Demons didn't need cars, and there was no car in the demon world either. The demons would only need to use their wings or their teleportation powers to move from one place to another place, so cars were useless for them.
That was why Azren was surprised to find a Driver's License in his wallet yesterday. His human brain then told him that a small card was needed to drive a car, but how was he supposed to drive a foreign object called a car when he had never touched it before?
He had seen cars yesterday when he was on the way to Michy's apartment and also when he was out to buy some clothes after Gizach left the residence yesterday.
Ah, yeah, Gizach. That crazy demon said vulgar things about the young idol yesterday, but Azren just ignored him and quickly asked the demon to leave the penthouse.
Azren regretted his decision to ask the devil to help him yesterday. The demon was extremely insane, and he had better avoid that demon at all costs in the future.
"Hey, you. Can you stop sighing and just start the engine already? You don't want me to be late, do you?"
Azren blinked confusedly before he looked up at the rearview mirror. From the reflection, he saw the idol scowling at him angrily. He just realized that he was daydreaming while sighing nonstop earlier.
He had readied himself behind the wheel, but he had not started the engine and was still glued to his seat. That ridiculous attitude made the young idol irritated.
"I'm sorry," Azren apologized before stretching out his right hand to start the car engine.
This was the first time he was going to drive a car, so he was nervous. His human brain did give him information about the steering wheel, gas pedal, brakes, etc., but that was just a theory in his head. He still had to put his theory into practice, and it was nerve-wracking.
He took a deep breath before exhaling slowly. After calming down, he then used his foot to press the gas pedal. He then smiled happily after the car successfully drove on the road. His human brain miraculously helped him to do things he had never done before.
"Why are you smiling like an idiot? Is it your first time driving? You have a Driving License, don't you?"
Michy, who was sitting on the back passenger seat, suddenly asked him a question.
Azren was still smiling as he answered, "I do have a Driving License, but it's the first time I'm driving a luxury car."
Thankfully, his brain could find a reasonable answer to the young idol's question.
Michy's car was indeed luxurious. It was a van-type car that had a glamorous interior and elegant exterior. Azren knew that celebrities usually used vans, but he believed Michy's car was the expensive model. Not all celebrities could use this type of car, especially if they were still newbies in the entertainment industry
"I should have expected it. You came from a poor family and have no money, right?"
Azren didn't know if Michy wanted to start a conversation with him or just wanted to make fun of him. Even so, he still answered the question calmly, "You are right. My family is poor, and my parents are long dead. You're also right that I have no money. I even spent all my money on some clothes yesterday, and my wallet is almost empty now."
Azren didn't mean to sound pathetic, but he was just telling the truth. Yesterday, he could only buy one pair of pants, two shirts, and two pairs of underwear. And his wallet had become very thin now.
And about his life story, that was the scenario in his head. Lucifer probably had made that scenario for him, and he just automatically blurted it out earlier.
Michy fell silent upon hearing the blonde's confession. Azren couldn't read what was on the human's mind, and he just glanced at the human from the rearview mirror.
"You don't even have money to continue your studies? I read your resume and found that you were only a high school graduate."
"That's true. I had no money and chose to work instead of continuing my studies."
Lucifer was indeed a good script-writer. The King of Hell had made such a scenario for him, and that probably would make his life look miserable.
The silver-haired youth fell silent once again. Azren peeped again at the youth through the rearview mirror and tried to guess what was on his mind.
Felice informed him that Michy was not a morning person and that he might need to work hard to wake the idol up, but the idol easily woke up when Azren only knocked on his door a few times this morning. Michy was unpredictable sometimes.
He was so preoccupied with his thoughts about Michy that he didn't notice that the green light had turned red. Filled with panic and fear, Azren struggled to hit the brakes with his foot. The car finally stopped before crashing into another car in front of them.
Both Azren and Michy's bodies swayed forward, but thankfully, their seatbelts managed to save them.
"Do you want to send me to Hell?" The idol immediately snapped loudly. "It's only your first day on the job, but you want me to die already?"
Azren could feel his heart pounding, either from the shock of what was about to happen or from Michy's screams. He indeed wanted to send Michy to Hell, but not this way.
"I'm sorry... I―"
"I don't need your bullshit!" The idol harshly cut his apology.
Azren was scared. He was afraid that the idol would fire him because of this incident. If that unfortunate thing happened, then he didn't know what he should do.
"Maybe it's my mistake to give you a chance," Michy whispered as he leaned his back against the back of the seat. "Maybe I should have kicked you out of my house instead of giving you a chance. I shouldn't have trusted a man with blonde hair again."
Azren frowned in confusion, but then the traffic light turned green again and he immediately stepped on the gas pedal again. His mind clouded over after hearing the blue-eyed boy whisper.
