idol."
