Logically speaking, only the king should be sitting up on the dais where the throne is.
Even if it wasn’t just the king, anyone else should only be standing at the side. The King should still be the only one actually seated on the throne.
But it’s different in this world,.
That’s because, in this world, divine authority trumps royal authority.
Thus, no matter which nation it is, it’s always possible for someone aside from the King to appear upon the throne.
Right now, up on the dais where the throne is, three people sat.
The first is the King, sitting in the center – Ancilfrig Mitra.
The king just watched as Shien, still clad in an amazing aura, slowly approached step by step. His gaze shifting rapidly with thought.
Then there’s a white haired old man seated to the left of the throne, dressed in priestly garbs.
He’s the head of the temple, the gods’ representative in the mortal world. At the same time, he’s the leader of the entire church and all its priests. A person whose status does not lose out to that of any king, the pope – Joule.
Joule was also looking at Shien. He showed an amazed expression at the aura coming from Shien.
The final person, sitting to the King’s right, is a very young looking demon.
He’s one of the direct subordinates of the Dragon Demon. A high class demon among high class demons. His status is below only the six great demon lords, and the magic power coming from him is incomparably strong, standing out in a room where all others’ magic powers paled in comparison to that of Shien and Lucy – Jacinta.
This demon high commander was also looking at Shien right now with an expression of rare interest.
Ancil, Joule, and Jacinta. Those three all sat up on the dais. Just like Lucy and Aldia, they weren’t affected by Shien’s aura at all, a testament to their strength.
Of course, there are also a few who were able to keep their composure despite feeling the pressure.
For example, a portion of the royal knights were drawing upon their magic power to try to resist the aura pressing down on them.
For example, there were also a portion of the nobility who do have some abilities of their own, and thus also did their best to resist.
There was also person standing at the position closest to the throne, right besides Aldia. She looked quite similar to Lucy, and although she’s not quite at the same level of beauty, she was still quite beautiful. This noble looking woman was also observing Shien curiously.
Shien’s show of force had sent the entire throne room into chaos. Everyone there was in all kinds of different states.
Only when Shien had arrived right before the throne did he finally withdraw the oppressing aura that covered the throne room.
“Your majesty.”
Shien acted like nothing had happened, as if he didn’t do anything, and greeted Ancil with a knights salute.
This was something that Lucy taught Shien just then when they were on the way.
Originally, Lucy taught Shien a greeting proper toward one’s liege. That one required one to take a knee, but Shien had rejected it without hesitation. In the end, it turned into a knight’s salute instead.
But Shien wasn’t a knight, and normally, only the royal knights would be allowed to give a knight’s salute before the throne. Thus, the action could very easily be taken as disrespectful.
If not for the show of force just a moment ago, that is.
Now though, after the shock just now, everyone around were still staring at Shien was raw terror. Never mind rebuking him, most of them haven’t even managed to react yet, still stunned as they were.
“Very good!” As Ancil watched all of this, not only was he not dissatisfied, he instead spoke with gratification, “It looks like a great new talent has appeared from us humans!”
Ancil instead praised Shien.

Joule and Jacinta didn’t say anything either. They just stared at Shien, silently observing him.
As this happened, Lucy quietly left Shien and headed toward Aldia’s side and stood beside the noblewoman who looked like her. Only then did the people around them finally start reacting again. One after another, they got back up and tidied themselves up a bit. Plus, due to having embarrassed themselves, their faces were pale as they looked toward Shien with angry and hateful gazes. Even so, those gazes now had a fearful quality to it that it had previously lacked.
That’s the effect that Shien wanted after all.
He knew that there are going to be a lot of questions pointed at him for this audience, so he decided to simply use the more direct way to tell everyone one thing: That if they wanted to provoke him, then they should first properly reflect on if they have that capability.
Lucy herself saw through Shien’s goals. That’s why she didn’t stop him.
After all, this way, a lot of the nobles will have to seriously reconsider if they really wanted to slight Shien. This way, they could greatly minimize their troubles.
Ancil also gave his praise earlier for that reason, right?
Thus, Ancil looked about before speaking up.
“I believe that everyone already know this. This adventurer is our main character for this audience.”
Ancil’s voice clearly rang out.
“He had, on his own, defeated one of the masterminds behind the mass assassination ten years ago, Jillian.”
“He also fought the attacking Old Demon Faction during the transport of Jillian, and he had even succeeded in destroying them. This includes one of the other masterminds of the incident ten years ago, Baydr.”
“He is a great talent of the human race, as well as someone who accomplished a great merit for our Kingdom.”
“How then, we shall allow everyone to hear the entire process of how this all came to be.”
With those words, Ancil summoned several people.
“The third knight brigade of the Murrow marquis territory, Balon Murrow.”
“Adventurer of the Murrow marquis territory’s town of Lamdrion, Vivian.”
“Similiarly an adventurer of Lamdrion, Alrith.”
“And also, Leon.”
Ancil called out those four names.
“”””Your Majesty!””””
Vivian, Balon, Alrith, and Leon all took a knee, giving the proper greeting as appropriate toward one’s sovereign.
“You were the ones there.” Ancil looked over the four of them and spoke, “I hope to heard how the entire matter went down from the four of you, alright?”
Would those four really dare to say no to that?
Thus, Balon spoke up first.
“In that case then, allow I, Balon Murrow, to start the recounting.”
As he said that, Balon spoke loudly and started recounting how the whole thing unfolded.
The cause was the arrival of Leisha, who had been running away from the Old Demon Faction the whole time. That’s what drew the Old Demon Faction to Lamdrion and why they infiltrated the town.
Then, Jillian made contact with Shien during his search for Leisha but was instead subjugated by Shien. That was how the transportation quest came up.
Then was everything that happened said transport. That included the Old Demon Faction’s attack as well as Shien’s counterattack.
Balon reported everything, from cause to effect. And he did it very clearly at that. He even spoke of the matter with Shien’s “magic item”, not withholding the slightest detail.
