Chapter 76: How Unoriginal.

“Hmm?”

When Shine came down from the third floor with a book back to the first floor main hall, a strange sensation made him stop his movements.

Shien raised his head and looked around.

With that look, Shien noticed quite a few adventurers either hiding or blatantly looking in his direction.

“That’s him, right?”

“That’s right.”

“He doesn’t look like anything special.”

“Yeah.”

“I really don’t know just what’s going on.”

“Here I though this newbie will end up just like the last few. Either he’d get kicked out after staying with Miss Vivian’s party for a month, or he’d do something during the middle and get dealt with by Miss Diere.”

“That’s right.”

Whispered conversations in those veins faintly entered Shien’s ears.

Perhaps the other side were purposefully saying it in a way so that he could hear.

At least, Shien could see full well that of the ones having such conversations, many of them were glaring at him with derision and sneers.

Shien raised an eyebrow.

With the change in the conversations’ content and attitude, Shien could understand what had happened just slightly thinking about it.

“This is because of Vivian and them, huh?”

It looks like, before, when Shien was dragged upstairs by Vivian, that scene ended up provoking those adventurers.

This kind of development…

“It’s not going to end up like the cliché again, is it?”

Shien narrowed his eyes. He had no words.

Such a cookie cutter development can’t get Shien excited at all.

“So, is there going to be someone jumping out for me to beat down and show off now?”

Shien made a disdainful expression.

Rather than such boring developments that one could think a few dozen chapters of without even trying, Shien would rather hurry back and learn some magic.

He finally managed to get a chance to learn magic after all. Shien doesn’t was to instead waste his time on stuff that doesn’t do anything for him but raise his profile.

“Really, it can’t be helped…”

Shien quietly sighed as he picked up his feet again and walked toward the direction of the guild doors.

At the same time, Shien imagined all kinds of scenarios for what was likely to happen next.

Not long after…

“Oy, the newbie over there.”

Just as Shien was about to leave the guild, a huge figure finally appeared before him.

It was an adventurer resembling a humanoid bear: Bulging with muscles, carrying a bloody weapon on his back, with a vicious looking face.

That that moment, he stood in front of the guild door with his arms crossed while sneering down at Shien with derision.

The surrounding adventurers looked at that scene, and each of them showed an expression like they were anticipating a show.

Shien was forced to stop moving, and his head also lowered.

Seeing that, the huge adventurer laughed.

“Little…”

Just as the other was about to speak up, Shien suddenly raised his head.”

“Little brat, you seem to have gotten quite famous recently – Was that what you were about to say?”

Shien’s words made the huge adventurer freeze up.

“You…”

The huge adventurer was about to open his mouth again, as if he wanted to say something else.

However, Shien didn’t give him that chance.

“You think you’ll be fine just acting cool? Even so, I’m not going to let you off! – Was that what you wanted to say?”

Shien’s words made the other person’s shock turn to confusion.

“I…”

That person tried to speak up again.

Only…

“I am xxx, one of the top adventurers here in Lamdrion, with a level of xxx. I could crush a mere noob like you with a single hand, so pay attention and don’t piss me off – That’s what you wanted to say, right?”

Shien pushed the other person’s word back yet again, making that person’s face twitch and begin to turn red.

“Don’t…”

The huge adventurer started showing signs of anger on his face, and tried to say something. However, he failed yet again.

“Don’t think you can act like a big show just because Vivian is backing you. If that’s what you think, I’ll show you what’s for right now, brat – That’s what you wanted to say, right?”

Shien just sighed in front of the huge adventurer in front of him. His half lidded eyes turned bored, as if he had no patience left whatsoever.

“Sorry, I know full well just what you wanted to say, and in fact I can probably write a few pages of script for you. If that’s all you wanted to say, then can you just get out of the way? I’m busy now.”

Shien just used the most direct attitude and words to show his own impatience.

As he said that, Shien didn’t even give the other person the time to respond. Instead, he just moved to pass the huge adventurer by while still holding his book.

“Really, so unoriginal.”

Shien just left that muttered remark.

That remark though managed to very successfully enrage that huge adventurer.

“Why you…!?”

That huge adventurer ended up drawing the bloody weapon on his back while under the influence of rage, turned around, and was about to attack Shien.

However, the moment that huge adventurer turned around, what appeared in his vision was the bottom of a boot.

“Bang!”

With the sound of a dull impact, the huge bear-like adventurer was sent flying with a kick. He slammed into the floorboards of the adventurers guild, having sent a bunch of tables and chairs flying during his own flight, and was buried in the remains of said furniture amid the surprised cries of the surrounding adventurers.

“W-what!?”

“Th-that newbie actually made a move!?”

“A-A single kick managed to send that guy flying!?”

The surrounding adventurers that were anticipating a show were all greatly surprised and begun making noise.

At the front doors of the guild though, Shien just pulled back his leg and, while still under the gazes of the assorted adventurers, spoke up without any energy.

“Going for violence the moment he felt insulted without a second though?”

“As expected. No originality whatsoever.”

Shien just muttered that and, without a hint of care, turned about in front of everyone in the guild and left.

“That…”

The crowd of adventurers that personally witnessed the event didn’t manage to react at all. They just looked at Shien who left without a thought and then the unconscious huge adventurer buried under furniture with a boot print on his face. They all lost their abilities to talk for a while.

By the time the guild workers came up in a hurry, those adventurers have finally begun looking at each other without any idea just how they should be reacting.

However, it must be said though, Shien’s actions throughout that event did give those adventurers quite an impression.

That impression was, that newbie’s quite merciless.

And by the time Leili and Vivian heard about the matter, the two of them just looked at each other and then finally just gave a helpless laugh.

“That guy…”

Vivian was rather resigned.

“He really is an interesting person.”

Leili begun laughing.

Afterwards, that minor event became quite a topic among the adventurer’s gossip.

As for what kind of affect that will have, well, who knows.
